Trombone Champ is the world's first trombone-based rhythm music game. Unlike most music games, you can freely play any note at any time. You're not just following along with the music, you're actually playing the music!
Toot your way through over 60 tracks. The better you play, the more toots you earn!
Collect all 50 Tromboner Cards!
Baboons on nearly every screen!
Improvise and play whatever you want in Freeplay Mode!
Uncover the secrets of the Trombiverse and become the True Trombone Champ!
Absolutely zero microtransactions!
Appropriate for all ages!
Music
Trombone Champ features over 60 tracks, which include anthems, marches, classical pieces, electronica, folk classics, and more. The game also includes tracks from exciting guest artists. Each track has a unique animated background that moves with the music!
Tromboner Cards
Use the "Toots" you earn from playing songs to purchase sacks of Tromboner Cards. These cards can be used to unlock new tromboners, new trombone colors, and other mysteries!
Controls
Using a mouse, move your arm forward and back (as if you were holding a trombone slide), and the pitch of the note will slide up and down to match! Click or use the keyboard to blow! The sounds your trombone makes are completely controlled by you. The closer you are to the music track, the more points you will earn, but you have the freedom to play anything you want at any time!
Baboons
Nearly every screen in the game, beginning with the main menu, features one or more baboons. You won't believe how many baboons there are in this game! As you discover the secrets of the Trombiverse, their purpose may become clear... but only a true Trombone Champ will uncover their full meaning.

Hysterical, but still quite fun. The storyline was as crazy as baboonly possible, but still enjoyable to play through. The gameplay itself is great, if also carpel tunnel incarnate. The recently added level editor is also actually super awesome. Toot your trombone, brave soul!
Absolutely ridiculous and absurd and I'm terrible, but have a blast every time I play it
Best Trombone Game out there! You know that's crazy considering the fierce competition, personally I'm just sad I fell from global rank 5 to 59 in "JARABE TAPATÍO" after a year or so... anyways bone on!
trombone goes toot, become champ. life is good.
I JUST CHUGGED MY BAND DIRECTOR...
With some of the custom charts available, Wrist Damage Champ is easily one of the most intuitive, fun, and addictive rhythm games I've ever played.
Very fun. Ridiculously funny. Lots of options in the settings, and some surprises.
Very hard but very fun! The card collection really got me, and you can feel these people love trombones! I just wish it had a "poop-less" version, all the turds and sounds makes me very unconfortable, I had to play without sounds when I was making new cards and changing repeated cards for currency...
i tooted and got coins for it, a baboon appeared after i combined mozart's evil cousin and hot dogs. 11/10 would recommend to my 70 year old grandma
38 hours, 38 hours, I have put up 38 hours on this game. I even bought the DLC. It is such a simple game. Who knew playing the trombone could be soooo much fun. Some of the songs can get quite challenging. There are a lot of perks to playing the game vs playing the real trombone. One I can turn down the sound or put on head phones, two it is easy to store, and most importantly you don’t have to clean up the spit. Am I champ? I am not sure of I am but what I am good at is seeing a musical note and pushing a button. This game inspired me to start playing an instrument. Yes, because of Trombone Champ I now play the drums. What a hidden gem, well it was a hidden gem until everyone found out about. Speaking of that how come you don’t have it now.
wasn't expecting anything at all while i was completing the game
11/10
Every time I'm feeling bad or annoyed I like to pop this game in for a bit and just mutilate a classic song or two. Every aspect is funnier than the last, and it's great that there keeps being new songs added!
I do wish it was a little less violent to my poor old wrists though!
Charming and funny rhythm game which does not take itself seriously in the slightest. Sounding awful is part of the charm. Plus, there's now official custom track support, meaning the replay value is through the roof.
mm funny trombone sounds!! (BABOONS BABOONS BABOONSSS!!!!)
This game is so much fun. When I bought it I had no idea there would be LORE. Lots of silly fun and countless hours of stupid rhythm levels. Some things take time and dedication and I’m currently trying to finish and get all the achievements.
The update to make these custom songs more accessible is sick. I am absolutely enjoying myself.
So this game has every reason to be bad. Let's just start with that.
In the early 2000's when I grew up, an ongoing meme was to make fun of Guitar Hero by creating fake "hero" games with terrible instruments and boring public-domain songs. As a rhythm game enjoyer, these were obviously funny, but I couldn't help but wonder if some of these would still be fun to play if they got intense enough. Trombone Champ took that joke and made a real video game out of it.
With graphics calling back to the terrible Wii Music, songs that sound like an utterly horrible collection of tracks on the surface, and gameplay designed to jmake all your music sound terrible when playing it, you'd think I hate this game, but no. Sure, the laugh of hearing off-tune trombone wears off after a bit, but what you don't expect is just how good this game ends up being regardless.
This game is unhinged. I don't say this lightly, either. Sometimes classical songs will randomly turn into electronic remixes without warning, the visuals in this game are absolutely insane (for example, the American National Anthem ends with a low-res photograph of a cheeseburger taking up the entire screen), secrets in this game beg you to accept the most random ideas that have nothing to do with trombones or music, there's an unlockable farts instrument that doesn't even pitch-correct to what you're playing, loading screens feature trombone facts that range from goofy to outright lies, and for no reason at all, there are collectible cards that are seemingly trombone versions of Hearthstone cards. It's wild, and I love it.
