Far Away

On a paper one of my favourite Chinese VN's.

Good translation and well thought story about orphan girl with interactive adventure journey. How far can you reach with meaningfull decisions? One route takes 8 hours, characters that you may meet during playthrough change. Decisions also change daily routines for the orphan girl Krosa. It's your choice how will you approach this gangster city story. Being detective is just one of the many other outcomes that are hidden there.

Stylish art, fully voiced. Nothing to dislike when game is paced soo well.

I just spent I think more time than I ever had before on a visual. As the second game I got on my wheel roulette, I had to stay committed. This game is pretty alright, I think the story is serviceable enough but not all of these routes are the same in terms of quality or interest. There is a recommended order to doing them, and I think you really should do it that way. The guide for that is like the top one in English in the guides section, it will show you a flowchart of the games routes as well as what to do for achievements. I kind of recommend that heavily if you intend to 100% this game. But my take for that is, don't.


I am pretty exhausted, have been for like the 35 hours I put into this game, I'd say I was pretty contend on the first three routes I did but every route after usually didn't standout enough in it's whole to achieve that same feeling. There were occasional moments where they were enjoyable but ultimately I think I really recommend doing the Miller, Tracys, Enzo and Lica routes. Ava and Tate are fine as well, but they aren't as compelling and then the last two were not very interesting. But, in all honesty just do whatever routes you wanna do even if its one or all of them, I feel like they're all decent stories at the least.


Ultimately for something that seems to come from a small team in China and I got on sale $5, it wasn't bad. I am though severely exhausted from 100%'ing the game. Knowing there's a sequel on the guy thus puts me in dread because I will likely be trying to 100% that as well. Anyway, I do recommend this if you want something with a very simple story and charming artwork. I'd define it as a 6/10 experience, not bad, but nothing that you will remember and hold in high regard for a long time to come.

I've been waiting for this story to get translated into english ever since I found this game. I've played through all the routes and unlocked the epilogue. All the main characters are somehow likeable and interesting. It's interesting to see how Krosa ends up developing in the different routes. The dub and art are great as well. The flowchart function is kind of vague but it marks the points where important choices are, which really helps for collecting endings. I don't normally consume thrillers or mystery genres but I found the stories and characters really engaging here. Highly recomend this game! I really hope this game gets a sequel!

This was a really fun VN with tons of different storylines to choose from depending on your choices.

It's definitely a choose-your-own-adventure visual novel. Lots of choices along the route, with some of them would lead you to a new route or path that has a different ending.

Admittedly I only looked at this game after experiencing the devs' second game - Noctuary - which has become my favourite indie game last year, and I've heard of news that the devs are already working for an English patch for this game (which shipped in January this year). Safe to say that much like their second game, I am in love with the writing of the game.

A cool visual novel with many different plot development options. The main character's future depends on your choices.

i've been waiting for this translation for a while after finishing their most recent game and its been worth the wait!
all the routes are cleverly lay out the veiwpoints and stances on the state of the town ranging from law to chaos
im glad they made the Lica route cannon, i really liked her and looks like an occuring character later on
cant wait for the sequel!

The game is fantastic..For a fan of visual novel, this is must play..I love it..however the game will benefit with a flowchart so that easy to keep track story route..Recommended..

I was betting on learning Chinese before this game came out in English, sometimes it is good to be wrong.

The best novel. And all elements made how it must be.

I've gotten two main endings so far, and haven't met half the cast or seen many of the scenes in the store page, so some choices can lead to very different stories, giving this a fair bit of replay value. Though there are also some annoying choice sequences where you have to make a string of 'correct' choices without information, so you'll probably end up saving and reloading frequently until you find something that works.. But nevertheless, I found the characters and story well written.

Visual novel with very little gameplay, story is ok-ish so far but they over-explain things leading to a slow pace. I.e. you could just watch a playthough

Finally has English subs after years of waiting, however in the end they delivered.
