Total disappointment. the storyline (what story line?) is weird, is like there's nothing concrete to follow. the battle in game is nice but is just doesn't make sense because you are fighting without a purpose. who made this game!? square just got their pants dirty with this one. not worth the money and i lost mine. make sure you get to check people's reviews and clips of a game before you even think of buying it. also don't let brands convince you that another great game is out, because just with all the great titles from square enix, this is not it.
In general, I have enjoyed this gamer, but a bit bugs and hot keys are not very handy.
I think it is a good game. Its mechanics are not very deep but it basically has everything it needs.

the story thus far..its so relevant to our world today
the graphics are a unique blend of realism & animes
the "realistic diorama" style is what caught my attn
it looks so good..square enix are masters of this art
the gameplay..never played anything like this before
its the patience of turn based tactical games i love
its the urgency of real time strategy games i love
highly recommend..totally worth the full price now
its so unique..there's no other games like this one
i hope diofield does well so they do more "RTTB"
maybe valkyria chronicles concept inspired here
but its something completely new..i love this shii

Short review: A generous 5/10. Strategy is not a word I would use here. It's sort of monotonous, and that normally doesn't bother me.
Battles get repetitive and dull. Characters have the personality of an egg.
Longer review: (Still not completely done with the game yet, but far along)
The games story doesn't really speak to me much, nor do the characters after a certain point. I feel like we get new additions, with little more personality than their role. I can barely remember the units i USE, from how little a role they play.
Some abilities didn't seem to get a proper explanation, and several events appear to come out of nowhere, with perhaps a small nod to the player about how or why it came to be.
Combat itself is a little dull, and frustrating to say the least. Changing the difficulty seems to do little more than adjust damage? Which feels sort of lazy to me.
Maps don't feel fun. The pause based fighting choices feel iffy at best, with the pause being inconsistent. The units don't always move where you want them to, needing to move the map around and wiggle the spot you want them to stand in.
The biggest crime of them all for me, regarding the battles are that the "special criteria" are almost always:
- Do it in under 6-8 minutes.
- Kill everyone
- Lose no one.
Some missions add a little life in the form of "defend X object/person!" but those are far and few in between.
What started out as a hopeful adventure, and a bit of interest, fizzled into wanting the game to simply be over, working to finish it simply so that I won't want to bore myself in the future when i inevitably forgot about why it was left incomplete.
It earns a 5/10 only because I can see potential with what's been put here. But the fact that it feels like a demo that went on for too long says a lot to me...
I love the idea of this game, but it is unfortunately ruined by the poor execution of it.
I really enjoy tactical games, so I was excited to give this game a shot despite its poor ratings. I am just glad I bought it on sale because it is not worth your time. The graphics are so bad that they hurt to look at because of the rainbow blur around every single character. The story is unoriginal. If you have played Triangle Strategy, take the personality out of all the characters and you have this game. There is zero difficulty unless you're playing on hard, where it still feels like an easy difficulty equivalent in any other tactics game. Don't waste your time or money on this one.
