this game cant load or save i try follow guidance from developer to fix this problem but didnt work

I loved Stronghold Legends when I was a young kid playing on a disk in my laptop. I LOVED reliving that game with new features and maps with Stronghold Crusaders 2! What I loved the most about Stronghold Legends, however, is the different types of kings, creating brand new architecture and overall vibe, something I haven't been able to replicate in this game. Still a fantastic game :)

Aside from the fact that a lot of the mission are far unbalanced, to top it all off I just played one where there are this archers in my base that I click to attack yet my troops dont ever attack them. And yes, you guessed it right, the archers can attack me.

Graphics are god awful, and no, I don't mean old, they are way way worse than the original strongholds, it has no spirit to it.
Spent more time trying to quit the game rather than playing it cuz it was crashing my entire pc.
Idk how this many people gave it a positive review but here we are,

If they'd refund me and give me 5 bucks on top of it, I might consider playing through the campaign.

I played this games on various platforms since its begininnings. Still my go to if I need simple fun. :)

Actually i really like this game, but currently i felt so lag when i played this game. I use Ryzen 5 7640 HS RTX 4060, Is there any tips to fix this probem? if not i hope FireFly should optimise this game!.

I bought this game on sale for a few bucks along with a few other older Stronghold games. This one gets a bit of hate from the OG players but lemme tell you. I AM HOOKED.

Hands down my favorite RTS game so far besides R.U.S.E..

The castle defense mechanics are awesome all the while growing your Kingdom, collecting wood, mining resources, growing food, and running your market.

The learning campaign and Skirmish Trails are a blast. I'd almost recommend getting the DLC as I did not, and I'm nearly done with the trails after 30+ hours. I need more so I will be gettting the DLCs soon for sure.

The custom map maker is very intuitive and easy to learn. I've made 2 maps so far for me and my buddy to co-op against AI and it is a blast.

Definately worth the few bucks on sale. Amazing game :D

Great fun with alot of replay.

The content is lacking compared to its predecessor. I don’t understand how this game is supposed to be an improved version. There are animation issues and path bugs. Overall, I still prefer the first version.

Horrible! The AI opponents cheat as they have unlimited resources and no production facilities standing. This isn't like the first Stronghold Crusader in which you can use famine to bleed the AI opponents dry.

Therefore cheat too. I did using cheat engine and cheat tables. Fair is fair as is my review.

Literally the best game to buy for sale . It was 3 dollars , but honestly , i would pay 100 for this one . Such a great game , even my friend likes it who never played these kind of games before .

It seemed strange it's asking me to write a review for a game I never recall playing.
But after purchasing it again and playing for 10 mins it dawned on me why I asked for refund first time.

Text is way too small to read, having limited space for certain things is annoying and the game is just worse than the 1st one all-around.

This game has no soul and is only a shadow of its predecessor Stronghold Crusader 1. Don't know what happened here but I cannot recommend it.

i really like this game, but it keeps crashing after 15min

I was expecting it to be somewhat like Stronghold 2 with it's many buildings and all that, also the way the troops moves was disappointing. It uses recycled voice lines and the graphics looked like a bad mobile game. I got it on sale, so I'm not out on money for this but very disappointed in the way the game is. If you're looking for it to be like the previous ones, it's really not.

It is a shame that the houses and inns are not used as the first crusader, but it is still fun.

Beat all the skirmish trials and campaign. One of the better strategy games I've played, still holds up pretty well today save the AI is pretty linear and easy to gimmick. Managing gigantic horse archer armies is one of the funnest things I've ever done in a game. Creative freedom in castle building also good.

Also beat Princess & Pig and Khan & Jackal DLCs, each had decent campaign and Khan especially a fun opponent, but really wish they had considered adding new units in them. Not worth unless on sale + you just want new missions to trudge through.

All in all, 8.5/10.

bought the game. Played for 2 hours - everything was nice. Today i launched steam and pressed "Play" and game didn't launched.

I tried to reinstall the DirectX and C++ libraries, reinstalled the game, trice, on different discs. Took the partition in bets (aka win11fix). Nothing had worked.

Such a pity that this trouble exist quite long time, and still there is no solid solution on the web. I'm really disappointed that i couldn't play the game nor with my friend nor solo campain

4/10. I'm surprised this game has mostly positive reviews. It runs poorly, the UI is barely improved from previous games, and the graphics customization is limited. I'm disappointed in it. It felt like a cash grab when they released it 10 years ago, and in those 10 years they haven't done anything to improve it. If it wasn't for the nostalgia, this game would get 1/10.

Good light hearted fun. In many ways simpler to play than original stronghold title, but still challenging to balance, defend and win.

The game is not starting right after the Windows update! Please help us and fix it.

everything good about stronghold 2 and crusader smashed together. This is the only thing passed the OG and crusader that actually landed.

Army size in skirmish mode is a joke. Not worth buying if you plan on using skirmish mode.

It's Dec 2024 please do a Stronghold Crusader 2 Remastered for 4K Graphics.
Also please solve Failed to initialize the engine
I'm not a fan of editing game files to run it in windowed mode.

Fun Game Wish Stronghold Still Made Games.

This review will basically help you whether to buy this game or not , however , although I am recommending this game , am going to be neutral mentioning both good and bad aspects of this game genuinely .
I have spent 100+ Hours on this game before I write this review , so please before you agree or disagree with me , try to complete reading this review.

First of all , lets compare this game to the first version of it which is Stronghold Crusader 1.

-Clearly , since it has been released in 2014 , this game is in 3D and has a better amazing graphics , you can zoom too close to the objects and can see them clearly in a good view.
-New lords and sounds in the game which makes it more fun.
-You can set a rally point for the army to go to it once they are produced.
-It has exactly the same buildings but in more realistic view , there\\\'s a Market now which lets u auto-sell and buy good on a limit you choose , instead of spamming mouse click to sell and buy allot of goods.
-There are no trenches anymore , which makes the game more possible unlike the sc1 where you can dig a trench all over your castle and block the enemy from entering it.
-You can now put your siege equipment at a point close to the enemy instead of those workers who u integrate with the equipment to make it work.
-They added allot of new troops in both Arab and Crusader army. Like for example the healer which makes u heal your army , Rangers , sergeants at arms,,, etc.
-Easier managment for the economy and goods from the panel on the top right of the screen to get more taxes. it tells you how much you produce and consume.
-A new feature of occupying free lands in the map to take goods from them , wasn’t in SC1.

I got destroyed by the AIs so hard that i refunded the game. 10/10
