Love playing this, even solo! I remember playing this back on the 360, would recommend this game! Wish they still made games like this
A very linear mix between a hack-and-slash and cover shooter. Here are some things to note:
- You play alongside an AI companion and can take control of either during levels
- Both characters have a melee and ranged weapon and regularly acquire new equipment and armor
- Both characters have access to magic attacks for crowd control and heavily armored enemies
- There is a level editor for creating custom matches with a variety of maps and enemy types
- The story is quite generic but the dialogue and banter between characters is decent
- There are a few puzzles spread throughout the game, though nothing too difficult
- Multiplayer is officially shut down but you can use 3rd party services to host matches
[*]Semi-spoiler, but if you want to avoid the bad ending then DON'T DRINK THE SLEG! Not even once.
It's not a bad game for the price they're charging. I played it sometime in 2023 and over a year later found myself wanting to play it again, which is rare. I recommend it if you're looking for a casual fantasy game that'll take around 13-14 hours to complete.
Very good game. I'd played this game before(PS3) and it was fun. Melee battles a little bit clunky, but bow fights is ok. Chemistry between E'lara and Caddoc is my favorite kind of relationships. Story is decent and i think devs draw some inspiration from LotR to worldbuild.
This is a weird third person shooter and melee hybrid where both shooting and melee combat sucks. Coop would’ve been the saving grace of this game but unfortunately, coop no longer works. The only thing I will remember from this game is the elf’s tan lines. Please give more playable characters visible tan lines, it’s really hot.
Quality game. Surprisingly stable for an early 2010's console port.
There's multiple endings making it worth playing again. Buy it on sale if you want a solid 10 hour single player game with decent ranged and melee combat.
Linear progress, dull story, dull fight experience, good graphics but not advanced.
I took 12 hours to pass the, but got bored after 3 hours. Do not expect anything special from it.
Graphics is really rough & outdated. It would a pain if a pain if elara wasn't pleasant to look at. Otherwise gameplay is good & entertaining. Nothing to complain. I tried my best not to drink the chalice but it happen on accident & the game don't have manual save, so I just carry on & have lame ending. Might try again some other time.
It is not a bad game, it is not a good game. This game is from the era where there were simply mediocre games. And it is a mediocre fantasy slasher game. There are some tedious moments, some trash moments, but overall it is simply OK.
A fairly solid if different fantasy third person cover based shooter. I have fun every time I pick this game up. I know it is not going to be for everyone but I think the majority of people would have a decent time with it.

Only buy this during a major sale. The game itself is quite mixed but still a fun adventure.
Pros:
1. Fun Co-op
2. The shooting mechanic is quite fun. The bow automatically targets a nearby enemy even if you don't zoom into the sights.
3. The Magic is quite fun to play around with
4. An arena mode where you can customise your experience
5. The banter between the two characters is quite fun
Cons:
1. Lackluster story
2. Lack of exciting music and is not memorable
3. No point in collecting gold as there's no merchant. It only works to increase damage, arrow capacity and such once you've reached a threshold.
4. Not many variety in weapons
5. Boss fights can be frustrating as they keep summoning minions.
6. No invincibility frames when dodging
7. Once an enemy combos you, you can't dodge until the combo ends. You're stuck there for a while
8. No inventory. Can't store health or magic potions
9. Some sections are too dark to see anything
Don't buy this if you're expecting borderlands mixed with fantasy. Buy this if you like cover shooter with magic
Its a fine if slightly janky action adventure. But some parts were too dark too see much even with brightness all the way up.
I absolutely LOVE this game. I love games you can play solo. The AI Bot is good, and helps you out. I can't believe this game is that old and still looks very good. The voice acting is really good. The male character sounds a lot like Jason Statham, so bonus points for that. The dungeon dwellers are mice and varied and the quests are fun. Honestly, this is one of my favorite third person Dungeon Crawlers. I can't get enough. I'd love the developers to make a sequel! It kept me engaged all the time. I didn't want to put it down. It never crashed. I can't say enough positive things about it. I got the game for $1.49 on sale, and it's the best money I ever spent. Even at $4.99 it's totally worth it. I would've paid $29.99 for it, it's that good.
