Gecata 6 actually has the very same problems as Gecata 5, but let me elaborate.

You know, like I insinuated, I’m coming from Gecata 5, really loved this version for a long time when using it, because it actually had no system impact at all for me, and I also really adored the easy editing functions to cut out unnecessary stuff as well as the low data cost. But the last months, oh boy. I mean, nearly every time a game now is programmed in Unreal Engine 4, runs in DX12 and you’re using 4K, or even worse, also got Raytracing, the game suddenly crashes upon start because of Gecata. Sometimes there’s a fickle workaround for a handful of games (by using Alt-Tab after start and using Desktop mode), but there are still quite some titles that crash nevertheless. And sorry, this is just absolutely intolerable. So I thought, alright, let’s buy the new version ... but no, Gecata 6 STILL got exactly the same problems. Honestly, this kind of leaves me very frustrated. I mean, other cheaper recording apps got no problem with this (e.g. Action!), so anyway, it leaves a shallow aftertaste in my mouth. My impression, the whole app meanwhile seems kind of abandoned, sorry if I may sound harsh. Long story short, this negative review is meant as a serious warning. Before buying any Gecata version, best think about what games you want to record, because a lot of new and future games with ultra settings will probably not work at all :(

This has helped me record quite a bit and though it can be a bit buggy, namely taking my controls in critical fights, it can end in funny moments which can help my channel increase comedy. This has helped me since obs decided to not record minecraft, my focus, or other games I like. I'm definately getting the next version when it comes out.

After using this for at least a year now, I can definately, this is probably the only software I've really liked and wanted to use but was so horribly buggy that I'm forced to go elsewhere. It's great when it works, it's trash when it fails, which it tends to do frequently. I've lost countless hours of footage because it crashed midway through recording, it encounters some kind of error and crashes the entire game it's running on, or I have to uninstall and reinstall it after it sometimes no longer feels like working on a game that it has recorded for months. I'm literally moving to another software after this has crashed and lost about 7-8 hours of footage three times this week on three seperate games.

Again, shame that a decent software can't be used because it's never consistently decent. If you get it on sale (like me) and don't use it often (not like me), maybe you can justify it's bugs, otherwise, save your hours and money and go use a more stable program.

Shocking with what it costs!

Juttering, freezing, keybinding doesn't work correctly.
I'm not running a low end Rig so it should be fine.
Really don't bother, go with a spending a little more for a better product, this was a waste of money and a waste of time.
I now have a product I can't send back due to my usage time, absolute joke.

Used to be great. Until this error appeared: "The webcam connection has been lost."
It matters not if I tried to record on Game mode or Desktop mode. Please fixed. Thank you.

Good price compared to bandicam, bad compared to OBS. Probably not worth it, there is really nothing else to say.

Works well on most of my games and the application does what I want.

If you are the owner of a heavy game, such as Call of Duty, Rainbow Six Siege, Shutter games and so on, I don’t recommend this program to you .. (I have tried both versions 5 and 6) both of them do not bear the power of modern games.
Unfortunately, like all current recording software of the 21st century, it's disappointing ...

I hope to improve the software and make it more powerful in the next release so I can buy it again

The best streaming soft on PC, yes better than OBS.

If your using a gaming pc and unreasonably fast internet, Then it will probably work fine.... I have a Nvidia GT 1030, And an intel i5. I use integrated graphics for streaming and recording. OBS seems to be able to stream with minor hickups... But Gecata 6, if you have any flaw in your internet what so ever, or you skip a frame or 2 due to lack of encoding power, gecata 6 will turn your stream off and indicate that its your fault and your internet is too slow.

Gecata 5 is the BEST for recording, And seems to be the same for 6. But Gecata seems to need work for streaming. Don't buy this quite yet. Wait for forums or reviews to say this problem is fixed.
If they would add a bypass function that would allow you to tell Gecata to keep streaming even if there is a flaw, then I would probably give this app 10/10. Until then, 0/10 streaming | !0/10 recording (but you can get that with 5)

Update: Steam will not refund to me because of the time used, the app just sits there so because it was on, steam will not refund, what a joke.... Movavi please fix this issue and make me want to keep your app...

At least for recording it seems to be recording decently on low spec computers. So if you have encoding error in OBS and can't get rid of it then at least get this on sale like I did. Or you can try finding free screen recorder which is lightweight.

This could for work streaming but you can't have overlay image like when you want to block lobby code for Among Us so there wouldn't be stream snipers.

But so far I tried little bit of it. Maybe when I'll be using more then my thoughts might chance.

Like I before said, it works for recording and maybe streaming if you don't need overlays like chat, alerts (donation and other alerts), speedrun timer and other overlays, on low spec pcs.

But more downsides to this software - it records game and mic audio in one audio track. So either use audacity for mic audio or balance audio before recording.

Other downside it records only in mp4 format. If pc suddenly lose power then recording is gone. Unless if Gecata somehow managed to fix that issue. Haven't seen if mp4 is corrupted or not after sudden power lose.

For low specs pc it works. At least it can record Trackamina Nations Forever and other games with smillar requirments to play.

This is awesome! This is really great for YouTube videos and I totally think you should use it, Its very quick to learn and very easy to use.
