An incredibly interesting game that doesn't really appeal to me at all.
This game has you playing as a type of god-like being who can traverse the globe in seconds and fire massive energy blasts at will. While you're playing as this being, your goal is to protect a modern earth civilization from an unknown alien force.
The main reason I'm not a fan of this game, in spite of it having pretty good controls, and interesting premise, and an incredible earth model that you can fly through at high speeds, is how finicky the gameplay actually is. You'd think that playing as this ultimate god-like entity that can blast pure energy from your hands would make you feel incredibly powerful, but the gameplay makes you feel incredibly weak, and requires an incredible amount of both movement and firing precision.
The game has you chase and destroy alien invaders and protect the citizens of earth. You cannot take damage, but each mission has a "casualty" level that takes place of a traditional health bar. As the invaders destroy the cities they invade, they cause casualties, so you need to destroy these invaders as quickly as possible. On top of this, your own attacks will cause casualties as well. The second ability you obtain gives you a charged blast that, if fired at the ground, will destroy the entire city all at once losing you the mission immediately. So, you need to defeat the invaders as quickly as possible while also avoiding missing the enemies and firing directly down. The issue, is that every enemy ship has a different speed, attack pattern, and weak spot. If you attempt to destroy a ship without using this weak point, it will take several seconds, several shots, and you'll likely have to chase them down several times as they go from spot to spot killing people. If you hit an enemies weak spot, you'll either stop their attack immediately or destroy the outright.
If you're interested in a game that requires a lot of skill and trial and error in both the movement mechanics and combat mechanics, this game is for you. However, I really just don't like it much and can't recommend this to most people. If you want a power fantasy game, this isn't it, because the game is far too difficult to make you really feel like you're the one with power.
really fun
I cant get the VR to work I have try everything I can think of and what is on the web but nothing seems to work
fun game.
dogshit in vr tho
I can watch the world burn in my hands
It's a very good game, you can play in VR, but the only thing I'm sad about is the free mode, it doesn't show on my meta quest 2 but it does on my computer. Over all other then the free mode on VR, it's a great game!
Nice game if on sale.
5 hours long if you play on chill. but you can Finish game for 2-3 hours, if you want
It is very fun, and after you beat the game, free mode let's you become god. I will try it in VR when I get the chance to.
W Dr Manhattan Simulator
Best game I have played by far, I love the way you can go to other galaxies, destroy aliens, and be good or bad. I also love the little secret when you destroy a city enough times. I also love the difficulty of the game, it isn't so hard you want to punch the screen of you're pc and not so easy it is boring. it is a perfectly balanced game with great potential.
Thank you for making this amazing game.
The game stopped working after a while and then it just wouldn't let me play the game ever again
why is this game so underrated? its so cool and good and GOD I WISH IT WOULD BE MORE POPULAR. please play this game, its amazing
fun little game, fun to kill people
its great
Needs fix. the game has an issue that makes it visually unplayable on quest 3. warped vision. have to give it a one star
The story and missions are the weakest point of the game, but the space exploration side makes up for it. Honestly, they should have just made the whole game about saving other planets that you have to travel to from the Intruders.

Works on Reverb G2.
Megaton Rainfall looks outdated in VR, and it becomes very frustrating to play after just a few missions due to unfair difficulty and imprecise gesture recognition.
It starts pretty good: defending the city is fun, when you have enough room for failure. It plays like a comedy at times: you are destroying more buildings than the aliens, and fighting in famous places feels like beginning of Team America World Police. But quickly the game raises the difficulty to a point, when you can't more than just a few mistakes and then it becomes just tedious.
Same thing happens with gesture combat: it starts ok when you have just a few moves. But with every new power introduced their hand gesture starts to overlap with each other. It is almost impossible to use telekinesis without casting a missile few times on accident. With previously mentioned increase in difficulty, such mishaps lead to a quick failure.
Visuals are ambitious and well optimized, but they look grainy with any supersampling rate and terrible up close.
Ningen Zero Keikaku intensifies
This game sucks the fattest dick I have ever seen. Get literally anything else for the same price not a winded, long ass stupid fucking piece of shit escort mission game like this one. Not Dark Souls, not Bloodborne, not even Elden Ring or Sifu have pissed me off like this game has.

AMAZING
Megaton Rainfall: The Ultimate Superpowered Mayhem Simulator 🌎💥
Ever dreamed of being an unstoppable superhero? Megaton Rainfall hands you godlike powers and says, "Save the Earth!"—but also, "Try not to accidentally obliterate a city block." Oops. 😅🏙️
The sense of scale in this game is mind-blowing! You’re zipping around the globe at super speeds, blasting aliens out of the sky like a cosmic fireworks display. 🌌🚀 But beware—your powers are so ridiculously over-the-top that one wrong move can turn a skyscraper into rubble faster than you can say "Oops, my bad." 💣😬
The VR immersion? Chef's kiss. 🥽👌 You’ll feel like a true superhero as you soar through the atmosphere, vaporizing invaders with energy beams that make Iron Man look like a rookie. The sheer thrill of saving humanity (or unintentionally leveling a neighborhood) is unmatched. 🌟🦸♂️
If you’re ready for a game that combines epic battles, jaw-dropping visuals, and a little bit of chaos, Megaton Rainfall is a must-play. Just… maybe don’t play it near a fragile ego or a city planner. 😉🔥

