Earth 2160

Getting this was was extremely hassle.

First, we were asked to used CD Keys for full version of the games. Great problem come when i want to type anything in game because of in-game problems when using keyboard, so i must find other app to be able to use keyboard.

After I set in-game resolution into 1920x1080, The game HUD and explanation was so hard to read, which is making it hard to read. Making custom units was very important aspect in this game, but without larger text and icons, I'm very hard to do this upgrade.

The cheat was also not working either, even i done the right command. It's too frustating to play this classic game.

Rough gem, and one of my favourite games of all time. I wish they made another game in the series.

Earth 2160 is a competent RTS that accidentally revealed our collective death wish—a simulation where we practice managing humanity's extinction rather than preventing it. Its greatest achievement isn't gameplay but prophecy: machines that kill their creators, humans fighting over scraps, and the cosmic joke that even in our fictional apocalypse, we couldn't imagine cooperation over conflict.

Not Recommended

A very strange, unique game which is worth a playthrough. It has a lot of rough edges and some balance trouble but overall it was a memorable (partly because of it's often strange world) and enjoyable experience that people who're fine with more obscure, non-standard games will probably enjoy, especially for the low pricetag.

I first heard about Earth 2160 on YouTube and thought it would be interesting to try it out some day. After finishing the campaign I doubt I'll keep playing the game. For the first time I played it only now, which may be too late for such a game. Nonetheless, I liked the plot and completed the campaign with pleasure, learned how to play each fraction, but in the end this RTS couldn't interest me that much. I can recommend buying it on sale and try to dive into it, that would worth it.

When the game starts it wont let you type in the product key due to an error, this game need to be taken down from steam.

This is THE best strategy game i've ever played!

Absolute garbage. Requires key entry after launch but then you can't even type it in. Random keystroke recognition. I got as far as entering the first digit.
