Yes, I would like to recommend 3D MiniGolf to everyone.
I've played for 15 minutes, and I've seen enough. I can respectfully can say this game sucks harder than a prostitute in a vacuum factory.
Overview:
'3D MiniGolf' is a very simple golf game unlike many minigolf video games you'll find. Unlike other popular golf games, the levels in '3D MiniGolf' are extremely straightforward, quick and easy to complete. There's little to no uniqueness to the game as most of everything it tries to do different has already been done before. There isn't much variety in terms of atmosphere or level design because almost everything is essentially recycled from previous levels.
There are only 3 different environments and each contain the typical 18 hole line-up that most minigolf courses have. With 18 holes per course, you'd think there'd be more than enough gameplay to keep the player engaged but as mentioned, the levels are extremely quick and easy to complete. There's so little imagination when it comes to each hole that it just leaves the player wondering how long it'll take for them to finish the game rather than enjoy the game for what it is. The game isn't just easy, it's really easy! Like "in 2 strokes" easy! that is a serious let down compared to what even real life minigolf courses are capable of achieving. If a video game (something with no limits) gives you less than its real life counterpart (something with many limits) then you know there's something wrong.
Gameplay:
As I already mentioned, the holes are underwhelming, short and not intuitive to say the least. Even though there seems to be many holes in the game (54 to be exact), you literally breeze through them because of how short all of them are. To begin with, you have holes that although try to be "hard" fail to accomplish that simply because the developers built the holes in a way where you can easily achieve a hole-in-one. I'm all for beating a hole in one stroke but when you're essentially hand given the amazing feat every single time, it kind of makes the joy of achieving such an act boring. Despite that, this was an intentional move from the developers because in order to achieve the best possible medal, you have to achieve a hole-in-one for every hole in the game. Sounds hard? Trust me, it isn't.
The game also has a tournament where you can go up against AI as well as a local co-op mode where you can play with friends albeit on the same computer. The mode is essentially solo play but with a scoreboard at the end of each hole depicting how many strokes everyone has. It barely feels like you're playing against anyone and only one ball is present on the course at all times. '3D MiniGolf' essentially facades itself as minigolf but plays like actual golf. I mean sure only one person plays at a time but all the golf balls are there in an actual minigolf game, why aren't they here?
Imagine if in 'Golf With Friends', only one player is able to play and no one can see each other's ball. It isn't as fun. I'm confused. I'm not particularly sure why you would even want to bother with these modes because the game has as much replayability as a light switch. To categorize this game as "minigolf" is an insult to every minigolf game in existence because it's barely even minigolf. The description on the store page claims that the holes in the game are challenging but truthfully, they're almost laughably easy.
They actually released a candy themed DLC that caters far better to the style of minigolf than the main game, surprisingly so. The levels are longer, unique, more complex and actually implement the environment into the levels. This is exactly what I was looking for when playing this game. It's a shame that it had to be DLC but if they already knew how to do it, why didn't they do it for the main game?
Controls:
Extremely basic and easy to pick up and learn but the physics don't help its case much. For the most part you can really play using just the mouse which is okay. Considering how simple this game is, I also expected the controls to be just as simple which they at least are. They function properly enough and I only recall running into glitchy issues once or twice.
Graphics:
Decent enough for a minigolf game but nothing exactly amazing. As I already said, there's nothing visually unique about any of the levels or worlds. You have a regular park as average as a tree in a forest, a campsite that literally looks the same as the park and a beach that's probably the most different looking environment compared to the other two. The worst part is that none of the holes are created in the same fashion. They all follow the same format with light oak walls filled in with green turf. The developers had the chance to create unique levels that pertain to the environments giving players a different experience like the DLC they put out but instead recycled the same tired style from start to finish. It's a shame because I feel if the levels actually had some form of depth in them, the game would've been a lot more fun.
Even with levels that have obstacles, most of them are just wooden panels, water or plastic structures with one static color. They had environments they didn't even bother to mix in with the levels so we're left staring at the same terrain for pretty much the entire game. The only time you really get to "appreciate" the environment (and I put that in quotes because there really isn't much to take in) is during a stroke where you literally have to separate yourself from the game and look up. There's just no visual creativity anywhere in the game and it shows.
Audio:
Definitely could be improved. Sound effects are below par (no pun intended) and music is basically non-existent. You get the usual ambience of branches swaying and birds chirping but it all ends up becoming white noise. The whole reason for music in minigolf is to make the whole experience fun and exciting. There's literally nothing like that here and it made me wonder if the developers were stuck between deciding if they wanted to make a golf game or a minigolf game and tried practices from both game types and what we got was this. Astonishing.
Multiplayer:
As mentioned, you're only able to play with other people on the same computer. That's the closest to multiplayer you're going to get. So adopting the good old early 2000's of playing a game with a friend on a single computer but essentially just taking turns. To be frank, I don't think anyone ever took advantage of the "multiplayer" function in this game.
Conclusion/TL;DR:
'3D MiniGolf' is supposedly a minigolf game but doesn't offer all the fun minigolf games have. The levels are short, uninspired, bland and offer nothing new to the player that they haven't already seen before. The features listed in the store page are extremely weak to the point that it's pointless to even mention them. Their candy themed DLC reflects the fun characteristics of minigolf a lot more and is far more fun to play than the entire base game which speaks volumes.
If you're thinking about picking this up, just play the DLC. But even then would a single 18 hole course be worth the $5.69CAD?

