Bulb Boy is an intuitive 2D point & click horror adventure about a boy with a glowing head (alright, it's a bulb...) inspired by Machinarium and Gobliiins. Man what a "shi-tty" game... love it XD
Cute, gritty, and imaginative.
an interesting point and click adventure with a cool (and gross aesthetic). unfortunately, it comes with game breaking bugs. an item necessary to progress disappeared from my inventory and i couldn't progress. I checked the forums, devs response is to delete save and try again. So i do, only for the same bug to occur earlier in the game with a different item.
i know the game is short, probably 3 hours maximum. kind of the main reason i wanted to play this. but how many times am i going to have to delete and restart just to get through this? the game is nine years old, so i'm not expecting this to get patched and as such i have hard time recommending it. sorry.

Can't recommend. This was too difficult for beginner player like myself who plays indie games.. I've almost played all of Super meat boy if that gives any perspective. Idk, if it was a bug or something but I couldn't move from a certain part of this game.
This was surprisingly a fun game has goods visuals, fun gameplay and very unique enemies.

Bulb Boy is a cute and short point n' click adventure. The art style is fun and it has a very warm story that can be interpreted in multiple ways. The horror aspect is very light and the difficulty is very easy but it fits the game really well. I loved it!
This is a truly gross, truly unsettling game -- there are no words, no voices, only sounds, so it's reminiscent of "Dropsy" but by way of "Ren & Stimpy" and "South Park." It works as horror, but it's so crude, no nauseating in some respects that I had to force myself through it and make sure my kids didn't see me playing it. As a point-and-click adventure game, it definitely works; but the contrast between the seeming cuteness of the game's opening and the sheer vomitous grossness of the following 80% will not appeal to all audiences. It didn't appeal to me, but I can give it a tentative recommend because it might appeal to you.
Amazing art, fun puzzles, a bit on the gross side of the horror/halloween spirit but in a good way and just a fun ride in general.
The only downsides to this game i'd say is a few puzzles just seem like time wasters where you're waiting to repeat a same action but they don't take up the majority of the game thankfully.
After beating it, what I wanted most was what to see what this creator does next. I felt like I wanted more and hoped they'd continue to not only make more games but ones a bit longer and with puzzles a little less time-wasty.
Markiplier was right when he said this is one of the cutest horror games he's played. I find it adorable myself! The premise is very simple. You play as a young boy who goes after his grandpa after he's kidnapped by an unseen dark force and it's up to you to put a stop to it! It's good for a point and click puzzle game so it's worth playing!
Such a twisted, peculiar little game that has sounds and imagery that will stick with you long after you're done with the game. There's just some highly inspiring art being displayed here and the dark, almost unhinged 90s cartoons aesthetic is truly like something out of Cartoon Network's "What a Cartoon Show".
On a side note, Bulb Boy very much reminds me of another oddity from the late 90s which I really was fond of called "Nightmare Ned". That interactive kids title was also like a 90s cartoon with childish aesthetics but also very dark undertones and was a very fascinating experience for its time.
All in all, if you are into a more simplistic and short point and click game with a very amusing presentation that you will probably remember for a while then I very much recommend Bulb Boy. This could be a very cool game to play with your kid.
