Описание

Michiru's quest to save the world by sealing the Chaos that threatens it is progressing flawlessly... except for the fact that her fellow Magical Girl and rival, Kazuki, is beating her at every turn! She wants to prove her worth as a Magical Girl, and win the Magic wish that can make her dreams come true, but so far, all she's proven is that she's a failure.

Then, just as it seems that Michiru may have actually done something right for once, and earned Kazuki's respect in the process, a flash of light and an ominous rumbling noise interrupt her rejoicing. Michiru is dumbfounded, while Kazuki merely remarks: "I never thought it would come so soon..." Just what could be heading their way?

This visual novel, a spinoff of the popular "Fruit of Grisaia" series, follows Michiru's adventures in an anime-like format of 13 episodes. It is split into two Parts: Part 2 continues where Part 1 leaves off, and contains the last 6 episodes.

It's the finale! If you've read part one, you already know what you're getting into! If you haven't, well, you really should before getting this.

"Mama, can we have Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon?"

"We have Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon at home!!"

And this, sadly, is Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon at home. 😑

Unfortunately whatever thoughts and opinions I have on this awful game, the worst excuse for a magical girl anime story, not only go above the character limit for reviews, but would be the length of a short book. My full thoughts can be found on the Crappy Games Wikia article of the game I made myself, archived as the wikia is no longer available. This does contain spoilers, but is a rotten, worm infested apple edible?!

If you're curious to see it, then just watch it on Youtube for free instead of blowing $14.99+ on it like I did, the fact that it's normally selling for $19.99 on something that looks like it was made for free by a bunch of immature 13 year olds learning how to use Microsoft Powerpoint and Audacity is almost criminal and literal highway robbery. Not to mention I expected something new and somewhat unique/standing out to be brought to the magical girl genre, even as a fun little parody, but it was like a bunch of otaku just flipping me off and going "HA!! Don't be butthurt, it's just a prank, bro!"

This game all on its own washed away that Western Yuri filth from my mind. Good god it makes the Sakura series look like prison food covered in vomit. Blessed is a game unpolluted by American social autism.

I've never played a game where the protagonist and characters are all crackheads, but this was great. Who feeds a homeless man a brick and says the power of love will make it edible? That's like sponging your car with a brick because it is similar to a clay bar.
The brick was well received, though.

I could play this again. Honestly fantastic.

Funny VN, on the verge of idiocy. Despite it, VN even have drama. If you were not annoyed by Michiru in the original trilogy, then I recommend reading it.

Веселое, на грани с идиотизмом произведение. Несмотря на это даже нашлось место драме. Если вас не раздражала Мичиру в оригинальной трилогии, то рекомендую прочитать.

Michiru was hands down the best character from the Grisaia games so its only fitting she got her own game. Seiyuu Kaori Mizuhashi is amazing in the role, so funny.

The game starts from were part 1 ended and a shocking true is revealed that leave Yuuji scared, Michiru speechless and Kazuki anxious.
This game is more of a serious note than the previous. Still having really good moments of fun like the 1st and more touchy and sentimental scenes, like Michiru finally managing to confess her love to her dear Kazuki

More CG, but shorter than part 1. It's more serious and less easy-going than part 1, too.
Still overpriced...
Why does it has to be split into 2 parts, anyway?

This is the second and final chapter of the Magical Girl CCM saga... and it is just as much of a funny blast as the first volume. It also has an undercurrent of heart that is wonderful.

I shall recommend this, but would suggest waiting until it is on-sale, and that you acquire the first volume at the same time. It might be a bit confusing otherwise.

A whacky spin-off story where Michiru and Kazuki are magical girls and must save the world.... Part 2!

With the story now complete, I guess I will say that this is typical of the Grisaia spin-offs that I have seen so far. Namely that this is a mostly silly storyline that is a nice little treat for people who liked the main games. Also that basically if you simply want to spend more time with the same characters, then this pretty much lets you do that. I can't say that these games are as good as the main games of the Grisaia series, but it is still fun in its own way.

With that said, this story is not all that long, so getting this during a sale is probably best.

Hooray.

(And yes, I still think that stuff involving Yumiko and ice cream is just... weird.)

I thought I would do a little review covering both parts.

I definitely recommend this, especially for fans of The Fruit of Grisaia. It has all the characters from the VN's, the artwork is beautiful and it is hilarious.
I'm glad Michiru got her own story. I like her a lot more now.

tl;dr: 8/10 - Game is great but ridiculously overpriced (more than 2x as much as the original) and the Sekai Project translation is horrible. Don't buy it.

Full Review (Part 2 of 2 - Part 1 here):

The dialogue was also full of typos and mistakes, many of which I've screenshotted and uploaded to Steam mainly out of OCD. You can have a look, but they're not the kind of funny typos you can laugh at, they're just wrong. Actually, this one was kind of funny, but charging $40 for a translation that is barely passable and clearly hasn't even been proofread is a little steep, don't you think?

This brings me to my next two points. Firstly, screenshots.

