Sheltered is a post-apocalyptic disaster management game that gives a whole new meaning to the term “nuclear family”. Given a head-start over the billions lost in a nuclear holocaust, you must gather as many supplies as possible en route to the concrete underground shelter that will soon become your family home for the foreseeable dreary future.
With all hope lost, how will you cope in this bleak new world? How you handle the many moral choices you'll encounter on a daily basis could be the difference between your family surviving or dying. Combat claustrophobia, radiation and mental exhaustion as you cling desperately to life in the cramp, cold and scary underground shelter. You’ll have to leave the scant protection the shelter offers behind as you’re forced to venture outside into the dangerous desolate wasteland to scavenge for vital supplies which could ensure your families survival for just one more day.

Nice game to play on your laptop when your on the go!
Steam workshop would be nice but the Devs flopped hard with the sequel.
Fun game but games stale after you survive over 100 days
This game is hard. It's a survival game where you have to survive after a nuclear apocalypse.
Biggest tip I can give you.... BEFORE you play survivor mode, you must complete the "surrounded" scenario. This will give you the Defibrillator which you need to revive unconscious members of your family. Nowhere does it tell you to do this and you'll land up losing your game without it eventually.
Food, water and materials are all vitally important. Drinking, showering, going to the toilet, watering your plants, they all use water and without it you'll have very unhappy, dirty people in your shelter.
ALWAYS shower first after coming back from an expedition. If you eat before showering, you'll get food poisoning.
Look at your traits for each member carefully. Sometimes it's good to have well-rounded characters, other times you need a mix of characters that you can focus on specific tasks. And don't forget that with good traits, come bad traits. I'm not 100% how it chooses which bad ones to allocate.
Other than that, it's a tough game, but rewarding. I'm on the second scenario which is totally different from survivor and the first scenario and I lost the game 2 days before the end. But have started again.
I'm enjoying it, hating it, shouting at it and loving it again, over and over.
Save game files corrupt and you loose all you progress after exceeding the refund period. Another SCAM by Steam.
Hard game to master with little payoff.
Play Fallout Shelter instead.
Or even Dustland Delivery.

Alto juego, lastima que la 2da entrega no fuera tan buena como esta, aunque eso si la historia no entendi una goma o no si ni siquiera si tiene historia, la campaña que tengo en ningun momento le vi algun objetivo final. Alguien sabe si este juego tiene final o algo? vi en en algun que otro video que habia militares pero ni idea. Eso si solo les aviso que cuando les dicen que no a alguien que quiera unirse a su refugio van a tener la mayoria la costumbre de estropear los filtros de agua y aire.
-si tienen al perro mantenganlo en excursiones por que te caga todo el refugio y come un monton.-
Nice game, sadly the Sheltered 2 wasn´t as good as the first. Idk if this game has a end game, Spend a lot of hours and there´s no main quest. That´s the only big complaint i have to the game.
Is any end to this game? i see in some video that they encounter milirary groups but no more than that. i almost forgot, when you said no to a person that ask you to join your shelter see the status of the air filter and the water filter because sometimes (most of them) tend to screw them up.
-If you have the dog keep it in expeditions because he poop a lot and eat a lot too hahah-

its fun a bit to hard and too easy in the wrong places in the nomal game on hardcore you never get raiders which if your smart you can deal with but it never rains which you can't control so you die for not being abel to hack the game

Really enjoyed this game. Simple in some ways, complicated in others and overall a decent challenge. Does get a bit repetitive after a while though, and once you have a certain setup and you know how the game ticks, you can pretty much never fail.
A little bit of a learning 'hump' at the start, but after that you can keep playing and has decent replay value. Scenario maps add a nice change of pace and challenge to spice things up.
Overall, very much recommended. Feel free to leave comments if you want to know specifics if you are deciding whether to buy or not.

It is a little basic and definitely a old game but it is still a fun game to try out if you like base builders and post apocalyptic games
Simple, yet still one of my favorite games of all time. It is worth playing at least once to pass the time.

No the gameplay is very slow
it's a mix of 60 seconds and This War of Mine.
Meaning, that's right, you die.

Ive had this game for a while and play it on and off but its such a fun game i really recomend it
my mc who had the best gear suddenly disappeared mid expedition, this was on a 7.9 hr playthrough
A bit hard to start at first but really nice and adictive. The kind of game you can play for hours straight.
Good survival game to play at least once. Wouldn't recommend at full price though.
Good game
this game can feel challenging and rewarding at times, I enjoy it whenever i never know what i feel like playing.
If you've never played shelter before you play as a family, you have to survive as a family and get them to go scavenge for equipment which can help your family in tremendous ways
Along your scavenging you may encounter plenty of animals or hostile people, I recommend always trying to run away if you have no weapon, you want to keep your family alive
Be careful about how you use your equipment, I always recommend upgrading your workbench first before anything then going out exploring and trying to make some more water butts, water is crucial in this game especially in harder difficulties.
Food is pretty easy just have a lot of traps about the surface and try to make a furnace and recycle ASAP
they help me beyond relief.
Anyway those are some of my tips on how i survive, i'm sure if your new or haven't played before then you will learn in your own way, try your best not to get frustrated! You will get there

lots of micromanagement
I've tried to play this game a couple times now and each time it ends the same. The progression is slow and I get bored with it. After playing for to many hours, I didn't get past much more than making 2 extra rooms. Never sure I even fought anyone... unless something happened after I dosed off.
I guess if i was to give advice towards the game play.... After a 2 hour session, help me feel like i got somewhere.
Overall, not a game for me i suppose.
james got my child killed because i told them to handle a social encounter and they decided that meant fighting with no weapons. 8/10
So there's only one facet of this game that is causing me to leave a bad review.
Members of your party can die instantly, without giving you a notification so you can start the day over.
They're just dead, permanently, out on expeditions.
This is a design choice that removes fun from the game, I don't know why it's still included in this game.
Steer clear unless you want to see hours and hours of time spent developing these characters rendered useless.
Careful with who you let in. they can betray you and kill your family!!
