"Salutations. Would you like to attend a school for girls?"

This romance visual novel explores the question of gender integration at a private school.
A curious series of events leads to our hero becoming the only boy at a prestigious girls' academy...
But over 99% of the girls are against integration!
The girls are so sheltered, that they actually run away screaming at the sight of him!
Our hero needs to befriend them if he wants to stay, but the situation's looking grim...
The sole girl in favor of reform looks to our hero with hope in her eyes.
Thus, he must fight -- to convince the few neutral parties at the school, his childhood friend... and even those who show him open disgust!

The game spans a full year, divided into 26 "anime-like" chapters.
Colorful movies and SD illustrations bring the classic girls' school events to life!
Athletics festivals, elegant balls, swimsuits, love rivalries... and romance that would make a true lady blush!

I can't read another word. After chapter 2 finished I was fed up.

I don't mind a visual novel that does something different - I started out thinking the premise seemed like a cool idea - some kid down on his luck with no place to go gets 'rescued' into a school exclusively for girls. Apparently the school has a funding problem and is willing to test opening the doors to boys as well, but the test is based on this single kid.

It starts out innocently enough but the sequence of events is just utter lunacy. No one lets people into their room and then lets themselves get kicked out into the hallway wearing only their underwear, so some b1tch3s search for 'hazardous materials' (porn). No one sees someone they know and get smashed in the face by them, then gets sent to the headmaster to be basically told it was their fault for putting their face in the way of a swinging hand.

THE VERY NEXT DAY HE GETS SMASHED IN THE FACE AGAIN BY THE SAME OLD FRIEND.

I have no more words. Maybe this VN is better suited to girls because this isn't entertaining, it's torture. 0/10 I'm deleting this from my library.

I love this visual novel.

Marika is supposed to be beautiful? No. No, she is not. It is the preconceived notion that all blondes are beautiful. Her head is shaped like a light bulb and her hairstyle is ugly. Ritsuko is the best girl.

I have played a Princess Evangile that is not the steam version.

Sliding into first base? Automatic out!

The English writer doesn't know how to use 'scramble' in a sentence. He's always using it and a sentence will make little or no sense when he does.

The writer wrote "hit the lottery", which means to play the lottery, not win it. You say either "win the lottery", "hit the jackpot" or "win the jackpot." The writer had three perfectly good options and chose incorrectly, missing the target completely.

The writer draws his prose from the same tired well that most VN writers draw from. He uses "blown away", "going/moving forward", "reach out" and a bunch of other overused nonsense phrases that have been making the rounds.

I only recently finished this VN after having it sit in my library for years. This is not because I disliked it and had to get over it or anything, it just kinda so happened I never bothered.
First things first, the common route of this game is fairly long. You only really start making decisions starting at chapter 13 or something and you basically need to choose the same girl everytime to get into their respective routes.
The VN features 4 heroines, no hidden/side-routes you unlock by clearing someones route like some other games. If you are interested in how romance would go with the other very present side-characters would go: those are all in the fandisc w happiness.
The MC of the VN isn't overly perverted or dislikeable, all in all just a very average guy. His backstory is honestly way out there, but I guess the premise of the story itself, him getting into this girls school, is no different on that end.
The love interest are all likeable and interesting imo. They all have their own personality and charm. I went in the order of Ritsuko, Ayaka, Rise and Chiho, although I think any order would work. I saw someone mention that Ayakas route contains spoilers for Ritsukos route, but honestly it is so minor, that it really doesnt matter. I also kinda wanna stress that there has been routes in other VNs that I only did for the sake of completion, while not really liking the character featured in it, however it didn't feel that way here at all.
I liked all routes for different reasons. Ritsukos imo had a lot of tension at certain points that kept entertained, Ayakas and Rises route had some pretty dramatic elements. The one I liked the least was Chihos because it "wastes" a bit of time to get going, as the other routes are very straight-forward while this one is not as much. Regardless, it was still well written, the pacing threw me off slightly.
I also wanna point out, that the game has something like a built-in glossary, so you can check the majority of french (titles/names) by just clicking on it and get context.
I personally got the Mangagamer Version on sale a while ago after having this in my library for a pretty long time and since there is no patch, that is the way you are gonna have to go, if you want that content as well.
The only things I disliked are QoL stuff, that I am used to at this point. While fullscreen, I wasnt able to tab out, so I had to go to window-mode everytime (which is part of a quick menu but I would prefer this not being an "issue" in the first place). There is, to my knowledge at least, no way to skip from choice to choice, so when you are trying to play the other routes 1. make sure to save at the first one and 2. be prepared to fast-forward to the next since that is the only available option. The resolution also isnt "great" but the VN is on the older side so that is to be expected.
I would recommend this to anyone that likes lighthearted pure love stories with a dash of drama in each character story (well honestly I think some of the routes are also just more dramatic than others). Given the length of the game, I would say the price is also fair, however I'd still recommend waiting for sales. Then again I did buy the game twice.