Sekai Project knew from the get-go that this was going to be a Steam release. The game was obviously reverse-engineered to translate the dialogue, and they even went through the trouble of adding their splash to the welcome screen and their name in the credits - there was even a typo in the credits, by the way - yet no effort was made to change the game shortcuts so that they don't overlap with the default Steam shortcuts. The screenshot key is the same as the minimize button, which would normally only amount a mild annoyance, but the problems don't end there. After taking a screenshot and maximizing your game again (only at this point will the screenshot be taken), every successive keypress of any key will take another screenshot. Even the media keys and every notch of my K70's volume wheel. Also, the Steam overlay is laggy, unresponsive, bugged and overall, simply unusable. I haven't heard complaints about this elsewhere, so I'm not counting out the fact that it may just be me, but it's true of both games. Again, at a $40 price point, I was really hoping for a functional game.

The other thing I wanted to elaborate on was the price tag, which I really haven't mentioned enough.

This download copy of the game costs $40 in total, and you're paying for a bugged and badly translated visual novel, and a couple of dollars worth of trading cards, if you really want to go there. On the other hand, I've seen physical copies of the game on sale in stores for as little as ¥1700 - $14. This is, of course, likely to be above the actual production cost and Frontwing's profit margin because the retailer needs some pocket money too. When presented with this information, you really have to ask yourself if you're happy to pay what could easily be three times the original price, of which only a fraction would go to the actual producer, for this abomination of a translation? I really want to know Sekai Project's justification for marketing this title at such a ridiculous price, and why they think they're entitled to so much.

Of course, if you don't speak Japanese and would like to play the game, this is probably your only option, unfortunately. However, there is a silver lining. Koestl, the man behind the impeccable once-fan-translation of The Fruit of Grisaia for TLWiki (now officially licensed to Sekai Project), has admitted that "there are issues" and said "the hope is that [he] will be able to go back and fix it up for them later", quoting his words directly. In my mind, he's honestly Sekai Project's saving grace, and the only reason I hesitate to dump their releases altogether and read the novels in glorious nihongo. That being said, he's currently working on translating the other two installments of the Grisaia trilogy, and I doubt TLCing this game is very high up on his list of priorities.

If he ever gets around to it, I'd gladly recommend this game to anyone who's looking for another great VN starring the Grisaia cast we all know and love. As it stands, however, I urge you to hold off for now. Sekai Project has shown with their World End Economica release that they are willing to receive feedback and actually take action - something which cannot be said about most publishers nowadays. The original release was of poor quality, which I discussed in-depth in its own review, but the game has allegedly been TLCed and edited, though I've yet to confirm. Hopefully something similar will happen with Idol Magical Girl Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru. Until then, though, I really don't recommend purchasing this title.

Idol Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru part 2 the continuation of Idol Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru part 1 a spinoff of "Fruit of Grisaia" containing 13 episodes developed by Front Wing, picking things off with episode 8 in part 2.

Starts off on episode 8

It starts with the protagonist Michuru and the kazami silblings together in a hospital room which has a gloomy astmosphere, hinting somthing bad is going to happen but it turns out to be just rain.
Which i personally find it funny because and really loved its unique approach with humour.

Looking at the comedy value

I really like the way they managed to set a serious atmosphere around the characthers and just when the reader gets serious or worried for them the reader gets crushed because it is a joke, and this is a very unique style ofhumour that not many visual novels out there can pull off.

Audio and visual elements

Whatever you have experienced in Idol Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru ☆ Michiru Part 1 you will experience the same elements of Part 1 with the charming sense of playfulness in the art style and jokes used. Resulting in an enjoyable read from start to finish.
Not to mention that the UI (user interface) is really colourfull and very pleasing to look at awhile ago while doing some settings i found myself staring at the UI for 10 minute just admiring it.

To sum up

People who are planning to get this i highly suggest you to get part 1 and complete it first because this visual novel is a kinetic novel, which means it follows a storyline "flowpath" something like a book with chapters where you have to start from the front and end at the back.

Though there are somethings that didn't go smooth in both scenarios and translations, I think the core story itself is a very fulfilling one for original Grisaia fans. Elements such as events, dialogues and expressions had marvelously emphasized the character without spoiling the original game. Cuteness enhanced to the MAX. ;w;

If you played The Fruit of Grisaia, then bought the Michiru spin-off, don't expect to bawl your eyes out like many others have. This is a much more light hearted game. If you liked the long common route or part 1 of the spin off (assuming you are reading this because you are wondering to buy part 2 after finishing part 1), then you will enjoy this for it's little skits and not so serious story.

Even though this is a spin-off, some of the characters from the sequal of the main series show up, but knowing who they are is what all really matters, so it's not a terribly huge spoiler alert. Watching all of the anime adaptations should be more than enough.

Like The Fruit of Grisaia, you have the choice of either choosing to go windowed mode, which you can't customize, or full screen. I would rather have the windowed mode to be the same size as in Grisaia and not the overly huge screen that has little difference form full screen.

Pressing F12 (default minimize and screenshot button) and then another regular key still makes your game take a screenshot until you restart the game.
