It was a fun game while it lasted. Not worth buying the game that is abandoned by the devs.
There are sooo many issues with the game, being laggy, spawning the things we need to find off the premises, or not at all. Cobwebs are a big thing, im trying to get 5 stars in all rooms, and cobwebs stop it from getting there, and they are also sometimes near impossible to see. but all in all a decent game to chill out with.
its really fun
I have enjoyed this game quite a bit and like others, I was a fan of House Flipper before I decided to get this game. It has some lovely furniture and decor and the ability to customize fabrics and colors means you can make really unique rooms. I appreciate that it isn't just rooms you get to renovate but other parts of the hotel too. The little storyline throughout is a nice addition. All that said, as others have pointed out, there are a few issues. Bugs that have not been fixed and likely never will be as the developer moved onto other projects and hasn't made any updates. It certainly can make the game feel incomplete in some areas and if you paid full price, you'll feel let down. There's also additional things that developers said they'd be adding later on such as repairing the second elevator and possibly the locked door in the basement but no new content has ever been added in that regard. The events can get irritating but others have mentioned they can be turned off so I'll attempt that next time I play. The DLC seems too pricey as well for what little is in it and some of that furniture can't be customized. Overall I'd still recommend it for a chill creative gaming experience, just catch it on sale!

If you like designing then this game is for you! I own House Flipper so this was similar to that on a bigger scale. I like picking the layout and being about to change it!
I was really happy when I bought this game, it looked awesome and since I am a huge fan of House Flipper I thought I'd have such fun playing this one, however, that is not what happened!
The game became a bit irritating with the events at the hotel constantly repeating, always the same characters and wishes, the malfunctions were the same over and over again making the gameplay quite boring..
In my opinion there is a lack of choices in furniture, lights, wallpapers etc, it feels that the developers didn't finish the game.
Overall, this game has everything to become a great game but it feels abandoned, so if you want to know I don't recommend buying it.
I one time played it and it says a bad message! Don't play it if you see it
I wanted to like this game so badly! It has a lot of my favorite mechanics and plots like House Flipper, but the controls and graphics are much worse. The fact that I have to hold down on the mouse to get rid of each individual trash piece when cleaning out a room, it takes a really long time for the animation that paints or tiles a wall, and the mechanic for moving things around once you've placed them is confusing. The tile prints and wall art and whatnot are incredibly pixelated on some of them. I honestly think this game has a ton of potential if those things were fixed. Unfortunately I don't think I can finish the game because of those issues (carpal tunnel)
This is a really, really good game. I heard that the devs gave up on it, and if that's true, that is a shame! I have played for 70 hours and I have completed all of the objectives. If you like House Flipper, you'll probably like this game too. It's simple, but it can be a little repetitive. It's like house flipper, but you are flipping hotel rooms. The higher quality furniture = an increase in the price of the room. There's a cute little story hidden inside too that made me go "awww!" The controls are a lot different than HF too, a lot of people don't like the scrolling, but I don't mind it! The only issue I'm having is that there is an achievement to beat the chicken at dice... Well, the chicken beat me and disappeared. I have no idea how to play the game of dice again to get the achievement, and I'd really hate to have to play through the entire game again just for that. Other than that, I didn't really encounter many bugs. Sometimes decorations would start spinning out of control in my hands, but that was rarely. It was worth the price, I bought it on sale and it entertained me for quite some time! I can say one last thing- this is a 50/50 game. Either people love it or they hate it. You be the judge!
This is a one time play through game. There are several bugs in the game that have not been fixed and most likely won’t ever. The current state of the game seems more like a late stage of Early Access then a Full Release version. If you are still interested in the game. I would wait until all its DLCs, and the base game are about $5 before buying it. Otherwise, it is a waste of money. For any future games from this developer. I would suggest to wait on leasing any new titles from them. To ensure you actually getting a Full Release version and not a late stage of Early Access abandoned version.
It's fun to play the game and you get to decorate too.
This game has been abandoned and it's not even worth it at 50% off. It's clunky, there are bugs everywhere, it looks like ass and it has had zero updates in almost a year and most likely no more in the future by the way they've been commenting on the Discussions page. It's pretty clear that they'd rather have money than happy players and that's unfortunate for everyone.

It was soooo fun and I LOVED it! You get a fun building experience and nothing to worry about but when you have a goal to paint something,it finishes it when most paint is done so in build mode when you get to furnishing you find some unpainted parts on the wall that the game didn't see and there is no goal for the ceiling which is annoying but over all,is a four and a half star in my opinion. (review written by 9 year old)

