Overland версии 1.2 уже доступна! Путешествуйте среди апокалиптических пейзажей с новыми спутниками-мопсами и новыми уровнями — зонами отдыха. Не пропустите новое введение и пролог! В этой версией мы добавили 3 новые настройки сложности и 7 новых модификаторов игры, среди которых режим со всеми собаками, режим туриста и настройки для экспертов. Просматривайте истории прошлых путешествий и не забудьте заглянуть на обновленные экраны значков и статистики. В Overland v1.2 мы также обновили диалоги, предметы и локации — теперь игра стала еще лучше!
Особенности игры:
- Следи, чтобы в баке всегда был бензин. Держись подальше от странных существ. Будь начеку. Не шуми.
- Громкие звуки навлекут неприятности, с которыми ты не справишься. Собирай побольше бензина, помогай незнакомцам в беде и вовремя возвращайся в машину.
- Двигайся на запад, через луга, горы, пустыни и очень необычные места. Дорожная карта, все уровни и персонажи генерируются случайным образом, поэтому каждое путешествие уникально.
- Используй десятки предметов: аптечки, щиты, топоры, самодельную броню, верхние багажники и даже горшки с цветами.
- Совершенно новый конец света от Finji (Canabalt, Night in the Woods).

I had my eye on that game for a long time and waited until it was on winter sale.
I can highly recommend it. It's exciting and atmospheric. You feel the road trip to the west coast through alien occupied land. The monsters get stronger, the people more hostile and the landscape more surreal.
In my playthrough I had a mate and a clever dog in my party. The dog could bark and intimidate the aliens. They were frozen and I could collect the petrol.
So the "fights" were more like a gas looting simulater with a lot sneaking around.
The dog felt a bit op and the most encounters to easy.
But on the other hand: without the dog, the fights would have been extremely difficult.
You hardly have any weapons (mostly sticks, stones, bottles) and I didn't know what to do with some of the items.
Unfortunately, there is no character development.
The ending is a bit sad.
I like the graphic design.
So all in all, it was a good gaming experience.
Short but great game with a good ambiance.
Nice graphics and vibe, but not very deep.
This is the third time I played this game! A lot of fun! Also the art is just so good!
Worth playing, but only on sale. It's about 6 hours of gameplay and doesn't have a lot of replay value unless you want to challenge yourself. It's primarily a puzzle game; figure out the sequence of moves for your character (and their extremely limited action points and inventory) and restart the level if you mess up. The overland journey is atmospheric but has no real story to speak of.

Hard to recommend. Looked cute in principle, but just isn't very fun to play. Ends up feeling quite repetitive. Not much story. Was pretty hard to care about going on.

Fun, and has an interesting plot with subtle commentary on the present.
This and Rebel Cops were released around the same time and have the same map style. If you like that game, you'll probably like this. I love the way the map works for both of them, but this game has some replayability. Genuinely love this game. Its a fun lil puzzle game that makes you think and do your best to get from one side of the map to the other, multiple times. Whether you're with humans, dogs, all dogs, or whatever else, your goal remains the same. To get to the other side of the states.
I do wish I found this game when it was in its prime, to enjoy it with a community more or something. I'd also love DLC but understand its probably unlikely. The games with this map style really interest me, so it sucks that there aren't that many with it, but this is a nice one to sit down and burn some time.
