Decent fighting game nothing too extreme. Has some fun character creation and fighting styles to use. Not bad for the price....Oh and it has decent fan service as well
The more I play it the more I wanna play it.
It's not like GotY contender or anything, but it delivers a legit fighting game, and doesn't seem to be a button-reader that cheats like most fighting games do on high difficulties. Combos are fun, styles are diverse, and it has EX moves and Ults.
Also the girls.
Not going there. Let's just say there are girls.
...and they can be stripped.
Completely
(assuming you downloaded the missing file)
Character creator is basically Honey Select. Not sure there is anything else to say. At this point you have already made your decision. I recommend it. It has an addictive kinda gameplay I keep coming back to. My list of fighting games is getting ridiculous at this point, and I am glad I added this one to my collection.
One last note: I am not sure this version can be obtained anymore. I only know of the Special Edition now, as this one has been removed due to the jerks at Valve saying you can't have the same game twice on the Store.
This means you can't buy the more realistic looking game. Only the full-blown anime style known as the Special Edition, which I really find kind of an annoying style.
If you own this original version, you can email them to get the Special Edition free (as of right now), so I am hoping you can do it in reverse, and request the original version if you buy the Special Edition. Would make no sense if not. :-/
I really hope that is the case, cuz I like the more realistic version much more.
I love games where I can customize my character with a lot of details, this delivers on that. Maybe I am not understanding how it works, but I am having a hard time with assigning colors to the clothing parts. I cant seem to make things the colors I want. Can we only color certain parts of clothing items? It also would be useful if we could type in the numbers for the RGB area for quick selection if you know what color set up you want. That is the only gripe I have. Better color assignment and selection controls that are also more intuitive. Also, for some reason, when naming characters, the letter I doesnt work, so I cant name someone Isabelle for example.
I'm off my meds in the spooky month so I'm going to effortpost about a cheap smut game. Buckle in.
This is a hentai fighting game and in that field it excels. This isn't really a glowing endorsement because that particular subgenre is staggeringly weak because fighting games are really hard to make and even harder to make WELL. Fight Angel is nothing special gameplay wise but it's also not actively broken or dull or terrible, outside of an understandable degree of jank.
This is an H-game so it kind of rides and dies by its graphics. They're good enough. They're not terrible uncanny valley doll eyes, being acceptably stylized, but some angles are less than flattering. The artstyle is a bit renderotica asset store but it's acceptable for what it is. Clipping on clothing is rampant however, and fire effects are applied to the outermost layer of the model so you can light up a girl who's down to her skivvies and she'll suddenly have her sunday best intact while she's burning, which is not generally how fire works and is probably the biggest graphical bugbear, albeit an understandable one judging from my limited knowledge of how models and such work in this context.
Fighting is four buttons, one of which is for doing supers and one of which exclusively does your ultra special, which is a Revenge Meter that only fills when you get hit, This is fine, Ultra Fight Da! Kyanta 2 has about that much button but this game is way slower and less technical. You use meter on supers and to cancel specials to extend combos, it's nothing flashy or terribly creative or insane but it works okay. Match options are nonexistent though. You can't change the number of rounds or the timer and that's honestly pretty crap, especially when the story mode does both of these things so the setting exists in the game somewhere, we just can't reach it to modify the Versus rules.
Controlwise it struggles mightily with the Xbox 360 controller's awful d-pad, like every other game that exists, but I don't have a Neo Geo CD pad or something to use so I have to make do. Using analog sticks in a fighter is pain, as usual. Keyboard controls are, well. They're keyboard controls.
Command inputs are pretty much all your standard Street Fighter motions except, for some reason I can't understand, Quarter Circle Forward being unusually uncommon. Every character seems to use the same ones so they're all charge characters with Dragon Punches and Quarter Circle Backs. No Flash Kicks I've seen though so that's a plus because that input sucks and I hate it and every other input that involves pressing up to execute.
Menus kind of suck a whole lot, being really unresponsive at times and annoying to navigate! Worst part of the game, which wouldn't warrant mention except for the fact that the menus are so involved with the next point I'm going to touch on.
