Slave Trade: Travel back in time to the 18th century and witness the horrors of the trans-Atlantic slave trade firsthand. In this episode, you will be working as young slave steward on a ship crossing the Atlantic. You are to serve the captain and be his eyes and ears – reporting any suspicious activities is your duty. But what do you do, when you realize that your own sister has been captured by the slave traders?
Target audience: 11-14 years old.
UPDATE: [/b The game and trailer has been updated. Slave Tetris has been removed as it was perceived to be extremely insensitive by some people. This overshadowed the educational goal of the game. Apologies to people who was offended by us using game mechanics to underline the point of how inhumane slavery was. The goal was to enlighten and educate people - not to get sidetracked discussing a small 15 secs part of the game.

Playing History 2 - Slave Trade, is an educational adventure game all about the slave trade. The game aims to teach you about historical events in history, this time, with a focus on the horrors of the African slave trade that occurred in the 18th century.
Play as Putij (or Tim as the white people call him), a young boy that is one of the white people's special slave. Journey across the ocean as the white people want to trade for slaves in Africa. Along the way, you meet Piri, your sister who is being traded away by her tribe. Can you devise a plan to escape and set all the slaves free?
Solve puzzles, play minigames, negotiate and much more in this fun and educational little game!
There are quite a few bugs, such as the fact that I could not hear any of the voice acting for some reason. This, of course, can be excused though, most of the gameplay works out just fine, it pretty much mimics the first game in that regard, which is understandable, this game is generally for the younger audience.
Now, many people may find this game offensive or disrespectful but I'm here to tell you, that isn't what the game is trying to do. It is a tool for educational purposes, an attempt to gamify learning. The developers even removed the "Slave Tetris" that many people were complaining about. That goes to show that they do truly have good intentions.
Overall, another fun play. I like what these games are doing, trying to make learning fun and I can only recommend it, even for people not in the target age group, there are some pretty useful facts and other elements which make it a worthwhile experience, and it's pretty cheap too! It isn't perfect and has a few bugs but hey, it's a good 30 minutes to an hour worth of enjoyment!
Educational point and click game about the triangular Atlantic slave trade: the treatment of slaves. Target group seems to be elementary school children. Crappy game but easy to 100 %. The substandard and respectless content + poorly optimized gameplay = not recommended.
I threw people in the ocean
I threw innocent "people" overboard without hesitation.
The sharks denied my sacrifice.
10/10 I'll clucking do it again.
Very lovely game. Had to dump 25 black slaves overboard
10/10 if you ask me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My sister had been captured by the Portuguese slavers so I traded myself in her place and ended up as an "involuntary crewmate" doomed to sail the Atlantic...
Not sure what went wrong honestly.
So far so good, it's a slave game with black & white people! ^_^
