Not the original but still a classic
This is not the same version of the original game. It has been altered to be more grindy, and the randomness in the daily events has been removed. Moving your nest feels pointless. Allocating ants to nurses or workers for the increased gains was significantly nerfed, it feels like there's no point in putting more than 5% ant on them. Putting anything on warrior ants causes whatever you end up battling to have scaled stats against your stats, and does not seem to increase your stats nor increase the rewards, so whats the point there? The game doesn't save until you close it, so if it crashes (which it does) you will lose that progress. They also made a mobile version of this, where they sell gems as micro-transactions. I don't know this one for sure because I decided not to waste any more of my time but I've read that in both the steam version and mobile version if and when you hit the goal of 5 million ants, the game deletes your save and you cant continue it... Just go find the real version of this game if you want to play it for the childhood nostalgia, its worth it.
It is an okay game to pass time but it is still not worth getting unless it is on sale, and only if you really enjoy these types of games. I used to play this game a lot when I was a kid, but my taste in games has changed over the years. It doesn't even has Steam Achievements.

What an absolutely shit game. I bought this years ago and despite my best efforts, I could never enjoy it. The game mechanics are horrible and it's just a gigantic waste of time. This is the game that made me discover the "hide this game' feature on Steam. Playing this game is like a less fun version of waiting to die.
