It's a very fun game from the videos I've seen if only my vr could work
jMain problem with this game is you are given a ton of power but you have to barely use it or else you lose. Humans shouldnt matter.
Didnt personally like the game. Just to simple and clunky and my pc might not be good enough for it. Feels slightly unfinished and absolutely able to tell its from 2017. 100% has potential with a higher budget for a sequal or remake.
YYYYEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!! i love it so much play it!!! play it now!!!!
space and mass genocide
cant commit genocide:steamsad:
Very repetitive, bad movements, and just gets boring easily
If your in for the entire story, don't play this game. This game has a good story, but there is one part of the game called M5 and its impossible or just overwhelmingly hard.
Very fun concept. Final boss really brings back that early 2000s boss vibe. But it's probably not worth 16$ when you can clear everything in 2-3 hours and the free play doesn't have a lot to offer besides blowing up procedurally generated buildings on earth, or visiting an infinite number of procedural barren planets that you can't destroy. The game becomes increasingly unstable the more stuff you destroy/gets deployed on earth, resulting in large chunks not rendering. Overall decent game but could go next level with some improvements to city generation, planet busting abilities besides earth, something to do with the infinite galaxies, stars, and planets, and offering an ending story mode in which you actually follow through with the end game message.
this game is horrible the fact that you have to beat the story mode before you can play free play which was the only reason i bought this and the story mode can take up to 17 hours to beat this game is the WORST THING I HAVE EVER BOUGHT OFF STEAM
Not sure how this game is so highly rated. The game has you aim with your head and uses 3d video as a way to "create the environment". yea loading a whole world wouldnt work but this just feels super clunky and unfinished.
its a little repetitive but yeah the only good superhero game
what an incredible game! this needs either a sequel or a hell of a lot more funding to make it better! being able to travel planet to planet, solar system to solar system, galaxy to galaxy is not only insanely impressive but to me sets a new standard for space travel games. so damn good!
guess who finally got his powers haha
its very cool its fun it lets you go into galaxies all 100mil very good game
Fun game, but the way the difficulty increases ensures you literally can't get better at the game as your progress, M6 made me want to slit my wrists. If you like to torture yourself with pointlessness, this game is for you
this is probably the best super hero game that ive ever played even though its pretty old
very good
Perfect, this game should get more attention. The graphics are OUT OF THIS WORLD, literally. If you have a high end PC and a VR headset that can connect to your pc and you like superheros (or being a villian) this game is for you!
Blew up the planet.
10/10 would commit mass extermination of the humans again
the vision is warped on quest 3 and it makes it unplayable, also the controls are really weird, i dont feel like a god i feel like a god who cant use their powers right
THE GAME SUCKS BECAUSE IT WONT LET YOU GO IN FREE MODE IT MAKES YOU DO HARD MISSIONS FIRST.
Too Short
its so good expeshilly with the mods
Game came out in 2017 and for VR it really shows...
The game is not really work the price tag AT ALL. maybe at 90% discount.
The issue with this is that sure it is old, but rather its just a meaningless and somewhat awkward to play.
The sand box element is not strong enough, and the enemies are EXTREMELY lacklustre. There is not a single "fun" thing about this to carry more than 10 minutes. It is essentially Google earth but looks worse and has super rudimentary enemies. The VR sandbox allows to blow up buildings... I guess some can get some enjoyment of it but again its only fun for 10 minutes. There are countless of other grteat VR games to play, this one is a hard Pass.
I can envision a new updated and a contemporary version of this which can be great, this feels like it is just a prototype or a version to get idea out to investors.
very fun concept but is hampered by extremely frusterating movement both on desktop and vr
cool but not worth it i would say
Extremely indie, extremely ambitious, a winning combination.
I stand- or, well, float above a city. Thousands of people below, living their lives. There was a time I used to be human too, but now I'm something else. I look down at my hands, it feels like I'm barely here. It feels like my body barely has any mass, just pure, raw, barely contained limitless energy. With a flick of my hand I can let some out. The blast would level a building or two instantly, and leave a dent in the ground the size of a lake.
