MODES:
- Quickstart Game - get to play quickly with predefined team and weapon set against AI (Wormbots).
- Training - host different disciplines in which to train. You work against the clock.
- Missions - ranged between easy and hard. Custom terrains for won missions unlock for normal games.
- Time Attack - Missions but with different ways to complete them. The player must figure out which one is the fastest.
- Deathmatch challenge – similar to normal games. Player take on a number of computer teams in an ever-increasing spiral of difficulty. Rewards given to high ranked teams.

I don't know how many hours I put into this game as a child on my brick PC and CD discs. Nostalgia can never be beaten!
This game is broken (This game is not the only one is having that issues) due to major bug issues that hasn't been fixed since it first released.
Not sure if this one or Armageddon was my fave, but this version is definitely NOT remastered. An insane amount of artifacts, issues, bugs, glitches... you have to disable fullscreen optimisations (right click w2.exe, properties, compatibility tab) just to get rid of white boxes.
On three seperate computers this game always overlays text boxes and other graphic gremlins which make the game unplayable. Sadface. Please fix.
Its really really buggy and crashes
ITS PURE fun
Worms world party is just like the old entries captures the same kind of game play but is really nice. For some reason i have a bug getting the resolution right and it doesn't go full screen and i did scroll through and see multiple people facing the same issue. Devs should indeed get the fix to people as they pay money to get this game. Not Recommending for the new players as the bug is game-breaking!!!
If you get a lot of lag when there are fire effects (embers), do this to reduce the lag:
Right-click on the game in steam
Manage...
Browse local files
Go to "Data" folder
Go to "Wav" folder
Go to "Effects" folder
Delete or cut and paste elsewhere the "SIZZLE" sound file
Go to "Remastered" folder
Delete or cut and paste elsewhere the "SIZZLE" sound file
Note that this will remove the sound when the embers are burning. This reduced the "fire lag" by 50% for me.

As others have said, this doesn't work on any modern PC due to comaptibility issues. It is not REMASTERED at all, it's the same game that was released decades ago and now computers and operating systems it was made for are obsolete and the code wasn't updated. Don't bother, it is a scam.
Works just fine. Brings back memories, very glad they did a remaster
Right off the bat I noticed graphical glitches when the game was displaying the different team configuration menus, but when I went to change my team member's names, there was a glitch so bad that half of the screen was blacked out, this is always present. After some quick testing I'm uninstalling, a shame I bought this a while back and didn't test it in time to refund it.
Do not buy this game, it's just broken and will not work properly in any modern operating system. Even if you go all the steps of the support from team17 page, game won't work properly. Depening on your hardware it won't even start, i needed to force it to integrated graphics for it just to start, and even then it barely works.
Remastered my ass, feels like an ms-dos game that you can't manage it to work, don't do this to yourself even if it's a beloved game like it is for me.
Oh and the game has been in this state since forever now, don't expect a patch from lazy ass developers that only want the quick money and don't care they sell a game that doesn't work.
did not work, wigged out whole computer and after getting it to actually open it was non functional and there were overlays and windows blocking everything from view.

THIS GAME MESSED UP MY PC!!!! I can't even turn my PC off properly, my apps aren't working properly anymore, it was a waste of time and money. Spent 25 minutes trying to play it and it wouldn't work. My suggestion is don't buy it!
It did not work for me. I got the "White boxes" visual artefacts obstructing my view. None of the suggested solutions worked on my Intel IrisXe machine.
Broken on launch, need immediate fixes and hacks to run even one legged. Worms Armaggedon runs fine, not need to tinker with this corpse.

is a ok game
A remaster which needs tinkering just to properly show on screen, and doesn't work out of the box. I would rather call this a cash grab instead. Another classic ruined.
