About the Game
Great Emission, the biggest anomalous energy blowout from the times of Second Incident at The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, has shaken the world again and reshaped the Zone. To investigate its cause and and prevent future cataclysms is your only chance to survive in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky.WAR OF FACTIONS
With the anomalous activity at its maximum, the unstable Zone continues to tremor with outbursts. The transformation of the Zone map destabilizes the fragile balance of forces in the Zone. Hostilities for the new territories, artifact fields and spheres of influence flare up among groups. Feuds and friendships are left behind – now, everyone watches out only for themselves. The Faction War has begun. To survive, join one of the parties and knock out opponents over the Cordon... Or benefit from working for all the factions at once, like a true mercenary.
NEW PATHS
The safe and trusted pathways are no more. Known places disappear in impenetrable fields of anomalies, stalkers and entire expeditions vanish or remain trapped within. Mysterious territories that have been lost since the appearance of the Zone are opening up, calling for explorers. Your mission is to become a pioneer and explore all the new areas that have become accessible in "Clear Sky"!
MYSTERIES OF THE PAST
As a mercenary named Scar, play a key role in Strelok’s fate and discover new details to the original game story, revealing its major secrets. Visit the familiar places as they were before the original game starts and witness the events that shaped the Zone to the years ahead.
Game features:
- A prequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl, that reveals the backstory of the Zone, familiar characters and locations.
- New types of equipment and weapons: HPSS-1m, hunting rifle, RP-74.
- New locations: Swamps, Red Forest, Limansk and Abandoned Hospital, full of new stories and tasks.
- An advanced upgrade system for weapons and armor with technicians, allowing you to improve and customize your favorite pieces.

Clear Sky falls short of the magic that made Shadow of Chernobyl a classic. While the original immersed players in a haunting world full of horror and mystery, Clear Sky feels soulless, lacking the intense atmosphere and mutant encounters that defined its predecessor. The game’s linear progression forces you through faction missions, restricting the freedom that made Shadow of Chernobyl so compelling. To make matters worse, frequent bugs and technical issues hinder the experience, making it feel unpolished. Overall, Clear Sky fails to capture the magic of Shadow of Chernobyl and is a disappointing follow-up to a game that felt amazing.
The final bit of the game may have made me want to eat a fistful of glass, but in every other way it was a worthy follow up to Shadow of Chornobyl.
I felt like this one was shorter than Shadow of Chernobyl and a bit more limited, even though I enjoyed the game from beginning to end. Now I can understand why some fans say it's a bad even then it was fun
Clear Sky is an excellent prologue to Shadow of Chernobyl. I had as much fun playing this as I did with SoC. It's also slightly more difficult than SoC. For that, I recommend installing the Sky Reclamation Project. This mod includes some optional features to rebalance the game's difficulty, as well as bug fixes and quality of life improvements. Overall, I recommend that you purchase Clear Sky if you enjoy open-world games like this.

Only if you've played the other two already. And most importantly, find a bandit camp and wait there listening to their radio music. Forever
One of my favorite games. Great atmosphere, graphics are so-so, but the game is interesting. I also highly recommend playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2.
Huge upgrade from last game visual wise, map has some stuff in it, faction wars are prett cool!
Clear Sky....I wish I put this to the mixed review.
So, the game released a year later after SoC, and the game engine has a few changes, but there are flaws from the game.
One good thing is that the game got a graphical overhaul, the world looks great especially with the use of the new lighting, models have got a minor update, exploration is still great, and artifact hunting is much better rather than just finding it out of nowhere.
But then, aside from the positives, the gunplay is somehow worse. the ballistics of your weapon are terrible, you'll keep missing a shot due to the accuracy which goes willy-nilly around of the enemies while they have great accuracy. you need to find a technician if you want to improve the weapons to a more reliable state, but the issue is still there when you shoot.
Another feature that has been changed is the factions, you can work with the factions that you want to join, assist them on taking out enemies and capturing the area, do some quests, so on and so forth. I'm fine with it, but it feels underbaked since the quests feels the same as always when you keep playing.
another thing is the objectives, it is way too linear but you can still explore everywhere you want to go. the story is...questionable since it's a prequel from how the disaster happened but in a different character, except this time you're stopping the main character from causing it. The boss battles is....why was this added?
So, it even if there are flaws from the game, I still like it. I don't hate it, because I still play it.
