But the creators of "The Great Fusion" –a bunch of 28 year-old guys in robes- wanted to make a different game, which could recapture many of those good old times from the classics of the genre. Those witty conversations which help solving the continuous puzzles popping up at every turn...It was a unique and unforgettable experience that can rarely be found in games today. Its an ok-ish adventure game for the price of 3 euros. Bought during summer sale few years back.
Entertaining game ;)
I didnt enjoy playing this game for a few reasons: no voice in the game (why??), the animation is very basic and not attractive, and above all - the story is stupid and the end is really disappointing....seems like a game that was develop without thinking
+ Not bad story with nice cameos
- Graphics isn't bad, but aesthetically it sucks
- The game definitely lacks many things which should have been reworked/fixed before release
- Some achievements don't work properly
A very nice game retaining the atmosphere of classic 90-s quests.

It's a bit buggy, but nothing serious.

Of all the references, the George Stobbart one was the best and this is reason enough to recommend the game! :D
All joking aside, I really can't understand the negative thoughts regarding the subject matter of the game. It has a pretty standard Orwellian aesthetic, but acts as a satyre on current affairs: Mainly the finanancial crisis and increasingly harsh copyright laws, with nods to the refugee crisis, the ever increasing wealth divide, the importance of Art and the power of money.
From the credits, I gather the developer team is based in Spain and as such has first hand knowledge of all these themes. As a (southern) European myself, I can see where the inspiration comes from, and in no way I find it "too left", or "too out there".
On the other hand, I have some issues with the technical aspects of the game. The controls are better suited for a touch screen (it is a mobile port after all), and the (slow) walking back and forth was a tad annoying. But that's it mostly! The game is short, so just sit back and enjoy the story!
Oh, and Mme Merkel makes an appeareance too! :D
Great Fusion is a great little point-and-click adventure game that was initially released on Android and iOS back in 2014. It is now available on the PC - as usual the adaptation has slightly better graphics but some gameplay elements and the main menu easily give it away (i.e. you can clearly see it was initially meant for smartphones).
Pros:
+++ Great hand-drawn graphics! It really reminds you of the old Lucasart's games that came out in the '90s.
+++ Similarly to those classic gems this one also uses humour as part of its story-telling. I especially liked the many references to films, music, celebritites, politicians and - naturally - to those classic games.
Cons:
--- While the game has excellent soundtrack it misses the voice-acting. I'm not sure it would have greatly increased the file size considering it is not that long. Afterl all, current smartphones have quite the memory capacity these days. Or they could have just done the voiceover for this particular version. Remember Day of The Tentacle had 2 versions (one with and another without a dub)?
--- The smartphone effect: the inventory is opened by finding the button on the left side and moving the cursor (while the button is pressed) from left to right. Surely the press of a button would have sufficed.
Recommended purchase for adventure game fans; just bear in mind that it is relatively short due to it being an adaptation of a smartphone app.
Game has a lot of social commentary in it, A LOT, this commentary is very ham-fisted and got annoying pretty fast. Aside from that this game is an ok point-and-click game and I would probably finish it I wasn't so annoyed by it's "message" and tired pop-culture references
Very basic point and click. Unfortunately too basic and there's not much in it. I didn't like anything in this game. Well I didn't hate it, there just wasn't any catch that kept me playing except my principle of "once started must be finished". Everything felt like it was made in a hurry. I mean backgrounds look like the first sketch waiting to be finished, and whats more the graphics style itself changes in the middle of the game. Cartoon storyboards could have had more details. Characters could have shadows. And what on earth is that monotonous muzac? Kinda liked the Bear-bar's music but otherwise just nope nope nope. Why's there two interfaces to use different doorways? And yes, the slightly depressed protagonist type is what we all have seen already in so many p n'c games...

Enjoyable, funny, toilet humor and a bit with a dog. What's not to enjoy. A light hearted look the meaninglessness of life.
Good Point & Click game. It's not different than other games in this genre but still fun to play.
Point and Click style game, I wouldn't say this is one of the better ones but it's still good enough for a playthrough. I played this in offline mode till the end so my playtime on this title isn't correct.
My Score - 6/10
Fun, well-written, old school. A good point n' click shot for a pleasant evening of retro adventure-gaming.
I DONOT LIKE THIS GAME
One word, lame. Especially conclusion got me blank stare at the screen.
Great fusion is a good idea gone bad, although comic style story telling was fun to watch.
I wish that under "Do you recommend this game?" between the "Yes" and "No" buttons, there would be one called "Meh". The Great Fusion is a nice looking, well made game, but while the game feature list includes "Current affairs remarks with nods to social criticism", the game is so left leaning that I got a cramp in my neck from playing it. Don't get me wrong, I certainly agree with some of the general sentiment, and I'm as aware of income and privilege disparity as poor people tend to be, but by the end of this game, I was starting to feel like it was written by Noam Chomsky and Alex Jones.
Aside from what sort of message the game may or may not be trying to convey, Is it fun? I did play through the whole game, but it never really felt all that fun. A lot of walking back and forth, dragging things over other things, hoping one of them would work, all the while being presented with a series of stereotypical caricatures such as "the greedy landlord", "the stupid boss", "the corrupt cop", or "the blind fish seller". Ok, well that last one wasn't all that stereotypical, but anwyay.
The Great Fusion does try to be funny, and falls rather flat there as well, since it feels like every attempt at humor is pasted over the "message" the game is trying to deliver, besides the gags just not being funny in the first place. I liked the bit about getting the rat to wash the dishes, but the funniest part is that the entire game is about how copyright protection and enforcement pretty much destroyed civilization as we know it, and I bought the game on Steam.
UPDATE: Steam trading cards are working as intended now.

What you'd expect from a point and click game, but I've been playing an hour and a half and the only reason I've understood some of the objectives was by seeing the achievements... and even those have dead ended me until I try every combo to make the story proceed. Game is pretty linear and not much freedom to devert from the story, reminds me of the old school Sam and Max Hit the Road / Leisure Suit Larry (no lusty ladies though) to a degree.
For five bucks was worth a go, the game is motivated by politics and copyright laws/big brother, so if that isnt your cup of tea, then you may want to steer clear. Otherwise worth giving it a shot.
