GRAND SCALE
Become the commander of a colossal force, leading your troops into mass fights with up to 32 000 units present on the battlefield at the same time. 20 unique nations, 100 research opportunities, over 220 different historic buildings, and 120 unit types are at your command. Besides the epic battles on land, you are welcome to build the greatest armada the world has seen and dominate your enemies at sea.
CLASSIC GAMEPLAY
Send your peasants down the mines, chop forests for wood, and don’t forget to manage the crops. Keep an eye on your town's prosperity and the field victories simultaneously, as if you are the true eminent hetman! Dive into the Golden Age of the RTS genre and explore infinite tactical options, including buildings construction and resource production, a broad selection of various units, and the landscape influence.
STRATEGIC CHALLENGE
Once the singleplayer campaigns are completed, advance to conquer the title of the Greatest General in the multiplayer! Up to 8 commanders can compete for the victory or forge alliances against an AI opponent. Do you have what it takes to outsmart the adversaries?

This game is awesome. I rarely play games that is about the 17th and 18th Century. It's amazing to see different playable Nations and discover what their buildings, armies and sometimes their cultures look like. Futhermore, the designs of the maps and soldiers armours and uniforms are very lovely. Plus, the stories are very interesting and fun(I also love the jokes they've put in there). Finally, the music is hyper addictive. I can't stop listening to them.
This game sometimes reminds me of my childhood when I play flash games. I'm glad that I bought this game, I can't wait for the next DLC to come and I hope they finish the Editor mode.
We need to get this game going again guys and gals!

Very good strategy game. In depth, and old school.
Kinda like Age of Empires, except resources don't disappear, and there are only two ages. So the action is driven more towards unit composition and tactics.

Honestly if u have a newer PC.. Labtop dont buy this game.. Constant crashes.. if ur around 2015 or before go for it with labtop or computer.. Dont get it after that.. I cant stand how much i crashed and they wont fix it.

This has been a game that i have played for the last 20 years
This game brings me quite a lot of nostalgia, and is very good at reminding you of the original games - same countries, same tech tree, same annoying bugs, same poor target priority on ships... And same inability to change the camera direction?.. From the videos on the store page I thought I'd be finally able to do that, huh...

Fun game that has cool maps, unlimited armies and real economy. Play the civilization you like and team up with friends online.
Love the mechanic to be able to quickly conquer some buildings and peons. this change the dynamic of combat and base defense. Hope to see a Cossack 4 someday ... don't need no fancy graphics, just good a game and playability.
Need work on map generation and diversity. ( * EDIT )
Maybe rework the bonus for nations and info accessibility ?
Brilliant update to an absolute classic game. I adored Cossacks as a kid and it's great to get back into it at the ripe old age of 32! It really holds up.

Finally, Cossacks 3 still works on Kubuntu 24.04.1 LTS. Multiplayer was not tested. And it is running natively.

Best RTS I've ever played
I'm using AMD GPU and can't change resolution and Window mode. Out of memory issue still happened.
SUPERB
Cool game.
Great game, great graphics. Worth the money and an amazing upgrade from the original Cossacks: Back to War. Unlike other remakes, remasters, etc, this one actually makes the game better other than just better graphics. Gameplay is actually quite improved and smooth. The rework feels as great as the original.
Buy the game on discount if you do not have access to the old game, otherwise, this has nicer graphics, some newer maps and a few more nations (payable DLCs which you can also get on discount only) But it is lacking the big ol' ships from first game. I would not buy it if I had access to the original.

My first rts ever i didnt grow up with age of empires i sucked at COSSACKS and i still do but i loved the level editor back then
