The Riding Stables at Mill Creek are mere ruins, but you are about to change that: stables, riding hall and guesthouse are being renovated and guests will happily pay for their stay. Your earnings will help you to build a new breeding stable and soon cute little foals frolic on the pasture with their moms. Later you will train them and sell them to trustworthy customers. Other horse owners bring their horses to be massaged by your knowing hands.
You also have your own horse, of course, which, if the two of you trained enough, you take to various cross country races. Let’s win the Cup and make your dream come true!

I only played it for 30 minutes. The graphics are horrible and it is very difficult to move around in the game. There is only one camera angle and that makes it even more difficult to move around and see what is happening. The picture for this game makes it look way more realistic than it actually is. Don't buy unless you want a game that belongs many years ago.

I would definitely recommend it, it's one of the better horse games on steam at the moment - although that is unfortunately a very low bar. Of course, you should wait for a sale.
You run a whole stable just by yourself, and you have a limited time each day (8am-6pm). Gotta keep the horses clean, fed and relaxed, then the remaining time you can use for riding outside or for making money. There are four main ways to make money, which you unlock gradually. Training young horses (this minigame unfortunately gets old fast and doesn't give much money - but you can stop doing it soon), massaging horses (very profitable and fast!), breeding foals and booking in guests. The first three you can do twice every day, guests arrive about every hour near you house and you just book in as many as you manage to catch. The goal of the game is to have 4 stars - you have to unlock all buildings, win all races, have 9 horses (the max).
If you played the previous title, this one has some incredible improvements - you can speed up the time! Also the whole stables are much smaller, so you spend less time just running around. Otherwise the mechanics are similar, you look from above and click and point where you want to go.
I do greatly wish there were a few simple adjustments and they would make the game so much better.
- I wish the races increased the skills and strength of horses (currently only free trail riding does that). Unfortunately you have no incentive at all to play the race courses more than the one time it takes to win them, which is a HUGE shame.
- The horses could need their hooves cleaned a little less often, so the minigame doesn't get tedious.
- The foal training should have less targets (4-7) and give more money. It really gets boring fast.
- When buying a horse, you should be able to see their exact breed.
- The forest riding area needs more obstacles for increasing skills. I felt like I had no reason to go ride into the woods.
A few relatively minor things, but would make the experience a lot better. I wish there could be a mod for those.
All in all, I enjoyed it a lot (I did spend 34 hours going through the campaign, because I got into roleplaying - thinking up whole personalities and backstories for my horses etc.). I think you could probably do it within 10 hours, but I strongly encourage you do some roleplay as well!
This is a game of my childhood; I used to play it on the Wii as a little boy, and of course back then the graphics were amazing and the gameplay was phenomenal!
However, as I'm revisiting this game years later, there should be genuine honesty and good criticism in my review.
If I could give it 5 stars, I would give it three. The game concept is fun, as you renovate a run-down stable to it's former glory. At the same time, you take care of all your horses and win the many ''championships'' in the Fields, Woods and Mountains. Each region is unlocked seperately, all costing 1000 credits.
However, this game is very very grindy. You have to massage horses, train foals or breed client foals every day to earn these credits. Of course guests also generate income, however unless your guest-house is very high level it's barely anything at all. There's a limit on how much you can do the tasks each day, and each day is 8 hours long.
Tasks consume a fixed amount of time, but you'll find as you progress this game more and more; time is money, and you will have to take care of 9(!) horses every single day. You clean their hooves, and groom them and feed them as well so they don't get sick. At the same time they will get extremely stressed due to the guests, which is a horrible system. You will constantly have to massage it or bring it to paddock, and then your rating will go down.
Horses not squeaky clean = Immediate star loss.
They get very dirty from standing around in their stalls all day, and cleaning them constantly is very VERY tedious. I only could get through these tasks watching YouTube because it's just so goddamn boring. You spend a whole ingame day cleaning the horses, and the next day they are almost completely dirty again or have some other problem you have to fix. Guests have to be booked in manually so they'll bug you by standing around your house until you talk to them. If only there wasn't such little time and the fast-forward button wasn't so slow, I wouldn't have ignored so many of them.
Tedious tasks are what keeps the game ''alive''. You're forced to do these to complete it, as to say get a 4 star rating. As soon as this is done, the game is complete in a sense as there's nothing to do for your tasks or career anymore. There's not much point in playing unless you grind more credits to get all the cosmetics. I have had to spend so much time walking my slow horses to the massaging barn and then bringing them back to the stable.
You get 9 horses at the last stage of the game, but they barely do anything. Guest A.I is dogwater and they seem to only choose the same horses each time, resulting in some just being there for decoration, it seems like. I liked the riding aspect, and the different places you could go to. But you're not gonna train all 9 of your horses. Probably just the one you got from the beginning.
Long story short, the game is way too grindy and the tasks are overbearingly boring. Quality of life is bad, I feel like a stablehand would be much better or the horses wouldn't get dirty so fast. I think the price should be more akin to 5 or 7 euros, due to the age of this game and the content within it. The graphics and horses are fine, nothing too exciting looking and not too ahead of it's time. I got to completing this in 15 hours (of free time I might add!)
Should you buy this? Maybe if it's on sale, or if this game is nostalgia for you. Would I replay this game? Absolutely not. A fun little memory I hope it will be. Thank you for reading.

very very cute relaxing game, it's pretty slow but its fun! i love the cute minigames like the hoof picking one its my favorite. if you want a cute game where you fix up a stable and take care of horses i'd rec this game. personally i dont ride the horses too much i like just doing the jobs like foal training and massaging the horses lol. ive put in 5hrs and my barn is still only 2* i thinkkk so just keep that in mind. i did get a little confused in the beginning though
