Divertido pra caramba... Eu joguei muito disso na minha infância.
For nostalgia enjoyers.
For anyone new controls are god tier bad, multiple displays fucks up mouse, couple crashes, instant 0 to 100 gameplay afk first 15 sec and it snowballs out your control but the simple gameplay is fun.
Throwing one dollar on sale reasonable, one can only hope it goes to the actually devs.
Fine game
A classic RTS from the mid-to-late 1990s. Does it hold it today? Somehow. The controls are a bit "special" sometimes but it is overall still a fun bout. The pixel graphics hold up quite nicely and the chaotic energy of the game is still alive and well.
Get it in a sale.
Good old game.
I had nostalgia for this game from a long time ago, and thought I would pick it up when I found it very cheap in a sale. I don't so much regret my purchase, because it was dirt cheap, but I regret my time spent with this game.
A lot of older games require some forgiveness, especially when it comes to things like dodgy graphics or ropey physics, but even despite that this game is unfortunately an exercise in pure frustration. This is due to two key problems:
1) Broken AI/pathfinding: It's not just bad, it's broken. Half the time you tell units to move somewhere they will either not move at all, or will decide to take an illogically long route to what at times should be a straight line. This is especially a problem when telling units to attack other units, because even if they are in range they will often (more than half the time) simply stand around, get shot and die.
2) Terrible inconsistency: Compounding the problem of units that won't shoot, you then have the issue that shots themselves (especially from tanks) are horribly inconsistent. Not only do the amounts of damage seem inconsistent (which alone is forgivable, to give an element of RNG to things), but the ability of a unit to hit another unit is wildly inconsistent. A heavy tank will happily destroy a light tank with a single shot, but sometimes the opposite will happen because the heavy tank will simply miss the light tank over and over. This is also true with robots against tanks, as robots will sometimes explode instantly, but sometimes seem indestructible. On top of all this, the problem seems to go into overdrive if you're not actually witnessing a battle, and I wonder if the game even calculates off-screen interactions correctly at all. When you set up a few guns as a line of defence, and then return a minute later to find an enemy tank has somehow appeared on the other side of them unscathed with your guns similarly untouched, you have to question what really happened.
I would like to see this game remastered or perhaps more appropriately remade, as I think there is room for a game of this nature that plays at this pace (the game is quite slow but the more relaxed pace has the opportunity to give way to more strategy), but as it exists now I can't suggest spending any time with it, not even for free with nostalgia.
All right! Yeah! Nice one! Yeah! Excellent! Yeehaw!
Single player version of the game. Very simple and easy to learn, hence very addictive. Shame there is no Multiplayer or Skirmish modes.
5/5 star
DONT WORK
ONLI WIDIO PLAY WHEN FINIS GAME ITC CLOSING
major res problem. my copy is totalled, broken. irreparable. corrupted. loved the game back in the day. a lot of people get lucky sorting the res, for me i fixed it, and broke some thing else. when realistically should not of been some thing i should of been dealing with to begin with. so its a no.