Honestly this is probably a bit of a strange review coming in from 2023, but I definitely wanted to share my experiences. I've actually had the game I think since around the same time it came out, but just never really committed to it because I was a bit too young to really grasp the more geared towards adult themes of the story.

Overall, it is a very good game, the characters all have a unique charm to them, each of their stories are all wonderful and honestly pretty deep at some points. I can personally relate to the main protagonist Masaya, where growing up in an environment without really truly being able to make friends and having that desire definitely struck a cord with me.

There is a "common route" where the first 13 Chapters are all the same main story though with a few minor differences in dialogue and interactions when you pick a certain girl (which you have to pick the same one about 5 times in a row or else the game will just literally tell you it's a bad end). After the common route is where each character whom you can romance has their own unique stories, where generally there's the overall plot that's the same, but you really get to dive into a lot of different personal things pertaining to each character. It's honestly, very charming.

My only real complaint, is that once you focus on one romantic interest, they become the hard focus of the rest of the game. You don't really get to see too many major interactions with all of the rest of the cast, it just feels a little bit forced. Though none of it is inherently a bad thing, I just wish there was more opportunity to explore a bit more of their personal lives outside of just the major dramatic points.

There is also a part of me that feels a little bit empty after playing it, I decided to do every girl's route, because each route genuinely does explore unique interactions and story threads that are really truly worth engaging in each of them. But, the part that feels a little sad is that You don't really get to see it all pan out as one true ending, it's 4 different endings. And some of the stuff that happens in each ending, without spoilers of course, feels very significant and important to each character. It just feels a little, sad that not every feeling of each ending can be explored in a true ending way, so it does ring a little hollow just feeling like when you do finish one of their endings, you kind of have to pick in your mind which one is the "most canon" Which, is pretty hard when each story is all profound and wonderful in their own way.

Honestly though, that may just be the nature of the visual novel genre as a whole, if you are supposed to have a choice as a player. It does make a ton of sense as to why it feels that way, A lot of changes would need to happen to each story if the entire narrative was the same, since obviously, there wouldn't be dialogue for you dating 4 people at the same time (though that could be an interesting bad end), though I think the nature of the game and how profound each of the character's stories are, would maybe lend itself to be a little less profound if it were changed too. I'm still very happy to have been able to experience all of their stories and such, though I just wish that it didn't leave me feeling so empty.

I feel like the ending (again no spoilers), does conclude at the same point regardless of the route you go, the difference being which romantic partner you picked, though and again maybe it is the nature of being romantically attached to that character for that story, it does really feel like it just kind of ends. It is a conclusion and I guess the real conflict is dealt with, but it still makes me sad and want more if that makes sense. Which probably means the story and writing were really good though haha!