Really disappointing. Plays somehow worse than the first game, while expecting you to take on 5X the amount of enemies. Feels like a poorly made mod.
Arsenal Overhaul + A bunch of .Itx file tweaks and the game gets pretty fun. Unless you like hammering rusty nails to your balls, do NOT try unmodded.
a sequel to the cult classic game. not as good as the very first game Shadow of Chernobyl but still good enough to be the part of this legendary franchise!
unfortunately, most of its new mechanics were incredibly broken for me, which is really disappointing considering almost everything is exactly the same as the previous entry
This game gets the Dark Souls 2 treatment since Shadow and COP are great games. It has bigger problems than the other two games but it is definitely worth playing. A solid 7/10 game. I'm not sure if I would recommend this to someone who hasn't played the series before but if you like the other two or at least Shadow then it is absolutely worth playing.
Pros:
- Stalker's atmosphere is unmatched. My only mod was a bug fix and it is remarkable how well a 2008 game looks. The sky and weather constantly change as you traverse the environment.
- This game will make you better at FPS games. You will need to go slow, check your corners, and make sure your inventory is up to snuff.
- I am kind of shocked that there are not more faction based single player FPS games. The story is not the best but it is a great way to learn about all the factions in the series. Good mixture of solo missions, group/faction missions, and side quests in the zones.
- Zone based traversal. For some reason Open World games frustrate me because sometimes it just seems too barren. Maybe it's nostalgia but breaking the game up into zones allows open world like traversal without as much slog imo.
- The gunplay. Once you have an upgraded gun you will be able to rip headshots off nonstop.
- Inventory management. I like games with Tetris inventory management.
Cons:
- TTK is insanely high in this game. This is a pull for some but yeah you are gonna get wrecked a few times.
- Grenade spam is unfortunately real. SRP mod allows a reduction in grenade spam which is essential to download.
- Every Stalker game ends in a bullethell. I swear to god you use more resources and ammo in the last 5 percent of the game than you do in the first 95.
- Quicksaving during story events will bug the game out. Just a reminder to only use quick save while out in the world or before/after a story event. This mainly applies to end game.
- Ally movement is really bad and will often run into you mid fight pushing you out of cover.
- Game needs a few more tunnel/underground sequences. The highlights of Shadow and COP are in the underground sections.
While I did enjoy it overall, the mechanics were a little different from the first in not necessarily a better way. For one thing, a lot of the creepy atmosphere that was in the first was lost. Regardless, it was still a fun playthrough.
DISCLAIMER: Played through with ABR Mod, which is highly recommended.
I don't understand the hate for this game. Yes I understand how bad of an idea the machine gun was. In fact, the beginning of this game is definitely the worst part. If you can get past the machine gun and to Cordon, this is an enjoyable game. The tone is much lighter than SoC, which I honestly thought was a nice change of pace despite the lonely depressing atmosphere being one of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s biggest selling points. The story leaves one with an appetite, quite a disappointing ending. But beyond that I enjoyed my time with Clear Sky. Lots of improvements on SoC in terms of gameplay.
A more experimental sequel compared to SoC. While I did like the new faction system and such, there are quite alot of bugs compared to the other two games in the trilogy. Still, good game and good followup to SoC.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky is not the best but its more S.T.A.L.K.E.R as well as the story is a prequel to the first game and that makes it awesome regardless of how good or bad it is its still S.T.A.L.K.E.R cheeki breeki
such an amazing game you can really just sit back and play this and really never get bored I loved the story i loved the faction interation really nothing about it i didnt like truly a A+ game
Graphically better but weaker story than the first. Doesn't really satisfyingly tie in plot points as most good prequels do.
Score: 6/10
its not worth buying separately but it its worth a try if you buy it in the bundle. The gameplay and story is worse than SOC and COP.
Great and very unique game. However, I highly, highly recommend you install the Sky Reclamation Project (SRP) as this game is very buggy and can affect your saves which the mod fixes, and also fixes some of the game's core problems.
missing elements that made the original so good, story is not that important to the narrative, but it can be a fun time with SRP.
