Cool ideas, but the game is a kinda jank. The controls in particular are very awkward. It's already gotten tedious. I'll give the sequel a try and see if they improved.

This game has sooo many awesome elements to it I dont know where to begin. So ill just say BUY IT
In recalling my experience playing this several years ago...
On the surface this is one of those games that seem's pretty straightforward and easy to play. Once you get into it you learn how hard it can be because the enemies are numerous and can get quite tanky in certain situations. As a result you can't just stroll in and shoot and blow up everything you see. You need to be smart about when to fight, who to fight, who to blow up, and when to retreat vs. outright run away. Mix that with the fact that you need to scavenge resources during the mission in order to have enough supplies to survive, plus the fact that you can't always clear all the objectives, it can make for a chaotic experience that's quite satisfying at the same time. Not to mention team composition when it comes to the different classes/loadouts you can select from while trying to take into account how well it will synergize with the rest of your team.
I remember having a whole lot of fun trying to coordinate in coop without voice chat and lead teams through to a successful extraction. Patience and discipline go a long way to making it out of a mission alive. So many matches lost because of getting greedy with objectives or sloppy with explosives and ammo.
Shame the isometric view horde extraction games aren't as popular as 1st/3rd person ones. Either way, this game is definitely underrated in that regard.
Definitely for fans of 40K and Alien.
This is a pretty fun game. It's not a AAA title and there is some jank, but for $10 full price, its worth it. The campaign difficulty ramps up pretty quickly and its a nice challenge. There is also a survival mode that I haven't spent a lot of time in but it's pretty fun. If you're on the fence, its cheap and worth your time.
My favorite part of the game is how it is unplayable on my AMD graphics card. The next best part is how the devs abandoned it. Dont buy it.