Character customization is the main selling point and it's Alright. You can use any of the pre-existing characters as a base and they cover enough ground to build on. These sliders are clunky though and the menus will make you know pain. You only have the base characters' fighting styles to work with after you've made a girl, which is understandable but mixing and matching commands would have been as cool as it would be wildly broken. I wish there were More Options for clothing parts and such but that kind of thing is best left to like, modding. Which I'm not sure the developers will ever add support for.
There's a Story Mode and it sure is a Fighting Game Story circa the early 2000s or so. I do appreciate that it actually does swap you out of the resident shotoclones twice. The English translation sucks but it gets the message across and communicates some of the characters' personalities. They're nothing special but there's definitely worse out there.
Character Selection is pretty basic. You got the obligatory shotoclones and then every other character fits into some obvious archetype or another. You got a Heavy (Zangief, Potemkin), a Savage (Blanka, Wolverine), a Kicky Chick (Chun-Li, Jam), A Drunken Master, a Fan Girl (Not actually much like Mai), someone who has a lot of Iori Yagami flavor to her, and two characters who don't seem to have much of an analog in my limited experience. They have moves and they generally work okay.
Price is Fine but wait for a sale, which is what I did. This isn't quite twenty dollars worth of Videogame yet but compared to some other games (BooB Ball is asking for twice and thrice as much for games with way less overall features and gameplay straight out of Newgrounds are you KIDDING ME) It's acceptable and there's always gonna be some kind of tax on H-Action games because they're all way more work than something in RPG Maker or such.
Overall, Fight Angel is Okay. For what it is, it's good. It's not gonna set the world on fire and it's never going to even made the EVO sidegame lineup even if you take away the nudity, but like, there's worse, less functional fighters on this very storefront and the developer could always be nice and do things like put in a real options menu so we could do best of 5 or best of 7 on unlimited timer. The best addition would be mod support, so people could put in their own clothing options and skin textures and hairstyles and so on and so forth. It's not like modding is an unknown thing to this market sector, lord knows nobody buys Illusion's stuff for their gameplay.
The game is a hilariously buggy mess, but if you join the discord and set up a scrap you too can enjoy the tiddy fighting potential, also you can make some horrendous monster faced bitches
It feels to me this game is better played with keyboard than a controller. Not sure if it was connectivity problem or controller support in this game is garbage. Apart of this the game is good, and has some options for customization. Would be awesome with Steam Workshop support.
Also, since game is adult only, I don't see any reason to not include 18+ patch(already exists) as a DLC.
Edit: It appears there are may be a reason why developers do not include 18+ patch as DLC, but I highly suggest you to install it. This game has nicely done models.
Good god wait for the game to be fixed.
I would really want to recommend this game but I cannot with the shear unresponsive, bug-riddled, garbage the controls are in this game. The devs NEED to take a step back and work of the foundation of the game before adding any new problems. Like what the FUCK are these combos? I understand that combos are meant to be challenging to pull off, but these things wont even fucking work on a good day!
The music is two songs playing on 30 second loops over and over and over and over again, would not be so bad if the loop was longer so that "discount porn jingle" and "generic rock battle music", for the love of all that is unholy extend your music tracks.
This review is liable to change in the future I will continue to play the game after each update.
As bug riddled as it is with clipping issues and scroll menus not working at all, the character creator is a lot of fun.
I enjoy games that sell themselves on T&A but I recommend that you wait a few months to a year before making your purchase.
I marked this game as recommended because I think it has potential to get a lot better.
Right now, there are some real issues which I will list, but don't forget that this game is early access and if you paid for it like me, then you get what you get, and what you got might get a lot better as the game is completed.
Before I get into my gripes, I'll mention the positives. While the stage/background graphics might not be that great, the character models are pretty good, and the physics (you know what I'm talking about you scoundrel) are bouncy and well done. The game gets into the spirit of old Capcom and SNK arcade fighters from back in the day, but I'll explain more below. Another plus, which is honestly surprising given this is an early access game, is that it actually runs on windows 10 without any problems, at least on my computer. I have purchased a few games on steam that are completed and from AAA developers that for whatever reason, just crash instantly on start up.