i cant run this game for some reason because its a 32 bit game and i have a 64 bit computer so it cant run together : (
Game does not work at all. I keep trying to load the game by pressing "play" and it just doesnt work. if you want to waste your money this is the game for you.
The game is what it says it is however i rather be a super villain and with no sandbox mode it is not really a game for me especially considering i have to fight aliens with controls that are too jittery for my taste.
VR in this game makes me feel like god, resplendent and valiant.
10/10 awesome superpower sim.
I didn't know about this game at all. Quite old, and it does show its age. However is quite enjoyable. Flying around is pretty cool and destroying buildings is super satisfying. It's a thumb up for me! Here's my full impressions: https://youtu.be/4O-_KC-iabY?si=DtjC4U7mbTSqNAnQ
Has everything that makes a game good. A good story, easy to learn, something to do post-game, all of it. Very fun and entertaining and would highly recommend. Definitely worth the price.
Livin' la vida loca
After playing it for about 10hrs in offline mode, I can definitely say this game is one of the most incredible experiences I've had in a very long time. This product is a tech miracle with a lot of different things to make your jaw drop to the floor.
After some time it may get a bit boring due to quite limited set of instruments to play with, but it still is 100% worth it's money and I can't really stress how impressive the first playthrough may be. It is weird to see how unpopular Megaton Rainfall is, and I think it's totally undeserved.
Definitely recommended to anyone, especially if you haven't heard about it before and don't even know what to expect.
fucking runtime its not letting me play the fucking game.
purple guy vs 4d aliens
and the occasional collateral damage
Oh boy its like a superman game if you were the clunky idiot you are now but with superpowers so if you accidentally miss you kill 5000 people by bringing down a skyscraper into the middle of New York city or London.
Megaton Rainfall is a game where you are an uplifted regular joe human who now has the powers of a god. You're invincible, can shoot megaton and gigaton blasts from your hands, can fly faster than the speed of light, and cut entire buildings in half with a superheated laser.
So whats the point of this game?
Well a bunch of aliens, sort of like War of The Worlds or Independence Day style aliens, are trying to exterminate humanity. God has uplifted you and given you the task of defeating them and save humanity because we are his special super creations and he loves us.
...except this God seems a little unclear as to what he needs humans for. He does *need* us but does not really explain why and clearly seems to be hiding some things, like why the aliens are trying to kill us to begin with and why he can't help except to uplift a champion to fight in his name.
The game has an INCREDIBLE movement system. Its honestly really one of the most amazing I've seen in an a game. In VR the game performs a bit jankily, but it makes up for it in pure immersion as you fly through the air fast enough to circle the globe to get to the next spot the aliens are up to no good. You can also free fly between missions and explore the universe. And I DO mean the *entire* universe. Granted most of it is procedurally generated, but there is enough geniunely beautiful setpieces out there that its kind of worth it just to zip around and look at the andromeda galaxy or land on a moon overlooking two twin planets with rings around a blue sun. I honestly spent more time exploring than I probably did on the campaign. Thats not to say there is nothing out there to find. The creator has left logs hidden among the stars if you can find them. They'll reveal more on what his motivations are. And maybe someone else might have found those logs too...
The gameplay is pretty straight forward though. Its an arcade experience where you have to defeat enemies before they do too much damage to the local city enough for it to be considered "destroyed". This involves hitting their weak points or sometimes just pummelling them with enough shots to kill them without their weak points. This gets more complex over time. Some enemies are immune to damage until they are about to attack. Others are easily dispatched but like to dodge left or right, making it easy for you to miss and accidentally kill thousands of people with one of your massive megaton blasts. Some enemies have tiny weak spots that need to be hunted down, like giant snakelike enemies that tunnel through buildings and only have an eye you can shoot to kill it.
As you defeat these aliens the creator will reward you with new powers. Everything from stopping time, to reversing gravity in an area. Tunnelling down into the planet. (which is secretly a superspeed ability if you use it while leaving the planet as it will accelerate you to dizzying speeds that lets you travel between galaxies in seconds) And even straight upgrades to your regular abilities.
The game is short, maybe a few hours long if you're good. Its got a time attack mode and a free mode if you beat the game which is nice. There is also a lot of random easter eggs in the game. If you know the location of an actual monument you can usually find them here in game. Everything from Big Ben, to Stonehenge, The Pyramids, ect. The game gives you no indication that these places exist except for Stonehenge, but the others are all still there.
The difficulty isn't too bad if you're playing with controller. It spikes a bit in VR though just due to the difficulty in utilizing VR controls. The gesture system, while immersive, is kinda garbage. Having to hold your hands in a kamehameha position to charge up your blasts is cool but it is kinda of difficult in the heat of battle. Also having to wave your hands just so to trigger your laser blast is annoying. Fortunately this can be disabled and you can just use button controls in VR but aiming just isn't as easy as it is on the gamepad.
So is this game worth it?
Abso freaking lutely. I picked this game up on sale on a whim and man oh man was I surprised and pleased. Its a fun game with a neat story and I honestly wish this game had a sequel. I'd be a day 1 player if it did. The VR is a bit jank but man, going to the moon in VR and looking back at earth is a transcendental experience. No other game can quite deliver on the experience Megaton Rainfall does. It also has a banger of a soundtrack both in combat and during your exploration scenes.
Get this game whether you're VR or not, and save the earth. Your creator demands it.
Doesn't even open
very fun open world
A low-resolution graphics game and dull story about Superman's being. Actually, not Superman. But we do the same here: fly in space, attack with laser beams, and fight aliens.
Already, after 5 minutes, I realized the game was sucky. The graphics are worse than on the trailer, the story is completely weak and the game itself is empty.
