Plant Tycoon is a gardening sim game where you nurture plants and experiment with increasingly rare and valuable species. The object is to breed and cross breed plants until you find the 6 Magic Plants of Isola and solve the genetic puzzle. You start with a couple of dollars, a handful of seeds, some soil and water. Grow plants, organize and harvest seeds, monitor your plants' health, age and maturity and protect your plants from dehydration and infestations. Sell some of your creations to fund your research, buy better supplies to use in your Nursery and purchase ornaments to customize your virtual garden.

It's a cozy OG lite idler where you tend to your garden, catch bugs (and wiff often), discover new species and watch in horror as new rare species eventually die from poor soil, water, and infestation.
The music is gentle and not overbearing while on loop, with chimes playing on occasion.
The bobblehead customers do squats and stare hard at your plants for minutes, sometimes indefinitely, until you prune the one part of your plant hidden among pixel leaves, you trash the plant [cause it's mercy D:] or they buy it~
10/10 would grow venomous lemonbushes for profit again.

Plant Tycoon is decent for a real-time, life/business simulator that even goes as far as giving players options in the menu to fit their schedule. Of course, the graphics are apparently dated and it can take up to a week to solve a piece of the flora breeding puzzles; the game is generally fair when it comes to pacing and allows players to experiment with over 500 combinations of plant pollination in the interest of the player's curiosity and desire for profit and upgrades. All in all, this is one of the few products on Steam that can comfortably be played in windowed mode and can be cozily returned to, no matter one's schedule or experience with simulators of its type.
Relaxing but still has some challenges. Its a simple, easy and no thought game for passing time.

They also have free downloads for some of their other original games like Virtual Villagers, and Fish Tycoon. I would normally also recommend considering still supporting the developers by buying the games here, but all their newer games rely heavily on micro-transactions, which I despise, so do with that information what you will.
Old games are just better
