«КОСМИЧЕСКИЕ КАЛЬМАРЫ» (SQUIDS FROM SPACE) — это тактическая вертикальная, основанная на командной работе PvP-стратегия с элементами шутера. В игре на Землю нападает раса зловещих пришельцев — Кальмаров!
Игра отправит вас в прошлое, в год 1950. Люди Земли должны объединиться, чтобы дать отпор вторжению, применяя в битве за будущее планеты созданное человечеством оружие против инопланетных технологий Кальмаров!
ОСОБЕННОСТИ
- Играйте за человека и защищайте Землю или играйте за Кальмара и завоевывайте ее!
- Участвуйте в хаотических перестрелках на фоне беззаботного и цветного мира.
- Бои длятся по 10–15 минут, что позволяет играть именно столько времени, сколько захочется.
- В качестве людей палите по врагам из огнестрельного оружия и реактивных ружей, забрасывайте врагов гранатами и динамитом!
- А в качестве кальмаров жгите врагов смертоносными лучами или сейте смерть на огромном гусеничном танке!
- Побеждайте своих оппонентов лучшей стратегией, собрав различные ресурсы и разблокировав для своей команды более эффективное оружие.
- По мере ведения военных действий по всей карте взрывайте машины, заправки, бочки с нефтепродуктами и многое другое.
- Места отсутствующих членов команды автоматически занимают ИИ-боты в виде разнообразных персонажей.
- На выбор предлагается большое количество вспомогательного оружия для тех, кто хочет помочь членам своей команды

Bought it as a child
Game dead now
While it was once a fun game, Its been dead since 2020. The Developer 'Funbits' is defunct from what i can tell, as this was their last game before shutting down their website.
Died because lack of players. Abandonware.
Since Feb. 2020 no updates, no new content ... nothing.
This Game is not in Early Access, this game is dead!
Steam should stop selling it!
Good game, but sadly no more development. If it was full of players I would have still played it. AI is terrible. There is always one team either humans or squids that AI completelly forgets to pick up stuff to progress level. So you are basically alone agains an entire enemy team. This is even worse if you play squid team. Too bad.
Fun but Squids are OP and even though I was playing online, I felt like I was playing with bots. I don't know if there are players but they definitely coded the bots well to the untrained eye. It's fun for a storyless online pvp game so I'll recommend.

Very fun. Takes sometime to learn but its really balanced during Community Events. Great community around the game. I've had a lot of fun so far.
Just bought the game on the winter sale for .49 cents and after playing 1 round decided to buy 11 more copies... graphically, musically and mechanically it's a wonderful joyride of whacky fun... It is a must have for anyone that enjoys whacky pvp games... well worth the money even at their whopping 2.99 full price tag...
I kept my negative review below for clarity. This plays much better now and servers are easier to join. No more OP players roaming around. I do wish there was a way to add friends to one side instead of being auto-assigned, but overall this is a fresh and fun multiplayer experience.