Masaya is definitely a little bit dense, he does have that "Anime Protagonist who is oblivious and indecisive" energy, but the fact he genuinely does mean well is also a very admirable trait. And it is an anime visual novel after all. I did have some good laughs during some of the dialogue moments as well, though sometimes the delivery did feel a little off, especially when a joke that works really well in Japanese, doesn't quite make as much sense in English in certain contexts.

This has all been a super long winded ramble about a near decade old visual novel game. I do recommend picking it up, though perhaps purchase the "W Happiness version." It has more content in what I believe is 5 "Alternative" routes with a selection of the other female characters in the game (also there's I believe an 18+ patch if that's something you would be interested in). I will probably give that a purchase myself when I feel my loneliness for this game's story set in a bit haha.

Thank you for reading this review, apologies that my thoughts are all a bit over the place, it is truly good though! And if anyone has a recommendation for any other VNs out there worth getting, I'll be leaving comments allowed just for that purpose haha!

Princess Evangile is a really high quality moege with a very atmospheric setting. As other reviews mention, there is an 18+ version which you may be more interested in, but even if you are craving some simple romance this should be able to settle that itch, 18+ or not. The routes are quite varied, and for the girls you wish had a route they have a fan disk also on Steam to amend this issue. Whilst the story plays it quite safe, it's still an enjoyable experience however if you already have a ton of moege under your belt this one doesn't do anything particularly new to stand out.

My favorite girl is romancable in W Happiness the spin-off game which I also recommend, however I love this game. Every single route is marvelous, and while it has been a long time since I played last I still remember enjoying the writing for each character. The comedy was a hit quite regularly. The emotional pay-off at the end of each route is super satisfying as well. This is a VN I recommend for anyone that enjoys a good romance VN.

One of a few visual novel that made me feel the passage of time, Princess Evangile was a long journey. What impress me the most was how colorful the cast and how very arcs was built up carefully and detailed. The message about changing and facing the future was very well conveyed. The girls were cute but a too “perfect” protagonist was a bit plain for me. Slice of Life moments were good but over the top drama involving crime and religious turned me off bit. Nevertheless, it was still a pretty good visual novel.

What a really good game!

First off, I just finished Rises-Route, this Review may updated in future.
So my point of view dont contain the other three Routes.
Secondly: This is not the eroge-version, it is the All-AGES version, it don't contain eroge.

Whom interested in the R-18 Version: Go buy it from the Publisher Site [ Mangagamer].

Where do I start for the actually review...

The Story so far is really good, I enjoyed every seccond and it was kind of relaxing.

You are Masaya-san and about to end at street, followed by debt collector. You walk around city, no place to return as you suddenly find a Girl troubled by a group of males (?) bodyguards....
One leads to the next and you find yourself in a All-Girls School which tries to change from All-Girls to a integrated school to escape their financial problems. But the most girls don't want boys on their school. Will you change their opinions and do you finally find a place you can call home?

To avert spoilers I don't go further in the Story. But thats roughly the start.

This Game contains 4 Routes and over 50hrs Gameplay ( I mean I just finished Rises-Route and I have around 50hrs... But I'm also a slow reader so... deceide for your own. You should still have over 50hrs Gameplay. )
Princess Evangile is divide in Chapters. Rises Route had as such 26 .

A few positive things I have to mention:

  1. The art of the game is really good, I like it and if I look at it from the aspect, that Princess Evangile is already 8 years old, I have to admit, that it is really good looking.
  2. As a non-native English speaker I can't rate the translation quality, but I didn't had any problems to understand the story and it was easy to read.
  3. [*]The BGM is a masterpiece itself, I really enjoyed it ( especially "important times" )
The Ending-theme "The Cherry Blossom was Watching" fits perfect the ending!

The only thing I would have to complain about is, that it is kind of awkward to take a screenshot.
And a major problem I have is(with Rises Route):
That the father didn't played any further role in the later game at all.
The Problem with Rise and her mother was solved in around one chapter, which left a threadbare taste of quickly finishing and ending. Kind of putting a 24 ep Anime in 12, but the 12 extra episodes are all in the last episode.
I kind of overlook this, because in the end it was still a good game and... "still a better lovestory than twilight". It is just... a bit disapointing ...
Like I said, it has a bland aftertaste in the otherwise great and amazing story.