My 4th playthrough and finally my 1st time all the way through. I played the Last Fallout Overhaul (LFO), a x64 bit remake. A good experience held back by buggy AI, crashes, etc. Visuals and gameplay were great. I want to replay in the future without LFO but not sure how. Vanilla CS was even giving me issues, crashing a lot. Gunfights were awesome but could’ve been so much better without bugged AI. Extra maps/missions made it feel bloaty. Loved the faction wars in concept. The Clear Sky/Renegade war worked well and felt great fighting alongside other Stalkers. Freedom/Duty war bugged out for me, very disappointing. Anomaly hunting is a great addition to the series. Retreading old locations is no big deal, I actually love it.
this is one of the best games i ever seen, there is lot of groups and many fight with others groups you can make a friends with other group and you explore the loction you fight for clean sky!!!!
If you want a DISGUSTINGLY difficult game then this game series is for you,but be aware that everything you will be put trough is very, very painful
this was a very unique place. i go back and just sit in the circle sometimes
Clear Sky is the most beautiful and technically advanced game in existing trilogy.
It was very hard to run, but it is still very solid visually.
I like how it adds details to the plot of the first game.
Clear sky received some quality of life improvements, also a feature to join factions and participate in battles for area control, which probably was one thing they wanted to implement in base game.
However, there are some negatives, which make this game a bit worse than first one:
- Faction wars often interfere with main dialogues and as result you can not hear ANYTHING.
- Sound of main dialogues is so quiet that if someone will run or shoot - again, can't hear ANYTHING.
- AI now uses tons of grenades, which looks a bit stupid, just too much.
- Some main mission stages work strange, transitions are rough and chaotic.
But overall you will get new locations, new (and old) characters to meet, it adds and expands first game's storyline, filling some gaps.
And it looks stunning even without mods.
This part of Stalker is just as good as the previous one. In some aspects even better. The plot is equally well-thought-out and engaging, with a few surprises. Improved graphics and the ability to play at 1920x1080, which was not an option before. A great addition are the technicians present in every larger camp, who are able to improve our weapons and suits for money. There has also been a major change in the shooting mechanics. There are better animations and a greater sense of realism, but you have to get used to it. It wasn't easy and I often got irritated that my bullets weren't going where I wanted to shoot, but after some time, when I got better weapons and upgraded them a lot, I started doing better.
"S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky" offers a fresh perspective on the Zone with a new storyline and factions and the game's improved graphics and gameplay mechanics create a more immersive experience.
Prequel to Shadow Of Chernobyl. You'll most likely want to play this at least for the story.
The game as a whole is not as good as Shadow of Chernobyl, probably because of the faction war thing that kind of ruined the lonely stalker vibe for me. Also, faction war mechanism itself is kinda 'broken', by design I suppose, since it has no ending no matter which side you join. The infinite amount of repeated tasks you get automatically, which get cancelled or failed unless tended to within time also adds to the annoyance. Gunplay is okay but may feel dated. Upgrade options for weapons felt unnecessary to me since you find better equipment too frequently and the fully upgraded weapon from previous tier don't even catch up to the better one's base stats and makes you feel you wasted your money.
If you love the world of stalker though, you will like the game despite its few drawbacks. So, I'm recommending it.
Very much worth experiencing, even though the shot dispersion and climax (gameplay wise) were turbo ass
Clear Sky gets the reputation of being the worst STALKER among the three. I enjoyed Shadow Of Chernobyl a lot, but not enough to warrant a review, but Clear Sky's another matter. It's equal parts better and worse than its predecessor.
It added so much QoL features which often go unmentioned, namely the Guide fast-travel system. No longer did I need to walk through the entire Zone just to go sell artifacts to Sidorovich, which is still the best trader with the best buying rates. I am kind of a fan of the fairly simplistic upgrade system and having a way to easily repair weapons and armor is a godsend. Which leads to one of my main gripes. Guns in CS feel worse than SoC up until you fully upgrade them, and even then only some feel as good. They jam so frequently at high condition % it's unreal. In Shadow, they start to jam more frequently after the 60-70% mark, in Clear Sky, they jam often as early as 85%, which is insane. I guess this incentivizes repairing, and it gets far more tolerable once you incorporate the new mechanics into your stalker cycle. Other things that thankfully the Sky Reclamation Patch fixed that are nuisances are the weapon sway on strafe which makes aiming a hassle and the fact vanilla pistols can't aim down ironsights.
But, the pistols getting a solid buff across the board was nice, I found myself carring an upgraded Fort-12 and later a Colt through the entire game and they did come in handy, especially when my workhorse rifle AN-94 jammed or was out of bullets. Unlike in SoC, I never found the G96 and only changed weapons to a fully upgraded FN2000 after lowering the bridge to Limansk. Good god the FN2000 is so strong in here, more so than in the previous game.
