Step into the shoes of an airport employee in Airport Simulator 2015
Experience exciting and varied tasks in the field of aircraft handling at a major international airport and take control of high-powered aircraft tractors, de-icing vehicles, and many more! Airport Simulator 2015 features a total of five popular aircraft types and 14 different vehicles, offering a huge range of different tasks on the apron and taxiway.
These tasks need to be done, come rain or shine, day and night. Keep in mind that even the slightest delay in flight operations will cost you cold, hard cash.
Make sure that planes are refueled and boarded while also taking care of catering and baggage and cargo transport. Navigate airplanes to their parking positions with the aid of the follow-me car and get behind the wheel of the shuttle bus to transport passengers. Guide the ground power unit to the required position, prepare the passenger stair truck or jet bridge, and much more. When the weather starts to get cold, your skills in ice and snow removal will be put to the test. Airport Simulator 2015 also features an entire fleet of vehicles.
If your vehicles reach the limits of what they can do, you can improve them with various upgrades in the vehicle hangar. This is the only way to stay on top of the ever-growing demands and time pressures of aircraft operations, all while unlocking numerous achievements using just a bit of skill.

You have to stick with it. Go for jobs that give experience points, you earn more money, upgrade equipment quicker, it then goes faster, more jobs in less time... promotion etc.
This is fairly boring. To call it a simulator is already a stretch anyway.
-Terrible controls on everything (not and exaggeration... absolute horrible control)
-Everything is a Point A- Point B style of mission so very boring
-All tasks are mind numbing boring after the first 45 min
-Icing on the cake is nothing is even appealing to look at
Im only continuing to play because im a dog shit achievement hunter and only spent $2 on this.
3/10 I do not recommend this.
Enjoyable for roughly ten hours if you're looking to casually play, but a solid grind past this if you want to earn all of the achievements. Note here there is one broken achievement in AS15, it tracks and unlocks correctly in-game but not on Steam so unless you're fine with using SAM or similar you completionists may wish to skip this title.
Easily one of the better airport games on here at the moment, but that's not saying a whole lot with the current crop of contenders. This one went for a slightly different setting, what appears to be a euro-styled airport during winter. Most operations take place at night despite there being a day/night cycle as this only changes on game load. Expect to be doing piles of tarmac snow removal and cargo shuttling while dodging often suicidal AI vehicles which have no drivers (yours are empty too, hello Maximum Overdrive). Using tugs is quite fun as AI tugs and any planes free wheeling on the tarmac tend to ignore you, so things can get a little tense sometimes. Bonus points for some vehicles having optional in-cab view with functional mirrors.
No bugs that I encountered, apart from one CTD and the de-icing truck's arm occasionally freezing up near plane wings. Solid buy when on sale, a bit steep at the full price...which they seem to increase a little every year. That's different lol.
First of all, AS2015 is made by different developers which seem to have better programming skills than the devs of 2014. So that's a PLUS.
Secondly, keep in mind it's a Casual Simulator. Most casual-sims are pretty much the same... Learn how to repeat boring tasks over and over again for a worthless reward. However, some people enjoy sims like this because it's relaxing and therapeutic.
This Airport Simulator is extremely easy. All you have to do is complete random timed tasks for experience and cash. Experience unlocks more items. Cash upgrades the items. You also earn achievement cash rewards along the way.
The game gives you plenty of time to complete the tasks in the beginning, so don't feel pressured or pushed, take your time. The time limits shorten as you earn more experience.
Keyboard controls are mostly ... W, A, S, D, SPACE and arrow keys up, down, left, right.
Mouse control is pretty much standard for selections, rotation, panning and zooming.
What you'll be doing most of the time is operating various well-known machinery you would normally find at an airport which serves the planes or the tarmac area itself.
This is NOT a management sim. You're just an employee following orders. You're an Indian, not a Chief, but you do get to choose which opened gate task to do next.
The graphics and controls are satisfactory.
It's still fun to me so far, but I'm sure I'll probably get bored with it after a week.
9 hours of gamelplay later...