If you liked House Flipper but yearned for the simplicity of whacking things (tool one) and resurfacing things (tool two), then this may be for you. You can even spend the same money again for more resurfacing options. If so, great for you. But I thought it was sh1t
fun to decorate the rooms
I played about 15 minutes of the tutorial and it felt far more like a chore than a game. Clicking on various bits of garbage and painting the walls square by square was just not what I wanted to be doing.
Best games and can test our creativity
Love this game so much. i love how creative you can get in this game.
Fun game, can be frustrating at times with all the interruptions while trying to renovate but they can also be nice breaks. I'd personally tone down how much it happens but otherwise, good game. +1
So i started this game because I was on a business trip and had a nice hotel one night and a decent one another night. I thought to myself why not see if i can find a game to make my own perfect hotel rooms!! I love this game for sure!!
Missing so much QoL features and options you'd expect in a renovation game
1. Hard to match furniture wood - some furniture items do not even let you change the wood
2. No grid system to place items, have to eyeball it
3. Bad UI - very cluttered in areas
4. Far too many colour options, which normally wouldn't be a bad thing, but the game requires you to scroll for ages to find what you want
5. Painting/placing floor mechanic is awful
6. Selling and moving objects is too finicky
7. I had a bug where a decorative object flipped itself on its side and I could not put it the right way up, then it clipped through the floor so I could not sell it...
I really wanted to enjoy this game as I love House Flipper, so I am quite disappointed.

Abandoned game.. Buggy as hell. Worth it on sale price as it does have some good content, but you will not get support so if you can put up with the visual glitches and the bugs making you have to restart your game then go for it.
I did the entire play thru and its a ok game but the achievements trying to get the last one which im assuming its the gym which you have to buy the DLC to get any gym equipment, why? I did like the others uninstalled re installed nope so this would have been the first game I got all of them but the no longer do anything for this game so thats my reason I noticed alot of these game people are shady.

Concept is great.
I do however dislike having to click on every single thing carefully (so that I do not break the floors) to pick up trash. Irritating way of painting walls, floors, etc. Not enough different kinds of items - most fall under one or two categories (why are there 24584543 toothbrushes, balms, and other decorations, but not enough beds, tables, or even toilets? And why is everything pseudo-contemporary?) The way you select these items, and their colours, is tedious, and you cannot change the entire colour of the given items.
The graphics are nice, I will give it that.
Also, not at all "hotel" renovator, more like "custom apartments" renovator.
If I could sum it up with one word: tedious.
My wrist hurts.
Edit: Forgot to add: lots of bugs, to the point I thought this game was early access or beta.

This game is really fun, I enjoy it a lot. I especially like that you can add user mods to it that will add new furniture and things.
Lots of fun, I like the story mode and the prompts with interruption to go and naturally fix things. I like the comedy in those happenstances too.
Hotel Renovator is a satisfying blend of creativity and management. You get to design and customize every corner of your hotel, from picking furniture and colors to handling renovations. It’s super fun transforming rundown rooms into luxury spaces. The controls are smooth, and there’s plenty of freedom to get creative with your designs. If you enjoy chill, hands-on simulators with a bit of style, this one’s definitely worth checking out!
Finished the game in 12.5 Hours havent played since. Wish the game was more of a hotel manager instead of renovator. Then it would be amazing

Meh...
There are a lot of bugs, some of them literally gamebreaking, and you aren't given multiple save files per game to roll back to should you be unfortunate enough to encounter once. I've had dynamite clip through walls and destroy previously finished rooms. I've had furniture items clip through the floor and permanently lower the room's score because I couldn't retrieve it when it was time to upgrade to the next quality level. I had one item needed for a quest simply not spawn. For me, it happened with an optional quest, but on my search trying to get around the bug I saw other players reporting mandatory milestones required to unlock the next level bugging out in similar ways.
Since most players are probably much more interested in the sandbox gameplay than what little story there is in "story" mode, I'd normally be more forgiving of this type of thing at the price point the game is being sold at. I don't expect AAA levels of polish on a game a fraction on the price. However, the fact that the developers have pushed out multiple DLCs without addressing these major gameplay bugs really sours me on the project and gives the impression that this is just a minimum effort cash grab.
It's fun. There are some small glitches and issues when you want to do the ceiling and or some walls that you can't touch ( not sure why ).
I have a unhealthy obsession with games like this. I've been stuck on the second floor for 30 hours. Send help. I can't stop. A chicken keeps beating me in the dice game and biting me too.
The game has a ridiculous mechanics. Graphics are very laggy. The concept of the game is interesting but the mechanics are very frustrating. I cannot emphasize on how frustrating the game mechanics are.

It's a game you should get when it's on Sale.^^
I bought it, when i was bored. It got drawn into it and enjoyed the possibilities to decorate and customise!
I really recommend it, if you love to decorate Rooms and enjoy games like House Flipper etc.
This game is just better than them.

Just bought this game and all DLC and the game won't play.
What a bunch of sleazebags. I don't often leave reviews, so the fact that I feel the need to even leave one for this game says a lot (for me). As if it wasn't bad enough that they just abandoned the game when it had so much potential and was so close to reaching that potential....the game seems to have been abandoned not long after the DLC was released for it. But I happened to notice that in March of this year...this game was made available on the Xbox and PS5. Based on reviews, it sounds like they did absolutely nothing different with the game and simply ported it from here to the consoles to make a quick buck. That's sad and can honestly say I won't be ever be buying anything from these guys again. :|