I also really liked the new artifact search mechanic, the fact the slots are suit-dependant and the new areas, with Limansk being my favorite. It's not as hard as Pripyat and not as large, but it's packed tight with battles and nice to explore. The swamps are also heavily rewarding if you know where to look for, with a Veles detector up for grabs from the start of game. Red Forest was fun to go through as well.
The faction war is forgettable and optional, but honestly it trivializes a lot of the late game. I only did the Loners' faction and the fact it rewards the SEVA suit early on and one of the best artifacts (Bubble) as well it's insane. A lot of artifacts were rebalanced, and I appreciate how they worked here. Ended up finishing the game with two bubbles, one shell, one gravi and one firefly. The extreme health boost from this latter artifact made bleeding trivial and I ended up with so many medkits and bandages, as well as 90 kg carry limit, which was a godsend to add through suit upgrades and the Gravi artifact (and two others).
While I think the power scale is tame and you're in Limansk with mid-tier weapons before you know it, it was still pretty fun, with my highlight being the helicopter battle in the Hospital. Although the final battle requiring speed when you're swarmed with monolith is kind of awful, but it mimicks SoC's opening segment of Chernobyl. I think Clear Sky's underappreciated, and this is my appreciation post for a game that is just as good, if not better at times, than SoC.
Fantastic game.
Enjoyed the gunplay.
Good music.
Never annoyed me except for running back from place to place. I know I could've teleported via guides but I didn't want to spend money.
The ending was a bit ehh but I understood what it meant.
STALKER is a good game its very enjoyable and the music is great the night time feels so real and like theres a danger out there. i recommend this game to people who like free roam rpgs its very fun
Worst of the three. Needs mods to make it to the end of the main questline without corruption. Get SRP (Sky Reclaimation Project) from Mod DB, also fixes the broken faction war system. Also tweaks to make the guns not suck. Then you have a somewhat playable game. Recommended only for die hard Stalker fans.
Clear Sky is the often-overlooked prequel to the original classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R. title, Shadow of Ch[o]rnobyl, particularly overlooked once the also-spectacular Call of Pripyat arrived to make the games a trilogy--at least until S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 finally comes out later this year. And then Clear Sky will quite likely fall to being the fourth-most-beloved game in the series instead.
Thus it may surprise most people with only a passing familiarity with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. that even a lesser title in the series is better than most other games. I just completed Clear Sky for the third time, and considering how infrequently I even play through a game twice per my backlog reduction efforts, it really speaks to just how much this series refuses to let go once it gets a hold on you. I am fond of saying that any FPS featuring gas masks in Eastern Europe should be a day one purchase, and these games are the originator of that truism.
The game begins with you dropped with virtually no explanation or understanding into a camp of mysterious armed scientists discussing the events of the introduction: The mercenary protagonist "Scar" experienced an anomalous environmental catastrophe and was the only survivor of the group he was escorting towards an unexplored area of "The Zone," a heavily irradiated area of supernatural occurrences created in the aftermath of the 1986 nuclear accident. From this point, other than giving you a PDA and explaining the different areas of it, the game pretty much tells you "good luck" and you get to figure everything else out yourself.
Talking to the various inhabitants of the camp where your character wakes up helps fill in a little more of the backstory about the area's ecosystem, its wildlife and the very land itself impacted by radiation to the extent that there are truly monsters in the world and phenomena virtually beyond human understanding occurring all around. Your mission is to help the eponymous group penetrate various mysteries of the Zone, ideally bringing its violent evolution to a close. Judge for yourself given this is the first game chronologically whether you are successful returning the Zone to a state of peaceful normality.
I have barely talked about the game's mechanics despite them surely being part of the secret of the game's popularity--the first-person combat is just splendid, with guns feeling weighty and powerful whether wielded by you or the enemy. Metro's "Ranger Mode" could well be inspired by the combat here, as even late in the game it is not uncommon to walk around a corner without being properly careful and get gunned down in less than a second. You never feel like guns are unrealistic in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. Inventory management is simple and straightforward, with just how fun it is to carry around a bunch of guns being the primary sticking point--just remember guns and ammo sell for proportionately less than just about any other loot you could be carrying for money-making purposes and maybe that will keep any hoarding tendencies under control.
