Lightbender is a bright, colorful, and fun puzzle game based on the physics of light. Hit the targets by manipulating beams of different colors. Use prisms to split the lights, mirrors to bend the lights, lenses to combine the lights, and dark matter to invert the lights!
Play 240 puzzles with 5 difficulty levels!
You can even build your own puzzles! Challenge your friends by sharing your levels.

Place a mirror on the grid to bend the light. You can rotate mirrors to redirect the beams toward the goal.

Prisms split lights into their components. Hit multiple targets by breaking one beam of light into multiple colors.
White becomes Red, Green, and Blue.
Yellow becomes Red and Green.
Magenta becomes Red and Blue.
Cyan becomes Green and Blue.

Lenses combine lights to produce a new color. Place them on the grid to transform two or three beams of light into one new color. Think of them as the opposite of prisms.

Dark Matter turns a beam of light into the opposite color.
Red becomes Cyan and vice versa
Green becomes Magenta and vice versa
Blue becomes Yellow and vice versa
As the levels progress in difficulty, you'll have to use all of these tools in combination with one another to hit all of the targets!

Think you've got the skills to outwit your friends? Create your own levels using one or all of the tools listed above. Submit your levels to the Lightbender database and your work could end up featured in a future (FREE) DLC level pack! The top user-created levels will be featured as DLC levels for everyone to download and play.
In the meantime, share your levels instantly with friends and family. You can also save your levels on your device's Lightbender account for free play anytime.

it's a bit buggy, but nevertheless a lot of fun. For 02,99€ an absolute steal. If you like puzzle games like Prelogate, I would absolutely recommend.
As a puzzle game with simple concepts, this game is not good enough to be an elaborately well-made one.
This game has some really neat and cute levels, yet many rests of them are disappointed.
Each pack includes 30 levels nevertheless many of them are made of same pattern. Levels seem to be randomly arranged with no order of diffculty or other purposed order.
With the disorder of difficulty, player may always find a lot of "too easy" or "meaningless" levels in the end of game.
Some complicate levels hold obviously useless gears for no reason, and the size of the board makes no sense for the space always be wasted, even some levels are placed in the wrong size pack. Such kinds of problems reveal the inadequacy in game puzzle design.
Obviously, the game mechanic allows player seperate or combine the light with lightbend gears. But this mechanic appears to be so limilted.
Player needs not consider the matter that more than two functional gears effects in the sametime for the limitation of the game. If player do this, or just put more functional gears together, the game display will be broken.
This problem makes the superposition of lights with different colors following no logic. And player should carefully avoid such situation by themselves, for sometimes it could be seriously giltched, even get the whole game break down, which is very confusing.
The only control is keyboard, but the indicator of cursor is really bad.
Some other annoying glitches still exist, like the resolution always switch to default when you back from desktop. Player may need reset the option every time.
When I got all of game complete, the achievement seems to be bugged, I may never get the game finished achievement.
Great buy for $3. Going through first level of difficulty. Puzzles are fun and get the creative problem-solving gears spinning nicely. So far solutions' difficulties range from straightforward to pleasantly surprisingly.
Neat puzzle game! Like the different ways the light colours can be modified and the use of the RGB colour spectrum. Recommended to casual gamers and puzzle fans. One thing to note though is that the level of difficulty is a little random, with no real progression in difficulty from one puzzle to the next.
Lightbender has a very simple concept, get the right colour light ti the receiver, there are many levels, some are easy and some are hard. would be nice to have a mouse input but it does not make the game worse.
There are 8 packs of puzzles to do minus the tutorial in varying grid sizes and objects make it a challenge, like non-movable mirrors and non-rotatable ones.
I do recommend this as for cheap it is very good, and also full price too it is worth it, may not have super high quality graphics but it doesn't matter.
I could easily describe this easily to any RuneScape gamers; It's MEP2.
It is so insanely frustrating but so much fun
Ive spent to much time on this. Its not bad, but its far from ideal in the developed world.
For the price and replay value, this game is really worth it. The devs are so responsive and polite, and the game will leave you really impressed with the attention to detail and challenging puzzles. The tutorial is really simple and so is the basic idea of the game. The soundtrack is pretty nice, too. I'm not one for puzzle games at all, but I couldn't just quit when I couldnt figure out the solution. The learning curve is perfect- not too steep, not too slow. Enjoy :)
This game doesn't play IT'S BROKEN. I start the game and it minimizes itself, and every time I try to maximize it again it minimizes. I can't fucking play it.
Mourning's Ends Part II: Part II
Short version: 4/5. If you're a puzzle collector, get this. The simple interface and simple concept but challenging puzzles make for a nice, approachable game.
Long version: Lightbender is a good way to spend 10 minutes or 2 hours, solving incredibly mind-bending puzzles. Such a simple concept, just mirror, reverse, break or combine light; and yet it is very challenging. Sometimes you'll solve the puzzles by accident when you're trying out something new, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It'll teach you to think. There are also user-created maps, as well as a whole plethora of maps on the developers' part, so you won't be speedrunning this game.
The critical things that I would have to say would be that the music could be a bit better-ish. It's not bad but it can start to irritate you after repeating over a same puzzle for a long time. Fortunately, as always, you can turn it off in the options if you don't like it. Other than that, I can't really think of many bad things to say. If the game continues to be what it has been so far, it should be a nice, small little puzzle-game. To be honest, it might not be one of the most memorable ones because it doesn't seem to have a plot of any kind, but it's overall very tidy and nice game.
No mouse control. Mouses, mice, meese? have been common control devices for thrity years.
Releasing a game that does not respond to a common contol device suggests a lack of knowledge and skill by devs.
Conceptually clever but poor implementation.
Unless you are still running a command line system avoid this product.
The puzzles themselves are enjoyable. Mouse UI for moving objects would've been nice, but keys/controller is sufficient. Some minor annoyances like hitting "next" on the last puzzle in a group restarting the same puzzle. All-in-all good as long as you're alright with a few menu quirks.
Solid puzzle game mechanics.
A large amount of puzzles to solve, 240 not couting the tutorial or user submitted puzzles.
The ability to create and share your own puzzles.
The Devs for the game are extremely responsive to issues and game play suggestions.
If you are looking to be an active part of a games developement, you aren't going to beat it for $3 bucks.
It's a good puzzle game for when you have nothing else to play. Music is pretty good as well.
Has some cool mechanics, although needs improvement technically (mouse support, rotate while item is selected) but other than that, it has potential. Look forward to seeing updates to this game to make it a better purchase and easier to recommend.
Edit: Great and fast response and patching from the devs, only thing missing now is mouse controls. Would definitely recommend! Worth the price! :D
Old Review at launch:
1. Mousecursor is locked inside the window sometimes. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
2. Not sure if it's only me, but there's no mouse control. Moving your mouse does around the menus does absolutely nothing, but for some reason left mouse buttons works as a confirm button. Really infuriating, especially because of point 1.
3. No audio controls at all. Have to go into the windows audio mixer to mute or lower the volume of the game.
This is my first impression after 5 minutes of playing. As someone who regularly work with unreal engine, I know that mouse controls are not difficult to implement. Get on it.
I am a sucker for mirrors and lazer though, and the game itself seems to have a decent amount of levels in it, even user levels. It's mostly those three points that are bringing it down for me. I would give this a thumbs up review if it weren't for those small issues.
I guess it's OK if you don't really have anything better to do.
Like me right now.
