The saddest part of Dicetiny conforming to the ubiquitous “I know the reference” fanboyism hook is wasting some actually decent, cohesive art assets on parody content instead of developing Fakedice an IP to call their own--which would drop countless copyright infringements along the way as a bonus.
Unfortunately it’s undercooked below surface level as well. Good ideas frequently don’t quite come together--at times because luck plays too much of a big role, at times for balancing/pacing issues, or even due to the eventual (sure as death and taxes) bug/crash hitting.
When planets align, levels feel like a blast to play. More often than not though, Dicetiny frustrates and wastes the player’s time.

Amazing card-board game with nice drawn visuals, addictive gameplay with tactics, collectibles, tense main story and side quests full of funny recognizable characters packed with humour and a lot of references and parodies. Forces you to use brain at times. Works on potato. For a price tag of bottle of water.
This was a fun and decent dice game / board game.
I liked the mechanics of this, they were simple enough without being overly complex.
It can get a bit repetitive after a while, but the varied characters you can get help keep it fresh.
Best purchase in steam, really. Don't need to wait for sale! They asked me kindly in tutorial not to make a refund, that they will teach me how to win. And so why would i do that, if i finished the game, sold trading cards and return money what was spent. Its easy 22₴/21₴.
There’s an RPG dice game on mobile that was pretty good and it was the main reason that I bought this, figured it’d be as good or creative but it just falls short. The visuals are a bit messy and it’s not presented in a way where you can tell what’s going on at a glance. I was still playing it though figured I’d finish it but when I encountered a crash on the same fight, TWICE, I figured Nah, I’m not wasting more time on this. Overall score 1/10