The overall story to this game as well as the entire series is kind of spectacular and really never gets old, the side missions make sense and can almost entirely be skipped if you just want to get on with things, and the vibes, oh the vibes, they are immaculate. Especially if you grab the Complete Clear Sky 2 mod, the game will look virtually this-generation, but even in its original form its rusted apocalypse aesthetic cannot be beaten.
Some people complain about the faction warfare mechanics in the game, and they certainly are not without their share of minor bugs, but if you ignore the faction war stuff entirely and stay neutral that it really makes more sense--I mean, you ARE a mercenary, why would you pick sides anyway? Plus then you never lose the trading or upgrading services of any of the factions that start neutral towards you! Roleplaying AND mechanics success!
There is so much more I want to say about this game than will fit in these review boxes but I definitely recommend anyone check this out immediately if you love post-apocalyptic gaming or FPS/RPG hybrids as much as I do. One of the best reasons to play these games in chronological rather than release order is that they then get better as you go!
"This game looks so old and dated"
Grow up.
This game had me caught in an 8 hour long session when I opened it for the first time. I haven't played a game where that happened for years at that point. Sure the gunplay can be kind of annoying when your shot doesn't land where your crosshair is. However, you are no longer 8 years old. There is more to this game... The soundtrack is instantly recognisable for those who have played the game. The ambience is so effective, I had to google if a certain sound was truly ambience, or if I should feel paranoid for something skulking about. Chills a plenty, fun in droves and satisfaction at every launch of the game.
Not nearly as good as its predecessor, SOC, at least unmodded. Sad because this game had a lot of promise.
I cautiously recommend the game simply for the fact that it gives a very similar experience to the first game. It has a few neat ideas and at least for me ran much smoother than Shadow of Chernobyl, on the other hand some of the new mechanics introduced here are unfortunately underutilized and the progression feels very uneven due to how expensive the upgrades are and the fact that the profit margins from selling your loot will vary heavily from trader to trader with the best one being in the starting area. Fast travel exists, but is in my opinion it was also way too expensive, resulting in me backtracking "manually" to sell the stuff I found. To "solve" the issue of expensive upgrades the game will dump all the money in the world on you at certain thresholds of the story as to not completly block you from progressing. With all of this said, when the game clicks it definitely gives you the classic S.T.A.L.K.E.R experience of exploration, isolation and lingering feeling of danger and survivial in a hostile environment, that makes this game series so great. Towards its ending Clear Skies unfortunately succumbs to what made the ending of the first game tedious by simply dropping you in a sequence of shooting galleries against increasingly stronger enemies and ends somewhat abruptly. Overall I still enjoyed the story and parallels to the other games in the series and the inclusion of a faction system was an interesting idea, although it didn't really feel like it was part of the same game for me. Although I understand why many people find this to be the worst game in the series, I think it's still worth experiencing and it also managed what I thought was impossible for a game in this series, which is not crashing once during my entire playthrough.
Without a mod patch to fix the game, its pretty bad. BUT, for stalker fan, its a must play. So... Mid?
mod it until it crashes the game
I didn't try vanila but I have read some reviews for this game and everyone suggest that you should play this game with mod which fixes the bugs.
So I decided that I won't go with pure vanila but I will use mod.
I used Arsenal Overhaul Redux mod which fixes bugs and improves graphic quality but keeps story as it is in original (at least I think so :D )
For first few hours there was 0 issues, graphics are good. I like that I played Shadow of Chernobyl so most of the places and peoples I already known.
Some were dead in first part as this is prequel (like Wolf).
I played this on MASTER difficulty so there is a lot of dying involved :D
This game just adds what the first part was missing.
Fast travel or travel with guides - no more 100km walking but you just need some money to get from one point to another.
Weapon upgrade and modifications. As soon as I can I put silencer and scope on my weapons. Upgrades are pretty epic to.
Repairing gear is also nice to have, since you don't need to buy new gear when old one gets bad.
I don't know if this mechanics are from vanila or they come by mod, but even if they are, this still adds soo much to a game so I don't care if I won't play this in pure vanila mode (I wanted only story to be original)
And the sound is freaking amazing (probably from the mod also). It reminds me of Escape from Tarkov sounds (steps, looting...).
At the end I changed some views on this game beacause it is terrible :D
This affects only the ending I had no problems before that.
Grenades just spawned around me, even if there were no enemies around.