You get a Minigolf game yes, but the controls are pretty stiff and slow. Also the aiming is very HARD. The courses are uninspiring and I counted only THREE of them(unless I missed something).
Nope, there are better (Mini)golf games out there.

- Focked-up white borders within holes that your ball MUST LAND INSIDE OF, otherwise you MUST START THE HOLE OVER.
- Abnormal scoring (par+1, par+2, etc.), mainly due to how EVERY HOLE HAS A PAR OF 1! SERIOUSLY?! FREAKIN' HOLE-IN-ONE ON EVERY GOD-DAMNED HOLE?! WHO MADE THIS SH!T, FOCKED-UP ROBOTS?!
- Hold RMB and move mouse to move the camera. Just an annoyance for me, but could be frustrating for some.

-100/+100: Heed the warnings, black-list the developer and publisher, and move on.
Note before playing: Go into options and turn Slow-Mo off. It kicks in anytime the ball is within a few inches of the hole, which happens a ton due to bounces, and turning this off dramatically improves the quality of gameplay.
- Only buy this on sale. It's not perfect but overall it's a pleasant minigolf simulator.
- The hole physics seem slightly off at first in that they're extremely forgiving early on when it comes to tolerating high ball speeds but once you get used to them it doesn't feel bad.
- Local multiplayer with this is a blast. Obstacle physics seem spot on however.
- The courses are a pretty realistic depiction of what you can expect to find at any normal local miniputt.
- The greens are all covered in symmetrical geometric patterns, which makes aiming off the first putt very easy. To further increase the challenge, you can change your aim pointer from an arrow to a general area or remove this helper altogether. The AI is well balanced.
- The UI could be more streamlined but it gets the job done. Appropriately minimalist during tournament play but a tad clunky in challenge mode.
- The audio is simple but pleasant with a relaxing atmospheric song playing for each of the three courses.
Overall this is a nice game to play for a bit here and there in between other games.
Overall it needed just a bit more polish before release. Maybe it can still happen?
Pros:
- The graphics are pretty good.
- The layouts of most holes are reasonable. I've seen mini golf games that have holes that ramble on and on, this game generally does not suffer from that.
Cons:
- Alt-Tabbing out of the application causes it to freeze and makes it unable to be switched back to. It then has to be killed through Task Manager. This is the most annoying flaw with the game and pretty much makes it unplayable as a casual game where I am switching back and forth between playing and doing something else.
- Par for each hole seems rather arbitrary. A hole of a particular difficulty may be presented as a par 1, but a later hole of similar difficulty will be par 3. I wasn't even sure why the par existed until I reached the second course, because the first course had all of its holes at par 1 (which made it the most difficult course to attain 100% gold medals).
- The game was way too easy/short. I gold medaled all 54 holes in under 2.5 hours. That's an average of less than 3 minutes to master each hole.
- The physics are occasionally glitchy, especially around hills. When a ball moves from a slope to flat ground or vice versa, the ball tends to skip unnaturally along the ground, killing momentum and spamming the ball collision sound effect. Also, sometimes a ball can take several minutes to come to rest (this was most noticeable on course 3, hole 5, right at the tunnel exit where 2 downhill slopes seem to meet).
- Each course only has a 5-second loop of music, occasionally fading to... the same 5-second loop of music. This gets very annoying after a few minutes.
Overall the flaws tend to cancel out the good things about this game. If I could give it a neutral rating, I would, but since there are better mini-golf games out there, I'll say meh to this one. If the flaws could be fixed, this would be among those better mini-golf games.
Ok, I didnt played the game... Because I just realize that It wont support a controller, gamepad, xbox controller, etc. Thats is sad. I was really hopping to have a nice time with my kids on the couch, not in front of my PC with mouse and keyboard. Its a 2015 game that has terrible menu interface, not friendly at all. Saw in the forums that developers are not sharing any news... =\

