SPORT1 Live : Duel was a very basic PvP online only quiz challenge game with static images and basic text questions. The whole thing could have been done in a web browser, there's no justification for this being launched on Steam in the first place, let alone left as a broken product intended to scam gamers.
For gameplay purposes, because the user interface for this game was mostly just 2D static text, it might as well be a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers on PC.
SPORT1 Live : Duel didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement was CA, but only around 13 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game.
The poor quality of this game was also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see that it's broken (and before it was broken, that it was basically a browser game) then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game was to be expected.
Unethically, the developers have left this on the Steam store in an unplayable and broken state. This is harmful to Steam and to gamers, because it takes a share of the marketing space and visibility away from other games. It's polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuine games and for genuine indie developers who put months or years into making proper games find an audience.
The developer is deliberately and unethically trying to scam gamers into paying them the far too high price of $3 USD for a game they know is broken. Don't give it to them.
This quiz is very exciting, informative! You can learn a lot of facts from the history of football. Besides you can play alone or with friends.
Crap game. Way too few questions. Not even worth the 2 bucks I've paid for it...
Unfortunately, I can't recommend the game since there is nobody to play against online.
