I really loved this game back when I played it on my PS2, so I decided to play it again on PC. I don’t know why, but I used to really enjoy it, but the controls on PC aren’t as smooth as I remember—they feel a bit weird. Still, it’s a great game that brings back so many memories.
Played long time ago, then it got released didn't finish back then, so I thought myself I give another try but game aged horribly it looks bad, plays bad, feels bad and with such high mouse sensitivity impossible to play normally
GOOD AF
this lowkey put me on some banger albums hehe but dont tell nobody
like if gta and jsr had a love child. I'd play more, but this game is a product of its time and feels pretty clunky
alright right off the bat, it's broken and buggy but what can be expected of a game this old, how ever its fun for the brief time (time played 9 hours so far) i have played i have found it an amazing game with a great story that keeps, at times you will get frustrated with things but its worth it
The best graffiti game I've ever played, great story, I recommend it to everyone who likes graffiti, the only complaint is the poor camera movement
Good
I played it as a kid and thought I would get it as it was on sale. Mark Ecko's Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure is a great story and concept that is unfortunately stuck within a genuinely horrible gaming experience. The controls and camera angles are by far the worst that I've seen in any game ever. The graffiti painting is just a bit more in-depth that the spray tagging in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The fighting is frustrating, with broken animations where enemies go from being on the ground to standing and attacking instantly. The jumping and climbing challenges are on rails which in this case is a good thing since they would be completely impossible given the game controls. By the time you beat the game you would have probably spent over an hour total just fighting with the controls and camera angles. Walking and turning the wrong way while balancing on beams, getting stuck on the terrain and objects while running, getting hit by cars because you can't point the camera in the right direction... In the end, this is a cult classic game and might be worth it if you get it on sale 90% off but otherwise it's not. I would love the be able to give this a good review because the story and concept is great but unfortunately the game part kinda sucks.
The game runs poorly. The camera movement feels oddly inverted, requiring me to manually invert both the X and Y axes. The mouse sensitivity is too high, and I got stuck during the first combat tutorial where the game asks you to hold Mouse Button 1. It doesn’t register me holding the button at all. Doesnt Work on Steam Deck.
cool

I think I like the game
a lot of memories a lot of fun 🤝
I like it. The only annoying bug is the mouse speed. Check the guides to fix it. Launcher fixes a lot of issues, but the mouse introduces the mouse speed bug.
old school fun
super broken but a great idea
love the enviorment
Fixing all the controls for ds4 controller is a mess, but its so worth it! Love this game
3.2 hrs - I have refunded it once and thought about doing it twice... Playing on the mouse and keyboard is painful... Doable but painful. I don't want to connect my brand new pad just for this game but I may as I remember it was much more fun playing on the console back in the day/ It is a mediocre game at best. It is a very unique one though. If you ever had any contact or interested in the graffiti scene, you will find it somehow relaxing. At 90% off sale, it is okay. Super clunky on M&K but still somehow enjoyable. You are basically beating some locals, painting and exploring the city. The music's is nice and there's story to follow as well. I really may connect my new pad just for this game. I don't know... it just feels off playing on M&K. Especially, paining... You hold scroll lock button, and spray with MB1 or MB2 but you move round with WSAD. Akward as fck... I will keep coming back to it when I want something more relaxing and with some nice urban aesthetics/ It's definitely has a place in my arsenal of games for different moods/
cant wait to play it
It just crashes when I try to start a new game.
IT FUN
perfect game!
This is one of the best games I have ever played. It is literally the game of my childhood, I reallly want a sequel(as a movie or part 2 of the game, I don't care)
Best Game ever Made been playing since a kid
needs a 2nd game , its the only graff game thats decent jet set radio dont count
very good game, however crashes a lot so beware
Amazing gameplay,
Amazing music,
Amazing cutscenes and graffiti design
Amazing voice acting
But
What the f**k is with the jiggling camera on fixed angles?
What the f**k is with this controls on Mouse and keyboard? Shift + Space + LMB for a stealth knockout? Why?
What the f**k is with the controller support?
What the f**k is with the modern systems compatibility? Why the graphics is flickering if I don't alter files in the game folder?
The ps2 days, one of the best games made for it.
One of my childhood game , absolutely love it ! Im still playing it on my PS2 and would love à remake/remaster on courent console !!!
this game is madd str8 jam this game
Very good graffiti game never gets old.
Not bad so far, fun at times, annoying/tedious at other times, controls are pretty annoying/difficult, but it's much easier to play with controller.
Tagging over and over again is getting a bit boring, but I guess that's what this game is all about after all lol.
Good early 2000's vibes off this game takes me back to Dreamcast/Xbox era times, although I never played this game back then, I had heard about it and thought it looked cool. I was aged around 13 or 14 at the time, was into skateboarding and I was very "Americanized" growing up here in the UK, watching Jack-a$$, X-games etc, lots of american skateboard videos and tony hawks games etc. Really good times man, the world/people were different.

nostalgia 10/10
its good with a few mods to bring back the console button inputs. classic.
op 20 i my list
best game-cameron
The controller support is terrible. There is not a button for every action, so it's unusuable. The keyboard/mouse controls are also terrible. I played this back in the day on console. The gameplay was never very good, but at least it was functional. Now the game is basically unplayable. Also, I originally played this as a little kid, so I didn't realize how cringe the story is. Playing it now... wow it's bad. The plot, the characters, the voice action, etc. it's all terrible.
Even for nostalgia gamers that don't care about the other aspects, the broken controls alone make this a hard pass. The other bad elements just reinforce that. For anyone else, there are much, much better games out there.
can't get enough of this game.
Great game for writers of all kinds and teaches you some history
If you were a writer in your previous life, or enjoyed getting shitfaced w your mates, cutting some holes and hitting some steel, this is for you. Janky as hell: the environment textures have observable gaps, enemies can disappear from your line of sight behind a bush. It's low tier what one wood expect from a retro game. THE JUMPING ACROSS ROOF RAFTER/PIPES/SCAFFOLDING IS INCREDIBLY TEDIOUS. Quite fun if you were/are into graf, but the last 6 levels are ridiculously 'get me out of here'. First half of game is pretty cool, second half is nearly abysmal. 6.5-10. Buy it as cheap as you can find it if you must.
Oh, and don't forget the controller mods, there is a couple that expect you to pay for them. But, one bro has put the config file modification scripts in the community hub, which is what i used and recommend (free).
loved it, ima play it again rn
A game that brings back so much nostalgia for me. got a copy back in my youth for ps2 with a pair of sneakers. when i seen it on here i had to add it to my library. A must play if you are into graffiti.
Perfection.
