It was a great game when it came out and even now after all these years it's still a great game with many hours of excitement for you
good game really cool if doenst work then go on nexus mod and get the intel bypass mod and watch a tutorial on how to do it and it should work
ive played since it came out, more than 40 hours obvsly. Never stopped playing (couple breaks in between obsvly). You wont be disapointed or somes mods will soothe whats wrong.

A freaking classic! Its definetly not like the other 3d games but damn its still good! It walked so New Vegas and F04 could run. I love the vaults, and the setting is great! Letting the player start exploring right out the vault is awesome! Overall, an amazing Open World shooter! A must play of the series! And dont even get me started on the story and lore of the game!

This is my second favorite fallout game by far. I love the map as I lived in Washington D.C for a good portion of my life, and this game brings me some nostalgia. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking to play an exciting open world experience.

Fallout 3 mannnn...iconic and elegant post-apocalyptic RPG game :3, it offers you an immersive open-world experience filled with deep storytelling, meaningful choices, and freakin unforgettable characters...Really fell in love with all of them, The Capital Wasteland is a hauntingly beautiful place to explore, with greatt environmental details and mind blowing quests, Their V.A.T.S. combat system adds a good strategic layer to the action, and that demn retro-futuristic atmosphere is perfectly complemented by a memorable and a masterpiece soundtrack, Whoever made the soundtrack and music of it deserves much appreciations..While the graphics and mechanics show their age ofcourse as it was literally released in 2008, the game’s charm and depth make it a timeless classic with its like 26 endings i guess? A must-play for RPG fans! 10/10 Bethesda and obsidian Cooked hard :3

Aged really bad tho, the story is... a typical low effort Bethesda. But the set of the universe, the hiden stuff, the darkness, the characters, the jokes !...
I basically grew up watching my father playing it, and it gave me the fallout joy, I played Every fallout and its still the best, not as hardcore role-playing as the first one and with the 2010 Bethesda glory sauce (not the recent crap corporate Bethesda).
Highly recommend give-it a try ! You wont ¹regret it !

Absolutely classic game and you will enjoy the game for sure 100%
PC version rules as long as you can get it to run. I've only ever had problems with the physical disk version. Runs super well even in the high NPC areas. The DLC's run a little slow, The Pitt being the worst of them. PC is worth it for the mods at least.
I love this game so much. I recommand to get the Operation:Anchorage DLC too because gives you the best Power Armor.
The style, atmosphere, mechanics, and story sold me into Fallout 3. I absolutely love how it looks and feels. The fact that "Radio Stations" were introduced to this franchise starting here was a really smart move. Crusing down city ruins, fighting mutated creatures while listening to "Dear Hearts and Gentle People" is really good.
However, the downsides to Fallout 3 are that Fallout 3 hasn't received updates which help smooth the gameplay experience meaning that Fallout 3 will likely run very poorly and often crash. Sometimes the game will either freeze when loading a event or just break when interacting with an NPC. However, these bugs can be fixed with the power of Mods.

First and last Bethesda style game I play. An RPG for people who never played another RPG before.
Difficulty is a joke. Too hard in the beggining and trivial by level 20.
Utterly unfinished game, but they had the nerve to make 5 expansions for it! Finish the main game first, you bums!
At the beggining of the game you are sent by a character to contact their family. You find out a lot about them and even rescue a relative from vampires, and the character who sent you never asks or even comments about it again. Doesn't care. No reaction.
In another part you find a family of cannibals, you kill the parents and rescue their kids. The granpa promises to lie to the children about their parents deaths, but the kids are playing outside over their parents corpses!
You get hunted by criminals sent by some boss, you find the boss living in his own building, murder all of his men, try to talk to him to find out why is he trying to kill you. No reaction, no recognition, nothing. You kill him and that's it. Who was that? Was there a story behind all of what happened? Who knows.
Your first and really only mission after beggining the game is NOT TO FOLLOW a specific person. Since every mission gives enough XP to level up twice or more, you'll be in level 20 wondering how to keep trying not to follow that person even when the game contradicts itself and keeps mentioning even on the radio you're looking for that person. You surrender and go looking for the person you are not supposed to be looking for, you find the person who immediately asks you to follow them! You follow them from one extreme of the map to the other and it becomes ridiculous. A friend told me you're not supposed to follow them then like you are asked to! You are supposed to do the opposite you are asked to do once again and just fast travel to where the person is headed. That's when I stopped playing. This is like an anti-player game. The game follows some kind of agenda and doesn't care about any decisions the player make.
This is crappy RPG design at its most infurating.

Its a pretty good game. Its not as good as fallout 1 or 2, but its still lends an enjoyable experience. Bethesda did a good job making a sequel to fallout 2
Get some bug fixes, and have some fun. Fallout: New Vegas is a much better game (with bug fixes), but this is also good (it also requires bug fixes).
It's a great game, bit outdated in a few ways but it still is fun.

I added like 40-50 mods to make it more alive ,and it semi worked ,Its just too old id focus on newer games with stronger engines and better graphics ,for returning players i guess you can give it an try but i personally wont play old games again

I feel like this installment in the Fallout franchise is pretty hit or miss for most people. This was the first game I played in the series and I love it. I can understand if it’s a bit outdated for some, but once you learn the mechanics, it’s really not a problem. This is a near perfect game 9.5/10
I know this is an older game, but...Most of today's games are to hard for a retired person(like me). I'm either not agile enough, or the plot is to complicated. Fallout 3 has a nice balance.
Worst fallout ever made. Dont waste your money on this dumpster fire of a game. When it does 'just work' its a terrible story, empty af, and still buggy. Awful map design and awful story. Running this on a 9700k/128gb ram/2070gpu laptop and get crashes all the dayum time. But even if I run it on my i9/4090 desktop, it will still crash - which shows its just the game and not the hardware. Sometimes it will even completely lock up the system when it crashes, forcing a hard shut down of the system. Avoid the headache and disappointment and just get something else.
Timeless and shameless. A masterpiece.