I have a love/hate relationship with the game's combat. I love it because it goes back to the roots of fighting games where you'd just jump around like a maniac and slam down/forward/punch or down/back/kick to get in those special attacks. The issue I have with it, is that it's incredibly clunky. I played this using a name brand dual shock 4 controller, but I found myself trying to smash the buttons down to actually get an attack in. The controls feel very, well I guess floaty/light. What I mean by that is that you need to input the move/combo you're trying to do in a strangely specific time window which I couldn't get quite right, and you only execute the desired move/combo about a third of the time. Please note that I have not tried this with keyboard controls, so it may be different.
The difficulty settings seem fairly unbalanced, as hard seems impossible, unless you pick the right character and just spam a certain attack over and over... I'm talking about that redhead that flies around and uses magic attacks. However, the rewards from playing arcade mode on hard are such a tiny bit more than playing on easy, that it would probably take you less time to earn money just replaying easy mode a few times.
The last thing that grinds my gears is the menus. Yes you read that right, I have issues with the menus of the game. When you are in the character customization/creation screen, the menus don't really work how they should. The scroll wheel of your mouse doesn't really work, and you end up having to left click and drag to scroll through the menu options, which forces you to select items you didn't want and wait until the game allows you to actually scroll to what you want so you can select it.
This game is clearly and early access alpha/beta/0.whatever kind of game, and it shows. However, I feel that the team behind it has that old school spirit of the classic arcade fighters, and have the spirit of people that enjoy games... on the lewder side. Is it worth the $20? Not really, at least not at this stage of development, but as I said, I think it has a lot of potential with time. Early access titles are a gamble, a gamble that I occasionally take, and this one wasn't a total miss, but certainly did not blow my mind. Though I am still hopeful that it will improve with time.
Game has potential, it's pretty rough around the edges right now, but the waifu material is top notch. The mechanics need to be tightened up though, and response made smoother. I'd say get this if you wanna support more eye candy fighting games.. it's really about the character creator here.
The game needs work, that much is obvious, and I hope the developers are willing to continue putting that work into this title. I recently uploaded a video to highlight some of the issues I (and others in the community) have seen that need to be addressed so the game is not a broken mess. But that's why we have Early Access to catch and adjust what needs to be rectified and, with some love, can have a much more polished game in the end.
Overall Fight Angel has a solid foundation and combo engine. Aside from the SF2 Ryu/Ken typecast concerning Yulia/Claudia, all the other characters are somewhat different and have unique playstyles. I believe a couple of characters (ie - Freya, Rosita, Una) may need an additional special move or two just to flesh that out even more.
The characters are gorgeous (duh!), the backgrounds have a lot of detail and fluidity (especially the night marketplace and the waterfall), and the controls are easy to learn. Canceling system for specials is good, but not fantastic. There are times where I do simple special move cancels, but they don't come out that way again other times. It can be inconsistent, and this is hardly my first fighting game rodeo. The windows for canceling attacks may need to be adjusted in areas because this does not come off as a game that needs strict links.
One of my concerns is that games that have formats to create custom characters (eg - Soulcalibur VI) tend to make online/ranked modes lose a lot of ground fast. Some people create unfair proportioned characters that screw up hitboxes, and it just becomes trollbait to fight against. So if this game develops far enough to have a solidly ranked leaderboard, disallow custom characters. Allow that only for unranked and/or local play.
Some of the minor things that could be adjusted (for quality-of-life):
- In-game currency gains and cosmetic prices both need to be adjusted some to make your playtime worth it. 8GP/match is annoying when many things cost 100+.
- Disallow both players being the same color palette. That makes fights really confusing.
- A few extra stage songs.
- Allow the cursor to loop on menus/character select (ie - tapping down on the last option of the menu brings the cursor back to the top, highlighting Claudia and pressing left goes over across to Yulia).