The gameplay, especially when you finally DO get good at it, is also extremely satisfying. All this game would need is some kind of custom controller like Guitar Hero, and you'll actually get lost in the fun of playing such a goofy instrument.
If you like rhythm games of any kind, give this one a shot. For $15, this game is well worth it, especially compared to modern DLC-heavy triple A rhythm games.
came for silly toot rhythm game, stayed for the hot dogs and all hail babi
Very addictive and very fun, we laughed so much playing this game
Came for the silly trombone rhythm game, stayed for the insane hilariousness of it all. Like hot dogs? Toot jokes? Baboons? Then this game is for you. If you've got the humor of a middle schooler (me) then buckle up because this is a delight. Trombone Champ is straight up fun and goofy. It's worth putting some hours in to find all the little secrets the devs put in. I am not a rhythm gamer by any means but this game sparks joy.
trombone game about farts. wow didn't know i needed it but i did
imagine having to violate your instrument to play it, this post was made by the percussion gang
Fun fact: It takes 8 million pure sacrifices to produce 2 trombones.
I found this game extremely fun, and I'm not close to finishing the main storyline.
But I thought I need to put in a positive review for this, because it's not a game you want to miss out on, even if you think you are not the next Great Musician. Give yourself a chance, and drive your neighbors crazy.
The devs really knocked this out of the park with funny animation clips distracting one from hitting the right notes at first because literally it's hard to play AND laugh at the same time.
10/10
best fun i've ever had while playing the WORST trombone of my life
i don't know why i enjoy this game so much, it's so fun and addicting. (plus the toottally communty is nice)
This game is LIFE CHANGING. Before i played this game is was not happy. But now i have experienced this beauty of a game and now i am a whole different person. MONEY WORTH.
Wonderful game, good mod support for custom songs, wonderful built in songs. 10/10
Throughout history, there have been inventions and innovations that have shaped humanity and will be remembered for the rest of time; Fire, the wheel and now....Trombone Champ.
so goofy, so silly, 10/10 would toot again
its so goofy and i absolutely love it
Trombone sounds haunted my dreams after playing this game.
PROBABLY the funniest and unique rythm game i've ever played and when i first saw videos of it online i thought it was like some weird mod for like wii sports or something because of how the characters looked and how wonkey they move also the icing on the cake is the weird monkey obsession
Trombone Champ is a hilarious and fun little game you can always pick up, put down and come back to. You literally just play the trombone over classic, memorable tracks with new remixes and fun little twists; as well as new additions, which are treats to learn the charts of. There's a goal for everyone, like getting an "S" score, keeping your CHAMP meter up for as long as possible, or missing as little notes as possible. Super fun to come back and try again to do better, and jam along as you go.
That's not all, however! There's a short and sweet little secret story hidden in the game, which was fun to play and complete. Collect a bunch of cards, read about important trombone and music history. Battle against the forces of Chao- wait what....? Anyways, they're continuously updating and working on the game, even with the launch of this new mode where you can make your own charts! The songs already get harder as you go higher in difficulty, can't wait to see what hell people will make to ego with.
The game doesn't take itself seriously, with innuendos, jokes, little Easter eggs, and a completely understandable love and appreciation for baboons (All hail Babi). So get it. It's worth the price, especially on sale. There's fun little visuals, Things™ to unlock, and earn a whole lotta fecal material currency. You should get it and play it. Trom your bone till you can't anymore. Become the Trombone Champ.

I liked the entire thing i disliked nothing
I was born at a very young age. My life was in ruins. Every day, I would have to spend 27 hours working in a factory in order to scrounge up just a few toots, and even then I wouldn't be able to eat more than half an ounce of food each week. When I applied to band, they rejected me, stating that "No one wants a piano player in a band. Pick up a real instrument, like an accordion." Even when I tried to date someone, they would reject me on the basis of that I didn't play a mouse-based rhythm game based on an obscure instrument.
Then, I found this game. Figuring it couldn't make my life worse, I installed it. Suddenly, I was overwhelmed with the sheer power of the trombone. I played the game for so long that Steam playtime wrapped around and reset itself. Now, my entire life has changed. Instead of working for 27 hours a day, I simply boot up my computer, play this game for 0.001 seconds, and instantly become richer than any billionaire could ever dream of. I applied to band, and they changed their instrument standards in order to allow me to play Trombone Champ in band. I attended a local Trombone Champ tournament and won and I am now the most famous E-Sports player to ever exist ever. Unfortunately, I still cannot get girls as this game is based off of the most famous instrument in the world, and is thus not a mouse-based rhythm game based on an obscure instrument, so that's a point against it.
9/10 would toot again.
It's Fun
trombone good.
This is the game of all time
Guitar Hero but funny trombone go doot
Its doesn't get much better than this, its so peak.
Amazingly fun game! Hilarious and challenging, but easy to learn. 10/10
ja ich liebe it
ObamaCare approved
I love this game. I did find accomplishing the main story line to be fairly quick and simple. However, even though I technically finished it, I'm still learning new things about the game. I look forward to continuing to improve at my favorite songs, and having a terrible trombone version of Take Me Out To The Ballgame haunting my nightmares forever.
the lore traumatised me tbh
Simply amazing
This is honestly the trombone like game of rhythm games now that I think about it
good
This game is what guitar hero wishes it could be.
The songs are unhinged and off key, but things really go off the rails once you realize that there is an underlying rouge-like collectible and progression system of unlocks and weird baboon lore.
Tons of fun, hilarious and oddly satisfying.