Besides that, nothing else which really disturbed me.

I will continue to read the other three Routes and update this Review.

Moonstone good work! Thanks at the cast and to all involved. You did a great job!
Thanks Mangagamer for publishing.

Princess Evangile is a good visual novel game. It has a strong cast of characters and an interesting plot. It's also got some rather amusing scenes, let's take Chapter 19 from Rise's route for example, Masaya sends a grown man flying with a single blow! Anyway, the art style is really neat, although I think the SD art is, to be frank, a bit on the crappy side. But then, that's coming from someone who isn't fond of SD art as a concept.
I was kind of surprised at how heavy-duty the censoring of the steam edition is- I think it's just because Moonstone must do more heavy-duty censoring for their games than for example, Sekai Project. But I don't quite get why they took out what they did though. H-Scenes go without saying, obviously, but there is also some other stuff taken out or replaced as well.
While the common route wasn't exactly engaging all of the time, the character routes definitely make up for it. In fact, after you get into the second part of the game, you know you're bound to witness something very exciting; there's drama in every route.

Rating by route:
Rise: 9/10
Chiho: 8/10
Ritsuko: 9/10
Ayaka: 7/10

Rise's route is amazing. I thought playing the routes in reversed order was a good idea; Ayaka > Ritsuko > Chiho > Rise because Rise's route is more of a true route since it answers more questions than the other routes and the drama gets thick later on, when you get to Chapter 25. We find out how Rise's mother, who started the shrine fire, seems to be a deranged, hopeless lost cause who couldn't deal with change, yet she is actually living in a dream and was in an aggravated mental state. The whole thing was just incredibly gripping. There were loads of funny moments, too, like when the Goons came and crashed the Culture Festival. My god, I've never seen someone completely LOSE it to the point they don't know their own strength.
Ritsuko's route is a close second; it's actually really touching and you get to see how she becomes open and honest with her feelings, therefore able to show her true colors. The drama is an uphill gradient, and practically touches the sky near the end, well, Chapter 24 is called "An Incident", for instance.
Chiho's route was also pretty good. There are some very funny scenes like when Masaya gets the number wrong and summons the wrong girl to the Guardian Tree, and things get very exciting when Masaya's father is on the loose. And overall we get to find out how Masaya and Chiho met and came together.
Ayaka's route was a bit lacking, I'm afraid. It just doesn't have the same dramatic effects the other routes have, although when Ayaka gets into a fight with the headmistress, and stuff like that, I can see why this route, despite not being exactly gripping, does have its interesting and thought provoking moments.
Overall I give this game an 8 out of 10.

I wish that dream would never end and I could delate my memory so that I could play the story with the same feelings again (:. If there is a heaven, it must be like this.

If you like school visual novels with beautiful girls this might be the right visual novel for you.

The english in this story is very easy to understand with basic english skills.

This is going to be difficult...

Princess Evangile is the sort of game that comes around every once in a while that puts me in a really uncomfortable position. What started as something I had strong expectations for ended up being bitterly disappointing. The strong opening chapters gave way to a mediocre and often irritating first half that was not wholly redeemed by the much better character-specific stories in the second half. The end result being that I come out of this game feeling uncertain about what to do now that it is time to review it.

My first experience with the game was playing the demo, which covers a few of the early chapters of the story. First impressions were good. The protagonist, Masaya, had a rather nasty start where he was screwed over by his own father in a particularly despicable way. It put in me a hope that, perhaps, he would be a developed character of his own along the lines of, say, Tomoya from Clannad, Okabe from Steins;Gate, or Yuuji from Grisaia. His unpleasant backstory was more than enough cause to produce a jaded character who, while wanting to do the right thing, would still have an eye out for suspicious activity or behavior. In other words, I had a hope that Masaya would be, in contrast to quite a lot of VN protagonists, interesting and savvy enough to see when people were trying to mess up his life rather than just being a victim to other people's actions.