There is 1 little bug that should be mentioned. Sometimes the De-Icer truck refuses to switch between Nozzle and Driver mode even though you're sitting inside the proper marked area. If this happens, then try bringing up the settings menu and click "close". Sometimes that trick clears out the bug. Otherwise, you might have to abort the mission.
After I reached the maximum level Rank it appears most missions will fail (run out of time). So it definitely does get harder and you really have to be bookin' it to finish missions. The problem is I leveled all the way up before I upgraded all of my equipment, and now I don't have enough cash to fix the issue. Therefore, here's a tip... Upgrade all of your equipment BEFORE you accept that last BLUE mission. Otherwise, you'll be sorry.
About 18 hours of gameplay later...
Purposely working on the Achievement Rewards makes the game more interesting, especially if you've given up on finishing missions due to impossible time limits.
How to partially reset your profile without losing your achievements....
Spoiler Alert! This will also give you a hint on how to cheat...
(you can do this while the game is running, BUT it must be waiting on the Main Menu)
1. In Windows navigate to " %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\LinkSolutions\Airport Simulator 2015 ".
2. Open " preferences.xml " file for editing.
3. You'll see a script similar to the following...
4. With the exception of 'Preferences id=', 'Coin' and 'MachineLevels', change the listed entries to EXACTLY as you see above and Save the file. Don't mess with anything else.
5. Return to game's main menu and reload your game profile.
... You'll notice your Career Rank has been reset, but you can continue playing using the easier time limits, and continue working on your achievements.
What's the game worth? ... not $14.99, that's for sure. I would say no more than $10, no less than $5. That's just my honest opinion.
Good game but it gets very boring and repetative. The only things to do are drive the various vehicles and once you have done it about 3 times, you've practically finished the game. You can upgrade the vehicle speed with your money but thats about it.
There is only one airport you are in with only a relativly small play area
boring game. The input device is noet even meant to be used with a steering device which makes driving with the vehicles a frustrating experience. Not worth the money spent on it.
Horrid to play on a laptop but when i got a gaming PC, it was good but i still do not recommend this game because it is just only one thing to do and the graphics arent like the 2014 one. You cant have helpers, you only do one thing to a plane and it calls it a day. DO NOT BUY!
I work a the airport, so I wanted to try this simulator. Although its not exactly how an airport functions, it does have the basics. However, most of the time, when working there, the problems are not what happens outside but inside. The game does not show any people and thre doesn't seem to be much of point playing beyond the 5th section. Once you unlocked the bus and the ranp and the plow, you're pretty much done with the game. You've seen it all. I only played for a few hours, and it felt nothing like the airport. So it is a poor simulator.
With the title "Airport Simulator" I was expecting more of an Airport Management Game. This should have been titled "Airport Ground Services Employee."
It is a bit lame, but overall is entertaining... at least for a couple of hours.
For $2.99 I would say its ok for for $14.99 I would say no way. This game is pretty mudane. Moving snow from the same spot almost everytime and marshling aircraft from the same spot almost everytime. Only buy this game when it's on sale as it is not worth the full price they are asking.
its pretty fun when loading, unloading passengers, cargoes, deicing, clearing the snow, help the airliner to follow to the gate, pushing back, refueling planes and recharging planes.
In theory this game has potential, they need to expand the misions, expand the detail more and get better control for the vehicles
i think tht the price is way to high! but over all its and ok game, the graphics aren't that good and the sounds aren't either
Its rubbish from the first addition, the pushback in particular doesnt pushback properly, i am very disappointed with this game it needs a lot of updates. The begining is dead easy until u come to snow clearer, it is very hard to control and clear the snow. then this pushback it is impossible. Update is required urgently.
Sadly there is no good airport simulator games made yet. This game gets boring too quick. Nice way to take a look how ground jobs is handeled. Hope that gameteam is adding some point some terminal building and free hands to make your own airport etc.
Rubbish ! Look at it's predesor Airport simulator 2014 "Overwelmingly Negative" that says it all
Okay, so I had high hopes given the great visuals and soundtrack of the first, even if it could use more in the simulating department...this was not what I was talking about. But then again, after writing this review for the first time, I found out that a completely different developer created this...go figure...
