Frequent CTDs or freezes in game play make the game unplayable.
This is just a generally fun game. It's a worthy successor to the original Master of Orion. Not a fan of the jump point travel system, but I have learned to live with it. Diplomacy is solid, and I like the new take on the tech tree. It's a great way to spend time.
While this is not a perfect sequel to the original MoO game it is a decent game all own it's own. If you are craving for something like the original MoO with some simple upgrades, try Remnants of the Precursors; great game.
What a crappy game. Can't even do the tutorial. It says to do something, but it won't let you???
Its fun. Much better then MOO3, but not at good as MOO2

Sadly it's unplayable anymore with zero support from the company, researched that many people have similar complaints. So sad I was enjoying it so much. After few turns it just stops working...
Great graphics, great game play. Bit too easy on Normal difficulty.
Use to play the original game back in the day. This is the modern update and it’s awesome. All the great fun I used to have and much more. I recommend this game for anyone who likes a great turn base strategy game.

I loved the originals culminating in MoO 3, which i played a LOT.
These games were my go-to chill escapism and this remake brings back most of those memories w/ some nice updates.
I could pass on the GNN breaking news bots but that feature isn't a deal-breaker for me, giving me some dad-joke level lols.

Raw and a lot of bugs. Some mechanics doesnt work at all. Feeling nostalgic? Better play the original one
Excellent 4x. High quality.
The trouble this game had was that it was not as boundary breaking as some games are.
Then again, what it does it does excellent and of a exquisite quality.
Awesome 4X game. 1 and 2 are great too, this is identical to them with modern graphics.
What do I say about it, It pays homage to the original masters of Orion Game. I rather enjoyed it, if you like grand strategy games you will enjoy this game.

As someone who's pretty new to 4x games, I had a lot of fun with this one. Not too difficult to get into. Good graphics and cinematics make it immersive.

It took all the elements of the original games that i enjoyed and updated them.
I played this game a long time ago and thought, maybe it'll be better later. It isn't. The combat system is frankly awful. Nothing works the way you think it should. Nothing. The only nice things I can say about it is, it looks pretty, the animations are good, and the music is all right. Other than that, I found the game lackluster and a slog.
Good game. I played MOO1 and MOO2. This is a faithful remaster of those classics. I recomend it.
I bought this because I was a fan of the original game (25 years ago). While the game is good and while I am grateful that it got upgraded, I am facing persistent bugs in the endgame part of the game. That really reduces the enjoyment which is really a pity because I used to love this game. If they can fix these bugs, then I am willing to change my rating because I would love to love this game, but unf I can't

Excellent game of exploring, economy, technology and warfare.

I keep coming back to this game in Stellaris breaks forgetting why I stopped playing it.
I don't even want to go into the reasons why. Its just a boring game and now I'm sleepy because of it. I'm going to bed.
I do not recommend this.
It was nice attempt to refresh MOO2 and MOO3. However, due to multiple bugs the game-play rather annoying than joyful.
Structures disappearing on their own, fleet command is so buggy that it's absolutely not possible to control in manual mode. Most of the things are unbalanced random.
I even tried to return it. Unfortunately sTEAM policy is limit returns for 2h of playtime... and what is 2h for a strategy like MOO? - nothing )))
To conclude - don't waste time and money on this semi-finished product.

Great game for us genocidal maniacs lol
I love the game but wish they would update it to work on new mac os systems.
My biggest complaint about the game is that I cannot travel from an explored system to an explored system. I have to traverse a roundabout path through out of the way systems just to get to my destination system because the game has pathways between star systems just to make the galaxy look like a spiral or cluster.
You can research more advanced engines as the game goes on. But, eventually, you hit a point where it takes you 1 turn to reach the adjoining system. After that, your engine speed means absolutely nothing, because you have to travel from system to system, and can never take a direct route.
A great successor to Moo 2 (Moo 3 was terrible). Fans have been waiting decades for a suitable successor and here it is.

Not super deep, but some good fun.
Not super hard to learn either.
It can drag in some sections of the game, where your waiting many turns for some ships and buildings to build.
But for the price, its a very solid game.
Feels like a fine remake of MoO2. It really is more MoO2 with some fixes and better ideas - I don't like the tech tree idea, but the way you research a technology where it gives options but usually has a core benefit is a small but really helpful change. Visuals are nice, voice acting is fine, it does feel like they loved MoO2 as well.

Yeah everything in this game is real.
There are still several bugs to be worked on. The most common one I encountered over the past 2 days is the infinite processing turn. You are stuck in limbo, unable to view your ships and planets from the star map but can still access the icons across the top of your screen.
I like the fact that this game isn't an easy win. and it very customizable to my style of preferred gameplay. Has a decent AI to keep the game challenging.
aaagh it constantly changes the zoom by itself and the zoom controls are way too sensitive aargh