Instead, I ended up seeing a faceless stupid perverted doormat character that manages to be worse than most VN protagonists I have come across. I can understand that some people might not be the sharpest tools in the shed, but Masaya's repeated walking into situations where all the signs point to "this is a bad idea" is almost impressive in its stupidity. I had hoped that the first chapter of the game would be a life-changing event for him (as it would for basically anyone else), but the rest of the game just makes it clear that Masaya is, has, and will always be a sucker falling into other people's traps.

To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement: it did very serious harm to my opinion of the game as a whole. It's a case of when you end up getting high expectations from a first impression, the fall when reality ends up failing those expectations is all the harder.

Another character I have no choice but to bring up is Misako, the headmistress of the school. I've come across quite a few despicable, spiteful, and irredeemable characters before, but even I was a bit thrown by how foul she ended up being. The trouble is that she is at the center of virtually all of the drama in the story, which means she gets quite a lot of screentime. None of it, not even the bits you get about why she is the way she is, makes anything she does acceptable.

The standout moment for me came in one of the character storylines where she not only is deeply unpleasant, she breaks the law to advance her warped agenda. I'm not talking about a "Oh, the police may scold you or lock you up for a night" kind of crime, but one that in the US would get you at least 20 years in prison. And while I (sort of) understand why charges were not pressed in that situation (collateral damage), it sealed the deal for me that Misako was completely irrational, unsympathetic, and worst of all faced no real consequences for her actions. As with Masaya, her presence in the story actively hurt Princess Evangile.

Ok... so I despise two of this game's major characters. What about the rest? Well, while there was quite a few stereotypical VN/anime moments/tropes throughout the story, things actually got more interesting once the character-focused storylines came into play. This probably reflects badly upon me, but the moment when I really started thinking "Maybe I won't throw this game into a fire after all" was when someone got stabbed. Woohoo violence. But in all seriousness, even if Masaya's role in the story is pretty much entirely stereotypical and stupid, the female leads such as Rise, Chiho, Ritsuko, and Ayaka had more than a few good moments. I'm not sure which would be my favorite storyline, but Ayaka is the clear winner when it comes to this game's characters. But really all four of them are alright, and the various side characters are ok even if they mostly are just in the background and don't do much. Not in the same league as Clannad or Grisaia, but they are acceptable.

And now the hard part... Can I recommend this game?

The game is split into 26 "chapters", with 16 onwards, depending upon your choices, being the character focused storylines. Most of those first 15 chapters were draining to get through, especially when the obnoxious headmistress got involved. But, as already stated, the character storylines are noticeably better and improved my overall opinion of the game. If I was judging this game on the first 15 chapters, I would throw this game in a dumpster and light it on fire. But because of the character storylines, which in practice ended up being more than half of the game's overall playtime since there are four character routes, I can't do that as easily.

So I find myself at the end of this review, after 30 hours of playtime and close to 2 months attempting to chew through this game, conflicted. Ultimately, it is a question of if a friend decided to ask me whether or not this game was worth playing, what would I tell them? That the first half of the game isn't very good, the protagonist and main villain grate on the nerves, but that it ends up getting better in the second half? Sadly, the improvement in quality in the character storylines is not enough to make me want to tell my friends "get Princess Evangile and play it ASAP." It makes me want to tell them "Perhaps, but there are much better VN's out there that you can play instead."

So I guess that's a "no". A "no" for a game with a 95% approval rating on Steam is certainly going to get this review flamed. That's how internet people are after all: ragey people with hair-trigger tempers that will attack anything that remotely bugs them, regardless of the strength of the arguments presented. But I can't give a game a "yes" just because I don't like having my reviews downvoted. I'm going to have to bite the bullet on this one.