There is a big problem with this game : BUGS ! When you play a tournament, sometimes, the ball go through the hole, disapears or reappears farther and it's considered a miss. Worse, sometimes, the bug continues and you have to restart the whole tournament !
The physics seem very obviously off. If you've played pool or actual mini golf, you have some idea about the direction a ball should bounce when it hits a wall from a certain angle, but in this game that relation often seems completely random. There are times the ball will hit a wall at an angle and then bounce directly back in the direction it came from, which shouldn't happen. Makes it unplayable unless you want to sit and randomly try different angles against walls until you get lucky. Waste of 10 bucks. I'm a little annoyed.
I'll just re-iterate what you've read in other reviews. Buggy. Uninspiring holes. Poor physics. Slow. Poorly designed interface. I took a flyer during a Steam sale, still didn't get my money's worth.
Devs fixed a critical flaw in that a hole could not be won with a hole-in-one... that's good
Overall, not quite polished, some bad grammar (I assume as they are German), but can be fun once you get over its flaws. Definitely had potential to be a lot more, but worth it if gotten cheap.
dunno why so many negative reviews this game is really fun and im enjoying it i prefer to support indie developers than well known ones in games as it helps them to improve.
the graphics are pretty good for this game and i like the controls real simple and i find it more fun than that 3d ultra mini golf which isnt even a realistic mini golf game anyways where as this game is.

With only 3 courses available you will probably get bored very quickly. limited replayability. A level editor would be a real boost and the ability to share these maps as well as online multiplay.
Very bugged game. No window mode. Cant switch in and out of game without it locking up. Actually had to decrease grafx setting to get the game to even work...seriously wth. All that being said I think it would actually be a good game/distraction if these bugs where fixed. Requires a lot of graphic optimisation.
Until then im not going to recomend this game. If this had a star rating instead of a recomend yes/no i would give it 2/5 and if the above faults where fixed i'd give it 4/5
Having said the above, it is selling at -80% off at the time of writing this so buy it im sure the bugs will be ironed out.
Edit: Actually managed to play a whole game without issues.
so i had to buy a "mini" game to kill some time.. and minigolf is fun no matter what.
i guess this game will need some updates.. basic txt in info boxes are missing and the moste funny thing happend when i was playing.. :P so i made the ball allmoste go down in the hole.. but i guess it was 50/50 in the hole :P so the game dident whant me to shoot again and the ball was just standing there tweerking i think :P
anyways so far so good.. its cheap enough now on the summer sale and it is a time killer so buy it if you like minigolf and have fun

Firstly, let me remind you about the lack of online multi player - which they have since edited the store page to indicate this, AFTER I brought it, partly because of that point.
Visual "next" prompts get annoying too, especially when I'm trying to lower my score to match PAR, even on single player (one to begin the match, another to indicate I'm to play).
Graphics are good, but I wouldn't say overwhelming; on a few occasions the graphics glitched out for me and the camera was placed under the map for some reason.
5/10, over par with a bad handicap. Much prefer 3d ultra mini golf, even though it's probably over a decade old.
ORIGINAL POST: This game does not have online multiplayer!
This is a 1-4 player game under one purchase. I bought two copies of this game, one for myself and one for a friend and unfortunately it doesn't have online capabilities :(
EDIT: As far as the game mechanics go, they are a little flimsy and the "handicap" white lines on the first 18 holes are a bit intrusive. As others have stated, Hole 11 has a spot where the camera is obstructed, which results in having to take a blind shot at an attempt to move your ball.
The reason I recommend this game is due to the fact that it works well for their intended audience. Their tagline states "Mini Golf for the whole family", incinuating that the game is local only (which was originally stated as Co-op) and it works well in a family environment. Their target audience can be hit dead on with this game, however it wasn't originally marketed that way.
Overall, I enjoyed playing the game solo but none of it was entirely challenging. If you like Steam Achievements and don't mind dropping a couple bucks, then go ahead and buy this game. But if you're a serious gamer and enjoyed the unrelated 3D Ultra Mini Golf game, then I don't recommend this game for you.

A bit of bugs, but very good for a start... Not 50 courses, three... 54 holes I think... Graphics are good. Ball seems to be hovering in the air most of the time visually. Hole 17 on first course I had to reset 6 times because the ball gets stuck in an endless loop... Looking forward to bug fixes and expansions... Recommended...