There's only one server and the dev is on there with superweapons. But it's the only way you can play with friends online.
RESPONSE TO DEV: Then what was the giant mech that the dev strutted around with during Halloween? We stopped playing on the dev server because we were simply overpowered every time. I bought seven copies of this game to get other people to play, since it is a fun MP game. But we've lost them all, because nobody could learn how to play. We kept getting our asses kicked.
Scaling servers don't help if the dev server never fills up - and it never seems to. Point is, I spent money to get a fun MP game for my friends and I. Instead we paid to get slapped around by superplayers who clearly have access to things we don't. Consequently nobody wants to play this anymore. When I complained, the dev just said we could wait for launch. In other words, thanks for the money, now sod off.
this game was a lot of fun and good laughs. devs seem cool, supportive of their community, and looking to expand. definitely worth.
If you enjoyed Fat Princess, you'll enjoy this game and more. It's still in early access, so it's got some bugs here and there, but it's to be expected. The playerbase is still small, but I think once more features come in and the game starts taking off, this game will be one to keep an eye on. :)
Was is the mood for someMars Attacks action and picked this up. It did not disappoint. If you want to fight aliens with mechs or take over soldiers brains as a squid then this game is for you. You probably will not play with other people but I didnt mind. My AI comrades kicked ass and the aliens put up a real fight. Definitely recommend, especially now seeing as its only a dollar, though Id say its worth full price.
I bought this game about 3 hours ago, and currently have 2.8 hours playtime. It's so addictive. I'm loving it, the community is awesome and I highly suggest anyone who likes top down shooters.. grab it now!
All of the hours I spent in my life playing Fat Princess...is probably going to be nothing compared to my time on Squids from Space.
It's a team based 8v8 action/strategy, humans vs. squids, with multiple weapons, powers, and vehicles to choose from. Different game modes and maps also change the strategy of your attack (or defense?) per round! Do you spend time collecting resources to upgrade your team's weapon arsenal, or do you concentrate on the immediate goals to get a head start against the opponents?
I really enjoy this game. It has good variety of weapons/maps, vehicles and it's a very fast paced combat game with awesome retro-scifi themes to it.
I played my first game with a few people and rest were AI. A couple games of all AI and I am not sure if there is a way to change servers or find/host games yet, but I hope it improves with a bigger online community. It's very fun!
Everything I wanted from fat princess and more! Teamplay is really solid and theres some real flavor differences between aliens and huamns.
You can team up with friends against bots, go all out pvp, or a mix of both. A variety of unique weapons, also has tanks!
Highly reccomended!
Anyone who enjoyed fat princess will love this. Same developers. I love how fun and casual this game is. Its a fresh change of pace and I think people will enjoy it. For me personally, i love this game and i plan on playing it for a while. In addition, i love this dev team
Awesome. Fat Princess fans, this is it. This game is awesome, and is the closest thing you'll find to Fat Princess on PC. We need more players!!! It is way too cool. I like the variety of weapons, and the asymetry between the two teams (human vs squids).
This game is fun, at first i thought the squids were the only worthwile team to be on like most games where teams have seperate gameplay styles but it was fun on both teams, sadly i think ive only played against bots
So please get this game and increase the player base
This title reminds me a tiny bit of the game Fat Princess, including how carrying the commanders back to base in a group is faster. I look forward to future updates. There is potential here. I will review this game properly once the game is more fleshed out.
Edit: I didn't know it initially but the Fat Princess connection ran deeper than I thought, having Devs from that game. They are very friendly, inviting to play, and responsive to the small community that exists here. I really want this game to do well. It is a shame that it is buried under lackluster AAA titles and throngs of cookie cutter indie games and asset flips. Some of the criticisms starting to pop up are are understandable, to a point, from the average gamer's standpoint. There is a server rotation that allows users to have better ping at different points in the day based on play time in a given region. Server costs are obviously an issue and this is the way that they decided to to do things with the current community size. From a technical standpoint this is an Early Access title, and there are bugs, but even still it is highly playable, and gorgeous to look at. I saw one review pointing out that a dev was in-game cheating, yet they were ignorant in the fact that the Dev was using something accessible to all players. Ignorance in itself is NOT inherently bad as that is simply the absence of knowledge. But, people are making snap judgements without further investigating a situation and making conclusions with willful ignorance which IS entirely bad. The game is coming along. It's small, but that is also reflected in the price point. More people need to play this game, it is a gem in the rough and I would hate to see it go under. The bots are decent and my friends and I have been defeated by them one time or another, but you can start to learn their ways. As with most games, it is definitely a more challenging experience when played against other people and you will often see more people on during the weekends. When a full game gets going it is frantic and chaotic in all the good ways.
Great artwork/animations, sound effects and music combined with a sci fi "B" movies feel and humour together with upgrades/levelling XP, and loads of different weapons and other stuff combined with destructible scenery.
Good bot AI.

Well, this is a nice game. A team-based top-down shooter with MOBA elements. The human and squid teams are distinct and have their own gameplay styles.
Each match starts with both teams collecting stuff scattered across the entire map to get better weapons and abilities, but the main goal is CTF: capture 3 human commanders or squad brains.
The game is really fun and has awesome graphics, specially the game effects. It also features destructible environment, which is really great. If two teams are even then the match might stretch for an hour long of endless massacre.
However, SFS also has it's shortcomings connected with the early access status of the game, which are:
1) Lack of content (Maps, customizations, new phases etc)
2) Communication - there's no chat in this game at all right now!
3) Latency and Servers - I have only 1 server available. Also the game feels like it stutters (The input is delayed up to 1.5 seconds) and the ping is pretty high.
4) Balance - squids seem to have more power than the humans.
Wait for improvements and content enlargement.