Princess Evangile is, in short, a middling VN that starts promising, rapidly squanders that, but ends up being fairly good once you get into the second half. But while this game is not "bad", the fact remains there are far too many other VN's I would recommend before this one.

But most of all, I'm just disappointed. :(

One of the staples of Visual Novels / Bishoujo games out there.
As you are the only guy in the entire school and serve as the key for reforming Vincennes Academy.
You will be judged on determine whether the school will stay as an all girls schools or reforming it as a mixed gender school.

Pros / Good points

Story
-The main story is pretty unique as it serves as the base and character development for most of the cast. The route works on choosing 1 girl out of 4 and go with it till the end. The development and conflicts for the story are definitely the key point of this VN.

Characters
-This VN have wide variety of characters. The main four girls were give their own unique traits and hard to be catogorized with a simple dere types. Each girls have their own motives and goals which serve the purposes of their own arc stories.

Memorable Soundtracks
-The soundtrack suits and sets the mood perfectly with scenes.
Its OST 17, Sorrow is the best piece of this VN IMO.

Dollars per Hour
-It's pretty long so it definitely pay for its price. Expect approximately 10 hours for its main route and 5 for each of the four girls.

Neat and helpful GUI
-The GUI actually helps you by explaining some of the gibberish girls words which is awesome. The feature allowing you to customize the visibility of the dialogue box is pretty neat.

Cons /Issues

The Storyline for routes are too linear
- Its lack of choices and endings might be quite of a turn off for those who wants a choice heavy VN.

There are only 4 girls route
-Some arguably main girls are left to the sides without their own routes even though the cast of girls are pretty huge.
Feels bad for Ruriko

Bad End
-Have the most lame and lazy bad ending I have seen from any VN I have played. It only has 1 bad ending and you can't be dissapoint enough.

Optimization
-It's a pretty old VN so you can't expect it to look that good one a higher resolution PC. It goes 720p at most. It also does not compatible with steam overlay. This is a big issues for those who wants to save screenshots.

After considering the Pros and Con, I would definitely recommend this game. It is great for those who just starting out on visual novels because it has a very simple choices on its routes. The story is mediocre compared to other staples however. The sequel to this games definitely fixed some of the issues with the story routes and cast who haven't given much development. However if you a hardcore VN player and wants some heavy choice game , this might be a turn off for you.

This VN has a really solid plot.

I pretty much judge a Visual Novel if it's good or bad on whether the emotions of the story got through me or not. And this one didn't fail. It really got through me and this is pretty damn good.

Also, I really like all four of the heroines. They're really likeable in my perspective.

8/10. Recommended.

Princess Evangile is primarily a dating simulator, this can be quite boring if it's not what you're looking for. In terms of a visual novel the story is amazing, each route will throw you into a violent rollercoaster of emotions. I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry at each one, both for happiness and despair. The music is wonderful and the whole story is good. Each route is different yet so gripping you won't want to stop.

The stories are evil, they will twist your heart in ways you've never known before.
Ritsuko-chan for best waifu.

Very recommended. Wonderful artwork, certainly value for money. The translation also uses very advanced English and some French, so be prepared to have google open.

To be honest this is my first review even though I've only done one route of it. So please dont slander me

Ill get over the pros and cons
Pros:
- Incredibly well done story (The drama is real is this one)
- Characters that will melt your heart ( Voice acting was amazing )
- Jokes are actually good
- The Art of the game is amazing
- Sound effect were on point

Cons:
- Wished there were "animations" per say
- No nudity involved (Ya damn pervs.)

