“I can’t believe it’s not Zelda!”-type of action/adventure game.
That sound quite harsh to type out but it is how the game feels, a very middling, average substitute in a genre and on a platform with several other alternatives that are joggers in both quality and entertainment value. There are some nice aspects to the game, emulating the GBC-style screen scroll of older games and the N64 player style border around the game in full screen mode is charming. The puzzles are satisfying for the most part. But it’s nothing other games have not scratched the itch for before.
For fans of older Zelda, this will be satisfying on a mechanical level, and it’s short play time makes it a worthy investment but with a bland story and nothing noteworthy there are better options out there.
