Описание
The Moon Sliver is an experiment in exploration-focused storytelling, blurring the line between novelette and game. It seeks to tell a deceptively complex, poetic story in a literary fashion, through an interactive medium. It rewards players who ask questions and actively seek to figure things out for themselves.
Explore the island, keep your flashlight charged, wait for night to fall.

This is one of the first games made by David Szymanski and the writing shows small glimpses of his talent as a game creator and his masterful ability to create unique experiences. However, due to the abstract nature of this game and the lack of gameplay, I can only recommend it to David's hardcore fans only. Stay away if you hate reading!!
Short and interesting story, definitly worth your time.
MAke sure you like reading though
The gameplay is very similar to David Szymanski's other game fingerbones, but I think the story is far better and more cohesive. The atmosphere is very good, but I don't understand the purpose of the flashlight battery mechanic. Spoiler warning, but there are no monsters or npcs or even signs of life in this game, but it has a survival horror flashlight that dies after like 1 minute of being on. That's probably my only problem with this game, especially for being only $1. I would recommend this game if you have an hour to kill and a dollar to spare.
David Szymanski has come a long way since this, but it's still worth a look.
I'd like to recommend this but the story loses all momentum as it progresses, it's a bit mediocre overall.
Decently fun and good shot narrative experience, presentation might be a little rough upon starting up but a good way to spend an evening and get a tiny bit spooked too.
Avoid at all costs or get rekt by boring gameplay.
Really good story!
good game
Short but touching story. Labyrinth section and the ending are superb.
David Szymanski, thank you.
Heard a monster growl behind me then immediately remembered I can't do horror games and closed the entire game. Great atmosphere though, really fun to piece the story together. Maybe one day I'll relaunch it and try to finish it.
This game was so so for me but still worth the play. He does a good job of building fear with all of his early games. I made my girlfriend play it and she thought it was terrifiying lol. It is a little scary.
aimlessly wandered around and came across a bunch of puzzles with no indication how to solve them, while disjointed narrative spewed across the screen. not good!
Perfect example of how the derogatory term "walking simulator" should be used with extreme caution, and definitely not in this case : yes, you will just walk for approximately 1 hour, picking up a couple keys and reading clues, and yet the creator managed to tell an interesting and (very) sad and bleak story. The music was also really good, the ambient tracks perfectly suit the overall atmosphere
Pretty atmosphere, soundtrack and good small story fragments
Simple, yet evocative. Though it's mostly reading with a few keys scattered around to pick up, the arid island combined with the waning spirit of its characters comes together to create a solidly engaging story. The Moon Sliver doesn't stay long to say its piece, but it's a neat package all the same.
A solid short story with the signature dark themes and atmosphere David Szymanski is so great at capturing. Not the best of his early works, but certainly a great first outing.
I picked this game up on a whim, beat it in about an hour, and loved it.
The story is difficult to piece together at first but you slowly reveal more and more of it over the course of the game, and it is surprisingly deep and complex for a 1 hour experience.
The atmosphere is top notch. Somehow with very limited graphics, little gameplay and the same ambient tracks playing over most of the game, David Syzmanski manages to make you really feel immersed in a way most games of this type fail to do. A lot of that may be due to the beautiful yet desolate design of the island, which perfectly compliments the main themes of the game.
If you can spare the £2 and and think this sounds like your kind of thing, I would absolutely say, go for it.
I really would love to see more games like this.
Legitimately engaging story. Conveyance (IE conveying what to do next) isn't great, but it's one of his earlier efforts so I give it a pass. 4th game of David's I've played and I gotta say he's 4 for 4. Legitimately want to play everything this guy has made.