Thats about it for the pros and cons, but where do i start the review? I'll just write a simple one then, The Story? Your a borderline unsocial jackass went it comes to girls (seriously there are moments so cringy on how he did not realize what the girls were talking about) that tries to save an all girls school from going bankrupt by changing it into co-education, sounds hard? Yes it is. With me playing 30 or more hours into it just means you are in for a ride. The characters (Main or even Side characters) they all had influence into the story, not just blatant side characters that just appears for chit chat and random moments, no they all actually have a point in the story. The routes are only 4 from this one. Im not complaining since each route really has a touching story to each girl, whether it being your old friend, your saviour, your enemy, or just a seductive older women that likes to tease you alot. The plot twists are incredible in it aswell like truly "a holy **** " moment. And then there was the ending. I cried. Seriously i did. Just to put it simply the drama ride you took and it ends all in perfect climax, it just hurts right in feels.

So should you buy this game?
Yes, preferably on sale

Is it a great game?
It is for me. Opinions of others do count, but yours is to find out yourselves.

How much would you rate it?
9.8/10, due to the fact it didnt have animations to it. (Also nudes were cut out, perverts)

And thats my review thanks for reading my random opinion about this wonderful game!

fifteen hours
fifteen whole fucking hours of non-stop angry feminist waifu action
and it was funny

In all seriousness, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. I thought this would be another "One Bloke, Fifty Ladies, Massive Orgy" game, but it actually wasn't.
If anything, it's actually trying to get them to like you that's difficult, mostly because your character is some shit-faced fuckin' never-spoken-to-women-before twat that likes to be borderline socially handicapped when it comes to women.
Which is funny, because he somehow ends up getting into some all-girls Christian school in China. Wait, is it Japan? No idea. Whatever.
Anyway, when he goes in, to my horror I discovered that the entire facility was filled with nothing but Extreme Feminist Students and a Headteacher / Camp Kommandant that hates everything with a penis. Like, holy shit, she fucking despises you because you're not a woman, and she's genuinely obnoxious to the point where you, as a player, will actually want to kick her out of the window and empty an AA-12 into her corpse.
Outside of incredible hatred towards the staff (except Sister Mishima, who is 100% bae), all the students, except about two, despise you for what is basically the reason that they have never seen a bloke.
So...expect arguments.
And eventual sex.
Have fun.

The question you're probably asking is whether this game is worth $35. The answer to that is subjective of course, but I generally say that a game is worth it if I get 1 hour per dollar. I know that's a bit of a cop out answer, so here's my actual review

Is the game good?
Yes
Is the game great?
Debatable, visual novels are somewhat different from most games in that the order you do the routes in them actually does have a significant impact on your experience. I did Ayaka's route first which made the other routes suck by comparison.

The game has a good sense of humour, and made me really laugh, like laughing hard enough for my head to touch my desk funny. That humour is one of the selling points. This is a feel-good VN, there are some darker parts to it, but for the most part it's supposed to make you smile.

That is an issue in some respects though, the game was enjoyable and entertaining. It was not however terribly touching (except one part of Ayaka's route brought tears to my eyes... her route is the best by far). Of the four romances:

One was cheesy (Ritsuko's was too ridiculous to ever take seriously)
One was pure vanilla extract (Rise's route... of course hers was also the funniest because they openly made fun of how over-the top vanilla it was. The drama felt a little forced though, and the romance overall felt unrealistic.)

One was good (Chiho's route was fairly standard, but had an actually realistic romance progression, [ it took two fucking months after declaring undying love for eachother in Rise and Ritsuko's routes for the first kiss] and was fairly exciting)

One was very good (Ayaka's route had stellar character development, she seems like an interesting character and winds up being interesting in ways completely different from your expectations. All development is explained logically and I felt this was the most realistic route due to the interal conflict and difficulty they had expressing their feelings... I mean come on, it's not easy to ask someone out, let alone confess your love to them before the first date).

Do I regret buying it, since 2 routes weren't my cup of tea?
No. Rise's wasn't bad per-se, it just wasn't to my taste, some people will like it, and some people even liked Ritsuko's route, in this kind of game, there will always be some contention when ranking routes and saying what was subjectively better. The forums do seem to agree that Ayaka's route is the best though, and it is.

