Rifts Cave, while ambitious in its attempt to create an immersive VR experience in a fantasy setting, unfortunately falls short in execution. The graphics feel outdated, with low-quality textures and bland environments, which breaks the immersion that’s crucial for a game of this type. The gameplay is extremely basic, consisting mostly of simple platforming and repetitive puzzle-solving, without much depth to keep players engaged. Performance issues and lack of polish further detract from the experience. I wouldn’t recommend this, as it feels more like an unfinished tech demo than a full game.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

One of my first experiences in a world that I can move in freely in VR. Most of the other ones at the point I had tried this one, had you in a fixed point, besides like that haunted mansion/asylum/circus one. I must have gotten it somewhere else? I see the release date is 2021? I remember using my DK2 with this one, I don't think I've had that one hooked up since the CV1's came out. I was SO excited when I first played it! I will always have a soft spot for Rifts Cave. It helped to grow my love for worlds made in VR. I don't think this game gets the recognition it deserves for being ahead of it's time.
NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Crashed my PC (Windows 10) at startup loading screen twice. AVOID!

does not work with dk2 with runtime 7.0
One of those uncompelling VR purchases.
I'm all for tons of VR, more than I can even play. When a new title on Steam announces it has VR support, I normally investigate and see if it will work with the DK2 (Yes, beware as Valve is too incompetent to properly label VR titles; you must do your own verifications in order to make sure the game actually works with VR, even if Steam says it should... it may very well not - Steam just want to take your money)
While this title worked virtually perfectly with the DK2, content-wise it fell short. Very short. Don't get me wrong, it looks fairly good in there (fairly, not incredibly... I was more impressed with the visuals in Frontiers) but it just doesn't seem right. The scales are off, the LOD lacks and as a showstopper, some basics like camera clipping values are wrong.
I stopped my run when I recognized something I learned in Unity on day 1: I could see a big diamond-shaped hole in the skybox. So we didn't change our default Oculus camera rig values. Hum. Quit.
I regret this purchase. I find it alarming to read things like "must own for DK2 users". Your bar must be so low in the must have department.
This game is bad! Wish I could get my $10 back.
First the good about it:
- It can be pretty in parts
The bad:
- Horrible voice acting, controls are bad, you won't know what to do almost all of the time and get lost / frustrated.
- Motion Sick? Not all the time, but with jerky camera movements and some bad fly by camera area's you will get motion sick.
- Don't buy this game, this is an example of bad VR.
Unplayable Eye Candy (at this point).
All I can say is it looks good but does not play right. The centering of Oculus doesn't work so this causes issues right from the start. Movement is awkward to say the least and, after less than 10 minuets in the game graphical artifacts occluded my view so much that I just gave up and quit.
I wish I didn't spend my money on this and it should be considered pre-alpha but, I do hope that it improves because some of what I saw looked good.
I'm gameface so I will be uploading a video of my playing experience for others to judge for themselves.

You can't charge 10 dollars for this shit, maybe 2 or 3 but no more than that, the game is broken, it might have some nice visuals but the effects, and enemies are just ridiculous, its impossible to play
I regret buying this game.
although it was cheap.. i feel ripped off.
This is no better than the free demos you would find on
the oculus rift sharing page for free.
Lots of bugs and unpolished animations and effects.
Voicework is sub standard and no mouth sync.
Textures and sound is terrible.
On the positive side. Some of the terrain is quite beautiful.
Voice actine has to go not sure the point of wizard hide and seek and the wizards house and books needs some work. Kill the voice acting make it text. Not a buy yet 5. to support what it could be maybe
Originally I posted that the game made me sick due to framerate issues and that the game would quit after you hit the start button on an XB360 controller.
The controller issues have been fixed and the framerate is a bit more optimized, but the game itself is super lame.
The game is really bland and boring. The voice acting is mediocre at best and there is no solid gameplay. The animations in the game are poorly done, for example, the fire "spell" cuts off immediately as soon as you lift the button, and there is no level structure. You can visit a few places with no context of where you are. This feels like it truly is still just someone's project for fun and not polished enough to even be on Steam.
I regret this purchase.