I move. I'm standing on the surface of the moon, looking at Earth. It took Apollo 11 three days to make the trip, after years of work and countless of man-hours spent. It took me two seconds to spot the moon in the sky, and five seconds to reach it.
I don't have the words to describe what I'm feeling, looking at that blue marble. Within it countless people have lived their lives. But right now it feels so tiny, so fragile.
I move at the speed of thought, in a blink I see more marbles approach, grow to the size of planets, and then shrink away into nothing again. Mars, Saturn, Mercury, I stop on its surface a moment, I stand under a sky no other human has seen in person. I have been on the surface of the sun, but a part of my mind, perhaps leftover from when I was human, doesn't like being this close to something so big. It feels wrong.
I keep going, past the space in between star systems, through the cloud that is the milky way, our entire galaxy, everything humans could ever hope to reach, I can go beyond it, I see the entire thing all at once in front of me. The space between galaxies is unpleasant to travel through. This form has given me a poor sense of perspective, being able to move across the galaxy in a blink means it's easy to not notice how big something is. Being out here feels like it is impossible to hold onto any sense of scale.
I fly past a dozen galaxies. I don't know what I'm looking for. There is no other life out here, anywhere I have been. There's only humans, and the intruders, and neither of them are out here. There isn't anybody out here.
I feel the presence of the intruders again. I am back in Earth in seconds.
Megaton Rainfall is, in many ways, flawed. But there's simply nothing like it.
It's maddening that this kind of game would never be made by a bigger studio in the current climate of the game industry- for a lot of reasons that I won't get into. A part of me desperately hopes we will one day see a game that takes another stab at the ideas in Megaton Rainfall. But I fear it wouldn't be the same, that this game is lightning in a bottle and there may never be anything like it. Maybe despite all the rough edges this is already the best version of this game that could ever exist.
it good
game is pretty good but in the vr version you cant do free mode and you cant destroy planets. so i mainly play on pc. vr version is still fun but the game gets no updates. I i would give the game a 8.5/10
its a very good game, although i think it would be better if you could have free mode without doing the missions and that you can turn it on/off in settings.
This is a mans actual childhood dream come true. Thanks for this!
this was my first VR game i had quite some fun with it
but also it shows how far vr gaming has gotten over the years
this game is now almost nine years old
and it's still fun call a personal Biased but it's a win for me
great
This game is good, it kind of feels like it badly wants to be a movie and it's a little weird for that sometimes. Like when you're playing, You'll occasionally encounter scenes where you basically are given an "open ended tour" of a place or something while music plays in the background and the sea passes underneath. It's trying very hard to present itself in a scenic way I guess is what I'm saying, and it's forcing the player into that role and unless you execute it kind of perfectly you'll end up crashing into the water or mountains and shit while the soundtrack for your intended 'cutscene' plays in the background. I'm a frequent traveler IRL so I like taking in the sights of real life historical places but I wasn't really wowed by these parts of the game both in VR or on my screen. It could've done without those parts but that's just my personal opinion
it doesn't have that many hours of content in it but its fun so its worth it, and its an experience to be had in VR, though the gesture controls are a little iffy, once you get the hang of it, its not so bad. On some of the more challenging missions, the gesture controls will probably feel like a difficulty spike for you since timing will be more important, so messing up a shot when you have the opportunity will probably make you lose.
I think it uses google for an approximate rendering of the entire planet for the most part, as well as the galaxies and stars around us, black holes, etc. Of all the things it could have fucked up as far as the guessing game of traveling speeds for intergalactic movement, it ironically did not screw that up. That being said, there's not much on those planets aside from very specific ones (which you will be looking for), so like most of the world, exploring everything is kind of pointless even though its very cool that you can do it in the first place. The enemies fit sort of well into the gameplay but also are very samesie.