Something was bugged bacause Strelok should be on the roof but it was stuck at the grass so I needed to reload my autosave from start of the "chapter" and run again through whole section again.
Even when I got successful run Strelok was running through air and he was not even on any building so I killed him when he was flying like a bird.
My game crashed like 5 times.
And the ending... boring just like the story (if there even was any :D)
Game was good for 22 hours, to get some info for stalker series, but I would never replay this game.
Best played with the SRP mod to fix all the bugs and jank and expert difficulty. Good game woith a bit of a short story would have a blast again.
Overall, it's a decent sequel of the STALKER series, could be better, but the story really put it down. It's still giving the great, deep atmosphere, it's a real challenge, but it's clearly not the best one of the series.
The world is as amazing as Shadow of Chernobyl, immersion is improved, the world feels alive and unpredictable, making you feel vulnerable at all times.
It's not a forgiving game, it's hard, it's very punishing, the AI sometimes feels really unfair. The faction system is interesting, but sometimes just feels confusing.
Clear Sky has done something better than SOC, including the Weapon, Armor repair/upgrade system, removed hunger that yelling overweighted food in backpack but insecure feeling to dump or sell, and a little graphics improvement. Hidable 2nd tasks in PDA is a great improvement.
However, sadly, the critical design flaws almost destroyed the gameplay.
The flaws are:
-Systemical regenerative enemies - from cleared buildings and even within visual and shooting range.
-Storytelling stuck by systemical conditions, but the triggers are not clearly indicated or properly implemented.
-Dead faction system!!!
-Unbalanced and repetitive junk picking and dog hunting.
-Incidents are forced driven by scripts rather than by choices and skills.
-Food is almost money coupons if there is no more hunger, but still weights. Money is not collectable from dead bodies nor there is a clear way to get it back from bandits.
-Players are trained to use a cheating system called Save/Load, and there are even keyboard shortcuts for that... I think a permanent death mechanic would fit this game better -if the story is not so mandatry, and faction system really works.
-Is this box breakable? Is it openable by pressing F? It' vague if you are not a fan of remembering textures. But remembering textures is not an intended callenge in the gameplay I guess.
I have written a positive review for Stalker: SOC, not because it's techinal/graphically better, but because it hides the flaws and is providing better atmosphere. Clear Sky might be more of a step stone to Stalker's next success, but the stone itself is just a step.
DON'T SKIP CLEAR SKY! Clear Sky is generally considered the "worst" of the Stalker games as it doesn't have the quality story of Shadow of Chernobyl and lacks the polished gameplay of Call of Pripyat. However, even the "worst" Stalker game is still better than 99% of the modern triple A shit you see. Clear Sky adds a ton of new features and is overall a very solid entry in the franchise. I only encountered one completely game breaking glitch (3 minutes into the game lmao) and 0 crashes which is a massive improvement compared to Shadow of Chernobyl; you will still see the same bullshit game design and glitches present in the rest of the games, but Clear Sky fixes a lot of the shit seen in Shadow of Chernobyl. Also, Clear Sky expands upon the features seen in Shadow of Chernobyl with the inclusion of many new features; if you play the trilogy in release order (as you should), then you'll be slowly introduced to new features and slowly be introduced to the great world and story of Stalker. It may not be the best Stalker game, but comparison is the thief of joy, and if you judge Clear Sky without comparing it to the other 2, you'll see it's worth playing. I love every game in the series and recommend all of them which includes Clear Sky.
Terrible ending, faction system doesn't mean much and don't get me started on the stupid instant exploding grenade spam.
Be warned. Vanilla Clear Sky sucks tremendous tumor-ridden balls. It's a downgrade from SOC, unfair, annoying, and tedious. Be that as it may, the Clear Sky Reclamation Mod might be what quenches the flames of this ridiculous dumpster fire and is Highly recommended before embarking on this game. So in spite of all the strings attached, here's a positively labeled review to boost the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise cred on this site
Don't waste your time on clear sky. SOC was better, this was riddled with bugs, had to get a mod to even make it somewhat playable. Broke the game 5 more times even after the mods. Story wise its absolutely terrible, and when i finished the game it didnt even feel like i finished the game, ive seen better endings on mobile games and as far as the story goes, you just chase a guy the whole game with little to no context. to make it even worse it uses recycled maps from SOC. The games a 3 out of 10, do not buy, watch a youtube video and move on to the next stalker game.
