In the game you will take over the role of the intergalactic adventurer and war hero Keith T. Maxwell. Catapulted 35 years into the future by a malfunction of his hyperdrive, he suddenly awakens at at the far end of the galaxy, where he quickly finds himself fighting for his life against a mysterious alien armada that is wreaking havoc on the warring races occupying this volatile sector of space. Despite his efforts to return home, Keith is drawn into a deadly plot to investigate and stop this alien menace. Beware. This game requires an Internet connection. This is not on the store page. There is no link to some EULA that mentions it. You need an Internet connection. If Steam is set to Offline Mode, or if Steam is online and you don't have an active Internet connection, the game will crash after the launcher.

The story follows Keith T. Maxwell, a space pilot who is thrown far into the future after a malfunction with his ship’s hyperdrive. Stranded in an unfamiliar part of the galaxy, players must navigate through political conflicts, dangerous pirate factions, and a looming alien threat. The narrative isn’t overly complex but serves its purpose of keeping the player engaged through missions and encounters with a variety of characters.

Good time, short fun game

The mobile version is a lot better.
this version has some bugs, the controls for controller are not great, so you have to set up your own, and it does not have *any* DLC content (Kamoo, Valkyrie, Supernova)
That being said, it does have some more difficulty settings (easy and hard), and playing on the big screen is pretty fun. But unless they add the extra content and fix the bugs, the free mobile version is better.
This is to this day, one of the best space sim games IMO. Definitely the best mobile game in my list, and one of the top 10 all time best games I've ever played.
When i played this in 2012, i was still in school, and this game opened my eyes to the possibilities of endless content and stories in space games like this.
There exists no game to this day, more than a decade later, that does everything this game does, with the ease in which it does it.
The closest that comes to mind is Everspace 2, which was actually developed by GoF2 devs who went on to form rockfish games, but for some reason, it's still far behind the scope of this game.
I was blown away to see a vibrant living world like this available to play for free on android and iOS. I didn't know such a massive game could even play on those devices. The trading of commodities, Multiple races and their own stories, so many unique ships from so many different companies with their own design philosophies and characteristics, the amazing DLCs, and last but not least, the endless customisation when it came to our shit, the types of weapons, the armour, the boosters, etc etc
This was the pinnacle of space RPG.
I played this game for so long, i had every ship collected in the kaamo club, acquired every component and basically finished the entire game.
For anyone wishing to play an amazing game on your mobiles, i cannot recommend this enough.
BUT when it comes to PC, i'd say save your money. The controls are janky, the visuals are jittery for me and the BIGGEST disappointment is the fact that THE DLCs ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON WINDOWS! LIKE WHAT?!
I'd rather spend the money buying the DLCs on mobile than spend the money here.
The only reason i didn't refund the game here is because of the memories this game has given me, and the love for Scifi it has built for me. I'll keep this as a reminder in my library, but i do not recommend you buy this to play on steam.
Go buy it on ios or android, and play it. It's worth the time and money there. The controls are much better since it was designed for mobiles.
Unironically provides better immersion than Starfield
