The best screen recording software in my opinion.
Literally Bandicam and OBS Studio is better than this, I tried this out and I'll give you guys some hints on how shit this software really is.
1. Whenever you do the time shift button in the application, it'll make your games crash. For me, I was going to record Garry's Mod and it made it crash all the time, unless I disabled that button.
2. Every freaking time I boot this crap software up, I basically see that my gaming laptop's performance is really sluggish (with an i9-13900HX and a RTX 4090 Mobile), so basically it's this damn thing right here that slows things down, I'm sure they slow desktops down as well.
3. Another big takeaway is that... The developers are idiots or something because they never release hotfixes fast enough, they don't care about anything but just the money for their crap product.
4. And finally, the developers leave people to go to the Steam discussions of this specific product, because the fact that this horrible "Action! Gameplay Recording and Streaming" application is confusing to work with for some people, I think I got it pretty well, but I've heard a person's experience that they have had trying to contact the developer of this program via email, and never gotten a reply back from them.
All in all, this software is shit in my opinion, and shouldn't be regarded any higher than shit. I hope this software doesn't get bought out anymore. I also hope this software for sure gets forgotten about, because OBS Studio and Bandicam and others are better than this pile of hot garbage.
I mean hell, HyperCam 2 is a little bit better than this shit, thankfully I don't have to worry about this no more because I have refunded it. But yea, my personal advice is to stay away from this hell hole.

Does the job
It worked on my computer until a few hours ago. Now steam has it running, but there is no overlay, and I can't find it running anywhere even in task manager.
It worked well otherwise. I can't say I would not recommend, but obviously I can't recommend based on thus far.
I will edit it or delete my review if I figure this situation out.

you can use this for hand 2nd weapon to record footage, corp or full easily. pair action with OBS and Movavi and u can create anything with in game or in screen footage. a must have tobe pair up with other editing software. Great software for all kinds of recordings, and it keeps getting better and better! It´s over 10 years old but dev´s still working on it. I would not recommend it for streaming tho, it´s too basic for that, but it´s perfect for recording in the background.
The regular price is too high tho, get it on sale.

I used to like this app as it was my go to program when recording quick footage for Youtube but not anymore. In fact, I really just cannot recommend this app anymore is this day of ages as it has tons of crashing issues that may never get fixed. Especially if you're using this app to run high intensive games like Garry's Mod in 64 bit because Action always crashes both those games and Action itself and I could not find a fix for it. My computer is not low end either as it can run Cyberpunk 2077, Atomic Heart, and Ghost of Tsushima. Speaking of Garry's Mod, it's also not compatible with Source Engine games like that one as well as the game recording mode doesn't recognize it and i'm force to use the screen record mode to record it
I can see this app be used if you're recording your desktop for whatever reason but there are way better programs for that. Honestly, you might as well look somewhere else if you want to record gameplay footage.