Overall, meh? A 6/10 so far. Is it worth 20$? That depends on how much you want to play create-a-waifu. I don't foresee this game getting to the heights of an SFV or Tekken 7, but it still is a lot of fun and not all fighting games need to be EVO-worthy material. I see it in that niche area like Skullgirls, DoA, or Dissidia: It's going to draw in a specific group of dedicated fans, but may not have an incredibly long-term impact as a whole.
Impressive work, this game is first of its kind that i've played that felt professionally made. The game appears very refined The controls are very responsive. The Graphics are really good, so are the designs and the backgrounds. HAs Good customization even tho i admit iv'e only played it for a short while. But so far the presentation seems to be top notch. And i think you even have to earn the ability to shred clothes and even lose it all together. Which it appears cuz i can get stuff that is completely see through but i haven't seen any clothes damage even tho its checked in options. So i would imagine its an incentive, Which would be really smart. Cuz come on now what better incentive is there? Hell i remember long long time ago buying the first DOA Volley ball game Cuz i kept hearing rumors that i could get the girls naked at a certain point.
This is a game that I have wanted for a long time and it seems that I did not even know it.
This game is early access, so I am giving a bit of leeway when it comes to a few things. Looking at the base game, I find this to be a fairly solid effort. The basic moves that each fighter uses feels like there is only a small variance between them, but Mortal Kombat was the same way with most characters sharing a large amount of the basic moves used. Some of the characters feel like they are unique while a few feel like they are still needing to be worked on as their move set is almost exactly the same as other characters at this time.
So far there are 10 characters, and I think this is a good number. The customization mode feels like it is missing something, but at the same time I see a great deal of potential here. Dressing a custom character with different clothing items was a welcome addition to this game. Perhaps this could lead toward a custom character being added into the game to augment the roster? I would like to see this happen for sure.
The available game modes are what you would expect in a fighting game, though I feel that the inability to customize things like the number of rounds or the round timer should be made available. Arcade, Story and Versus modes is certainly enough for a game but I feel like the addition of a team fighting mode or survival mode would be worth considering as well. The story within the story mode is decent, but it follows a single linear path so far. I would hope this gets expanded on as each character could hopefully have their stories told at some point.
All told, I like what I see so far. The core mechanics are in place and work fairly well, so I think with the proper amount of time and effort this project will only become better for it.
i feel like this game could become really good. but it might not. so far its a buggy mess. i hope the devs work hard on it and clean the game up. the 20$ is more of a donation in hopes they make the game better. right now the game it self isnt worth the 20$ unless you want to fund the devs. please make this game great!
I absolutely love this game. It has frequent freezing which I hope will be fixed in the near future. It never freezes while I'm playing just at a K.O. moment or end of fight. Hopefully they add more players and fighting styles. The game needs refining but it is fun and "rewarding". I feel it was worth the asking price and I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for future dlcs. Let's be honest here. These guys made a game that alot of people wished for and so let's support the effort.
This game is actually a good fighting game, I mean don't expect DOA level of polish. Its an all female cast which you could fully customize with breakable armor. It got nudity if you're into that.
Some of the girls looks to be over emphasized reactions. Would prefer natural reactions without the funny faces.
This game will be awesome when it is done. Still buggy, still needs content and optimization. I was happy to support it's development.
Definitely add a photo mode.
Casual, fairly straightforward gameplay but enjoyable.
It's pretty much a Waifu fighting game and it handles the eye candy part well, the character creation module is in fact better than SCVI's in a lot of respects. Not a lot of outfits at the moment but as stated on the store page, it's EA and more are to come.
Note that it's just ecchi, it seems the assets are here for more but as of now it's not really accessible. I suppose most of us who are here are in fact hoping for more.
Animations are a bit too stiff although it varies from a character style to another. I'm hoping this will be a point of focus during the development, as having smooth characters motions is as much important as them looking nice.
In that regard, some facial expressions can also be a bit awkward.
A single player progression mode for our custom character in the future would be highly welcomed.
Online pvp is expected but as always i'm personally wary of both the netplay and anticheat quality.
Fun game, pretty nice to look at, but probably a bit too simple and obviously requires more polish since it's in Early Access.
