Blood Bowl 2

This is a highly niche game based off of the table top game. So I really only recommend it for people who are familiar and like the table top game. I own the first one but not on steam, there is a Bloodbowl 3. I like this because it's closer the table top edition I am familiar with, then 3. There is a lot of DLC in the forms of teams added since launch. There seems to be a lot of DLC for all the games so factor that in when thinking of buying it. My issue with a lot of these game developers, if you have the older game with up to hundreds of dollars in DLC, they like to break it to force you to buy the latest and greatest thing, because a lot of these games rely too heavy on servers that eventually will go down, and leave you with a game you payed money for and is unplayable. This is playable, but I've notice it doesn't like to connect to servers a lot when it needs to. I am just getting back into it, I bought it twice when it came out, one for x box, and one for PC. I don't know how much longer this will stay up. I do wish it was made in a way people could make private servers, instead of relying on their server to always be up. It still works decent single player but even that sometimes it needs to connect to servers for team making, etc.. and it doesn't always connect.

I like the game I don't recommend it unless you are fan of playing table top. This needing a server even in single player is why I don't recommend it. One day the servers will gone, and you won't be able to play your game because of the way they made it. So If you don't own it already, I wouldn't buy it. The multiplayer league is pretty much dead, and unless you have friends you are going to play with in a player made league you won't be able to play multiplayer everyone seems to have moved on to Bloodbowl 3. The single player mode will be dead when the servers go down; because it needs to connect to make a team, game results, and a host of other things no single player game mode should ever need to do. It is not that I don't like this game, it's just made with a limited life span and it's old now. The servers tend to not connect at times, and once the servers are down for good it will be unplayable. I don't get why a developer would make a game that requires server connections even in single player so frequently, but that is how they made it. Which is why I don't recommend it. If you don't already own it don't buy it.

This game is so fun. When the players smash each other in the face carries much weight. The tense moments when you're waiting for a dice result are intense with huge swings. The moment when one of your players is outnumbered and manages to punch his way out to when a wide open player trips and falls! Its chaotic, random and funny.

To bad the game its based on is so overpriced.

A turn-based sports game, wow how often do you find them!!!! I usually play this Player vs Player. It is a lot of fun. There is a lot of DLC for this game. I know this is an older game but get on sale and have some fun.

fun. played for the single player experience and it provides. My only gripe is that the AI leagues aren't scaling properly and rely on star players every game. Gets really lame seeing the same star player being picked all the time and having to deal with it each session.

It feels like the AI hardly ever fails a roll, I've made tallies for how many times the AI succeeds a 1 block die roll and the results honestly make me question if my luck is truly just terrible or if the AI just seems to know the outcome beforehand. Either way the game has a log of dice rolls you can personally skim through and verify each particular roll so in all reality it is a fair game although at time stress inducing as your hopes will be crushed. A lot.

I've learned that this is a game about minimizing risk, if that sounds interesting give it a go. still holds up

I tried this game for over 4 hours, really trying to like it. Really not to much fun to be had here for me.

24 Teams and 11 Mixed Teams - Bringing it to total of 35. Kislev and Bretonnia being exclusive in comparison to BB:Chaos Edition. (23 teams with Khorne Daemons exclusive to BB:CE)

You like beating enemies with tactics? You like beating enemies to death with your bare fists? Well...this game gives you both! This is football - plus violence, plus a really dumb AI, plus sarcasm, plus goblins that can be thrown around and die when they land.

Dice rolling game. Your dice are pretty random, but the AI teams dice are pretty obviously some kind of rigged. I've played enough dice games, and enough of this game, to notice. when the computer team fails a dice roll its a surprise, it will only happen a handful of times every game. You arent playing against the enemy team, you are playing against the predictable RNG of the opponents dice, and the randomness of your own. games arent much fun when they dont follow the rules they set for the player.

Love Blood Bowl but the company that makes this game is too greedy so /shrug i cannot recommend it. Other than that the TT rules are there and the game animations and look is decent .

This is a great game, and reinstalling it after a long hiatus. I found III to be a huge disappointment, mostly because of a really clunky interface that made making decisions difficult. Play this version, especially if you can get it on sale.

One and only BB

The expansion of team types is welcome the lack of management options for teams is an utter pain. There are one off friendly and solo campaign modes but the team management system is entirely set up for online match and league play. You cannot set up your own teams and leagues and play them solo or local PVP you can not carry over experience for your custom team in friendly matches the whole system is extremely inflexible. I think designed by someone who does not understand the blood bowl player base.

This game scratches one specific and hard to find itch - League play with character progression. You and X friends can play round robin or knockout tournaments with AI factions added, where your individual squad characters all level up individually, and also progress as a team - they develop skills, wounds or even get beaten to death.

It really generates a story for the individual players and the league itself, and lets you have your own community, which is something fading in modern gaming.

The AI does unfortunately stop presenting a threat after a few dozen hours of play,

When this game is at its peak, it's the best at what it does - which is a fun, chance mitigation wargame.

I have a moderately sized appendage and considering I'm so humble, this game is quite splendid if I do say so.

You need to be OK with some frustration. There's a lot of dice involved and one of the main challenges of mastering this game is learning and understanding in what order you want to do certain things.

Football with dice (7/10)

Its a funny game where you enjoy improving your team for the bloodiest ball possible hahaha

Campaign adds the various rules as you go, so the first couple of campaign games seem a bit off. But after you get to about the 4th game or so, things get pretty normal compared to what I'm used to.

I love this game, it is football but its more like an arena, you have hex's and player abilities to help you get to the other side and tackle them. The UI is just great on how they made this game.I do not know why people are trashing this game (if they do).
