Haven't played a ton of this cute yet challenging little Cthulhu world Roguelite, and it's been a long time since I have played it, but I remember enjoying it a lot. So definitely a recommend for fans of Roguelites and/or Cthulhu Mythos.

Honestly, I can't recommend this game enough. It has an elegant complexity beneath the simplistic presentation. It's a game that has more to it than initially meets the eye. You really can approach the game in many different ways and it's not overly challenging. The immersive sim elements are great, they aren't the most in-depth, but they do allow for many different approaches to the game.
Roguelike FPS' are a genre I've been interested in for a while and this is the most approachable one I've tried. The dungeon-generation never seemed to screw anything up and the layouts were always varied and unique. Exploration is fun and rewarding as many items you might find can be immensely helpful. I liked that you could acquire items and a spell that allowed you to place barrier blocks and destroy blocks with bullets or a pickaxe. Shaping the level to avoid mazes or using keys along with trapping monsters in blocks combined with the other immersive-sim elements is really cool.
Some of the item combinations and gameplay are almost metroidvania-like. This game has tons of charm and is lots of fun to jump into and learn. It's not very frustrating or particularly difficult, but it's not devoid of challenge. The new-game-plus should help those who want more of a challenge. I personally tire of overly frustrating games now that I have so much less time to game.
I'll definitely be jumping into this game again sometime to get the good ending, achievement hunt (not 100%), possibly attempt ng+ and the asylum achievement. For the modest asking price, there's a lot to enjoy and plenty of replayability, even if an initial playthrough doesn't take especially long.

Completely forgot about this game for a decade, and I had a pleasant time rediscovering it. It's a nice change of pace from modern day rogue-likes, the focus is way more on careful exploration and low level decision making. It feels like a precursor to games like Barony. There's a surprising amount of drama/suspense in its gameplay, and the atmosphere feels pretty rich despite its cutesy aesthetic.
Definitely recommended if you're looking for a lightweight, atmospheric dungeon crawler. Wish there was a sequel!
Gameplay is nothing special, nor is it particularly scary for an Eldritch horror game. But the levels are fun to explore. I do wish there were more weapon/gear/power up options. Worthwhile if it's on sale.
It's a pretty great game. It's a little too easy until you beat it for the first time and unlock NG+, then it becomes soooo much better.

Very weak recommendation. Mostly there as "worth sampling". FPS Rougelite.
As a game called "Eldritch", it doesn't really do enough with source material. The mood is not there, the story is cookie cutter, no drama. It could be easily any other monster setting.
It does however try to bring more immersive sim elements there. Throwing damaing rocks that bounce off enemies and hit you, that also create attractive sound on impact. Either rushing past enemies or sneaking around. Doors, some locked, that can be destroyed. The levels are made from blocks alike Minecraft, with that Dungeon Keeper warping going on visually, which is mostly used when you decide to create a path with TNT. Pickaxes, grappling hooks. Enemies, like statues that hit you if they first notice you (you can sneak past them without activating!) or scary melee monsters that can't reach if you are pull yourself up a platform. And I do like how levels are blocked out.
So a lot of good elements. But the game designer did not cook the meal. It's barely a salad. There is no in-game progression appeal, you don't level up in substantial way. Everything feels predictable. You can rush past most enemies. You can knife most enemies. You can end up getting a build going where you get tons of bullets to shoot and kill everything you see on your way. This sucks, I feel no vibe, just a chore of a game.
You unlock New Game+ that ups the challenge but at this point I've seen all the worlds, you should have made it harder from a get go. And I still feel no vibe.
Until I played a free expansion pack Mountain of Madness campaign which is very stingy on resource, and oh, that actually works. At the deep levels I actually was sneaking around. In environment that is darker, vibe. Afraid of these monster crabs that were too good at melee. Ammo limited. Weaker enemies carrying selves around I can kill but that would aggro. Using flames to distract. Pulling self up height advantage. Yea, oh. You should have made a game like that instead.
So iunno. Don't buy this. But I am pleased I got to sample it.