So, in summary, the game is fun in both concept and in execution, the controls could be improved, and i wish there was more content in the game itself, more/different kinds of powers, more missions and enemies, but for 15.99 it was pretty worth it anyway so if its ever on sale it's definitely worth it.
Good game, pretty innovative. Still wrestling with getting the controls the way I like them - the oculus hand controls aren't the best
motion control is totally broken + you have to literally beat the game to unlock free roam??
Dope for sure
Fly, destroy ships, fly, destroy ships. Thats the game. Its a vr demo, a poorly made vr demo.
Couldn't make it work on Quest 3.
Very unplayable. What promised as a fun, superhero simulator, is actually a complicated mess. Firstly, can't turn of Vignetting. I have found ways in most VR games, but this one is either hidden or not available. I understand it is for people who experience motion sickness. But I am fortunately not burdened by this issue. So why can't I turn it off? The game is relatively old, especially in today's standard of VR games. I was looking for an Ironman VR substitute, or at least a Homelander/Superman simulator. What I got what repetitive, pointless garbage. It is basically an aim and shoot game. Which is fine, if the game didn't punish you for missing, but also basing your aim off of your head position! I have to look, or at least move the reticle with my head. That sucks. I don't feel like even the first power has anything to do with me, no charge up, no indication if it will fire. Seriously? I am sure it was a gem in it's day, but right now it was a waste of time.
this game hides from you the simple fact that you can actually fly anywhere in the universe, and i mean that literally. you can fly away from the planet and fly to Alpha Centauri, or even to Sagittarius A*: the black hole in the middle of our galaxy. if that isn't good enough for you, you can just leave the galaxy. all kinds of celestial bodies are modeled, even the occasional brown dwarf if i recall correctly. be careful not to get lost in the intergalactic void, though.
i don`t recommend this becuase if you want to play free roam you have to finish the game and why call it free roam when you can`t even do anything like i want to destroy the city but there is a casualty meter please remove the casualty meter in free roam
Game doesnt work anymore. Like other reviews I click play and it says that its starting then nothing happens. Dont buy this POS cash grab of a game
super good but there are some things that i want to be added #1 add airplanes and boats the reason i want this is because i want more destructon and it would make it feel more modern
this game was amazing i played for only one time and accidentally finished the game in one go 10/10 addicting
An incredibly interesting game that doesn't really appeal to me at all.
This game has you playing as a type of god-like being who can traverse the globe in seconds and fire massive energy blasts at will. While you're playing as this being, your goal is to protect a modern earth civilization from an unknown alien force.
The main reason I'm not a fan of this game, in spite of it having pretty good controls, and interesting premise, and an incredible earth model that you can fly through at high speeds, is how finicky the gameplay actually is. You'd think that playing as this ultimate god-like entity that can blast pure energy from your hands would make you feel incredibly powerful, but the gameplay makes you feel incredibly weak, and requires an incredible amount of both movement and firing precision.
The game has you chase and destroy alien invaders and protect the citizens of earth. You cannot take damage, but each mission has a "casualty" level that takes place of a traditional health bar. As the invaders destroy the cities they invade, they cause casualties, so you need to destroy these invaders as quickly as possible. On top of this, your own attacks will cause casualties as well. The second ability you obtain gives you a charged blast that, if fired at the ground, will destroy the entire city all at once losing you the mission immediately. So, you need to defeat the invaders as quickly as possible while also avoiding missing the enemies and firing directly down. The issue, is that every enemy ship has a different speed, attack pattern, and weak spot. If you attempt to destroy a ship without using this weak point, it will take several seconds, several shots, and you'll likely have to chase them down several times as they go from spot to spot killing people. If you hit an enemies weak spot, you'll either stop their attack immediately or destroy the outright.
If you're interested in a game that requires a lot of skill and trial and error in both the movement mechanics and combat mechanics, this game is for you. However, I really just don't like it much and can't recommend this to most people. If you want a power fantasy game, this isn't it, because the game is far too difficult to make you really feel like you're the one with power.
really fun
I cant get the VR to work I have try everything I can think of and what is on the web but nothing seems to work