The graphics are great, technologically speaking, but it is way off; It gives a disco atmosphere to the game that simply is out of place. For the soundtrack a disco theme was chosen as well, and even though it doesn't sound half bad it still is way of.
The game mechanics themselves remind me of those Facebook Flash games or mobile apps; It involves simple tasks that just need to be done quickly. That in itself is not so bad, but for the price of $15 or so I'd expect a lot more. The developers seem to have no idea what the difference between center of mass and center of rotation is, not to mention how a vehicle handles or ac- / deceleration works don't really help either. Expect controls to be fully registered by the game, but react late, accumulating reactions and spitting them in your face whenever the engine feels like it.
Airplanes seem to fall out of the sky, land perfectly safe, go from 150km/h to 10km/h within 10 meters (visual judgement, but I hope you can understand this looks TERRIBLE)... There are missions that involve guiding an airplane to its gate by driving a car in front of it. Although I can understand why, I cannot wrap my head around the fact that the mission is more about driving through checkpoints as fast as you can and not about actually guiding the airplane to its gate... The snow cleaning is half-decent, in that, as a Farming Simulator player I am accustomed to those kind of drive-over-messy-area-with-device-turned-on-until-counter-reaches-zero missions, but still...
Some things I enjoyed were the missions where an airplane needed to be refueled or recharged using a fuel-truck or mobile generator, where you actually need to plug stuff in, but these missions are cut off once the plane is fueled / charged and you don't get to clean up behind you.
This brings me to another point, nothing you do actually matters. It's just grinding missions for cash (for upgrading equipment so it runs faster) and experience (for unlocking new equipment). There is no AI you can employ so you can handle more airplanes at the same time, even though the airport has 16 (as far as I could see) gates, and you have no say in what airplane goes where, because you have no control over the assets at said gate.
Conclusion, I'd like the developers of 2014 to be able to continue on the Airport Simulator series, as they apparently know a lot more about what they're doing...
NOTE: As stated in the first paragraph, I found out this was by a completely different developer than the 2014 version, and even though I adjusted this review there may still be some references to that game or comparisons that I overlooked. Take it as a sign that those developers have a lot more going for them than these clowns...
Let me start by saying I am a HUGE Viscera Cleanup Detail fan, (250hrs logged). Just to let you know that I don't mind menial task simulators. Keep that in mind when you read the rest of the review.
I caved and bought this game. Not sure if it was a good idea or not. Leaning more to not... It's an amusing game for a little while, but becomes extremely repetitive.
This game has virtually no challenge or consequence to it what so ever:
- The objective times are stupidly generous. If you can't finish the objective with 2/3 - 1/2 of the allotted time left, then you are doing something very wrong.
- There are virtually no penalties. You can drive a car into a planes engine at 100mph with no consequence. You can ignore the paths and drive anywhere you want with no penalty. (I cut a snow blower in front of a taxi-ing plane)
- You can leave your vehicle anywhere, even behind the wheels of the plane.
- Clearing snow is just silly. You can literally just go to the area, start the engine and do doughnuts.
Physics is bad:
- The Lead car randomly slides sideways at low speed.
- If you jack-knife something with a trailer while reversing, the trailers just slide with no penalty to speed.
I managed to finish career mode in under 4hrs. This game is great if you have a couple mins to kill but any sustained play gets tedious.
If you are interested in this game, wait till it's $5 or less.
I have made a mistake by purchasing this game. Its not worth to spend 13$ for it. It cannot be termed as airport simulator. If the game is like creation of airport, runways, accepting contracts for various airline co's to land their flights, fuel contracts, repairing, managing time schedules of different flights departures in consideration to arrivals, passanger lounges, creating waiting area and all the things that are related to airport, then it can be called as airport sumulator game. In this game player is required to do same action again and again and that irritates. Its a waster of money.
Not worth buying, lots of simple bugs and just a simple arcade game which i wouldnt call simulator at all.