Ritsuko's route was kinda like Mega Pirhana, one of those cheap ass Sci-Fi channel movies that are just hilariously bad. I couldn't really tell if the dev's were taking it seriously or not, but I wound up laughing during the climax (of the plot... the game is censored, but they did a really good job of it so I'm not complaining) which makes it a failure in my book.

The fact of the matter is that I got my money's worth, and would buy the fandisc if it came to Steam (assuming it was at or under $15)

As I mentioned before, order matters, I would reccomend Chiho's route first, then Rise/Ritsuko and end with Ayaka for maximal enjoyment.

Overall I'd give it a 7.5 / 10
Worth playing, but not the best thing since sliced bread.

definately worth the 38$, the jokes are funny, each story potrayed by each love interest is interesting and it's over all enjoyable

the only concern I had really was the few translation errors, but it is overall a 9.5/10 for me, although they should a DLC and add Ruriko's route that would be interesting.

Update: Played through the uncensored version of this game recently, i'd 10000% recommend getting that over the all ages version, & if you don't know how to get there you can easily message me on here & i'll help you out with that

do her.
I mean, Do It in her.
Oops.

I mean Do it for her! (yeah... i got it that time)

A great game thus far. Few Grammar errors but it provides entertainment as advertised. My only complaint is that I did not realize for $10 more I could see boobies and get a steam key for the cards as well.

Edit (finish Ritsuko Route): Even without the adult version this is very good. Takes ~45 hours from start to finish running on auto. I went with the Ritsuko route and it was very good and well worth the money. *must avoid manly tears over Ritsuko's love*. My only complaint is that the ending is very dry and doesnt give a full sense of completeness... It just kind of ends quickly after the story climax.

10/10 would buy again just for cards and then realize that I dumb.

i do recomend it, this will keep you hooked on it!!
game completed as of 05/04/15 time completed 76 hours

this was no game i ever played got me so interested in finishing it and there were alot of twist and turns and it was overall fun and so many suprises i did not see coming!
pros:
- amazing SD Art! (SO Kawaii!!)
- excellent storyline
- a huge variety of background music
- the jokes in it can so hilarious at times
- so many sence are epic!
- the feels.....(i really didnt think i would cry...)
cons:
- the jokes can go a bit far(still acceptable)
- the price can be off putting

conclusion:
excellent second visual novel for me but for the price it worth it, there are many plus for it and very few cons that would not make me not recommend it, as the characters are brilliant and hard not to love them all, soundtrack is unbelieveable and suited the mood incrediablely well, the artwork is stunning, the story was breathtaking.

as for the bad there not alot ,other than pricetag the other bad thing i can really say but it just me ,although it all age version there are time it was slightly disturbing of what it was implying but that only comprise of 1% of the time i spent playing this so it not so worrying.

So... Here is a serious review for a change.

First of i wanted to say that now i have only done Rise's route and it was amazing. (Will update once i've done more) (Have finished it but I'm to lazy to update, If you got any questions feel free to add me and ask or just comment below)

So where to begin... Well this game is a Visual Novel that has humor, drama, love, and some serious stuff aswell.

The jokes in this game are fantastic they made me laugh out loud and brightend my mood from the serious matters. Beatiful art AND soundtrack. This game also has voice acting, and not just some shitty voice acting. It is really good. It took me 18 hours to complete Rise's route and that is good time for a route imo (i consider myself a fast reader so it might take longer.) I dont really know what more i should say it's really good, in 2days i played it for 18hours (amazing? nah i should just get a life.) The length of this game is quite impressive as stated before and that to me alongside everything it is worth the price, dont let the price tag scare you. The only negative thing i can think of is there aren't many choices but they aren't really needed just feels kinda weird is all

Aand if you are 18+ and want a copy of the 18+ version you can buy it from here (you also get a steam key for the game) http://www.mangagamer.com/detail.php?goods_type=1&product_code=117 (NSFW, NUDITY ON THIS PAGE)