Would advise to buy for support if you're on the fence, not enough quality adulte-ish games out there.
edit -
After more play time i can safely say that there is a lot more to this game than first meets the eye.
Contrary to what i said originally, there is an actual character progression, through experience and stats increase.
In terms of gameplay, while it's still fairly simple, the game is designed around rewarding good timing and combo mastery, since this is the only way to successfully play the cloth destruction game, since these have their own HP bar which regenerates once you break a combo chain.
You can still win your games some other way, but no eyecandy for you.
A really good surprise.
Keeping in mind that this is still early access here is what I liked about this game, and what I hope to see come out of it.
1. This kind of game has been on my long awaited list. It incorporates several things that I wished other fighting games would have throughout time. Such as very customizable characters, in all aspects. This is something that I liked about the soul calibur series, but never felt like they really gave you enough to do what you wanted in designing the character's body, face etc like you really wanted to have it. Fight Angel accomplishes this, and have already stated they will be adding more accessories in the future.
2. It has a familiar feeling to other fighting games, and is not so complex that you can't just jump in and enjoy it. I started playing fighters back around when street fighter 2 launched and while it doesnt have the greatest counter system (i think the DOA has my favorite system for that) it is quite enjoyable. I would like to see more expansive combos and a slightly expanded move list of special attacks or more fluid combos.
3. Even with the focus being on custom characters, I would still like to see more characters and fighting styles added into the mix. The sisters fighting styles feel very similar, and I would like to have a more robust selection of fighting styles.
4. In the character customization, I would like the ability to switch back and forth from the character moving, to holding completely still. I would also like a wider range of poses, and facial expressions to allow more range in developing my custom character.
5. While I don't expect there to be a very in depth story, a more cohesive plot would be nice to have. I think that Mortal Kombat probably owns the best story telling award, and many others don't even come close. This is a title that I think I will enjoy for quite some time to come however, especially if it continues developing.
**Developer note: I noticed that in the story mode (not sure about arcade) several levels like the water fall stage, iron mill, and final level the background sounds seemed to drown out the fighting sound and character's voices.
1. Chinese game, the default menu is Chinese. But we can change the language So there is no problem with anyone.
2. The game has a menu is
.... 2.1 store to buy items, add money, can be found in the game
.... 2.2 Custom designed characters Which, if anyone plays mmorpg often, like that By selecting from the main character successfully Then sit and adjust the level Can be done from the face, shape, clothes, underwear and panty, but many things have to buy ... In addition, this modification, when saved, will allow us to put on the characters that we choose like the skin just like that
.... 2.3 Story Mode Story
.... 2.4 Every type of fighting arcade, but there are characters that have not yet been entered. Here, I do not know how the system will take to wait for updates or allow us to create.
.... 2.5 fight against each other but not sure if online can be Because of the adjustment of the network, but it doesn't seem to play
.... 2.6 practice mode
3. Character design Quite detailed It is suitable to mold, model, pretend, beautiful posture, take a picture. Hmm ... This is for people who come to dress up dolls. We like it.
4. Game system
.... The force is quite simple, with punches, kicks, simple basic combos. Enter the formula to fight the game. Fighting using the real button is 4 buttons itself.
.... The graphics are beautiful. It has a modern KOF impact playing in PS2.
But ... "But !!!" The movement is not smooth. The frame rate is strange. I want to say that I played with eye strain. Quite a bit of a jerk and the scene looks like
.... BGM .... short "I don't like"
As a doll dress up game "It works!!"
buy this game. real core values! you have your arcade mode, story mode, vs mode, training. there is a store mode but it's for using in game money you earned for customization options for your girls, new clothes etc. the customization is actually really good. the only thing i would wish for is online multiplayer. currently only local co-op and to be honest I don't think this would ever happen. since it's an indie dev. you have pretty girls. the clothing tears off and you can be down to your lingerie. combo's are very simple to do. to make the game in English at start screen bottom right corner next to language switch it to English, by default it's Japanese and you can't change after the start screen will need to re-launch game.
it's early access but it's very promising. game needs taunts and finishers. i actually wish this game was adult content game like battle raper. for an early access it's expensive $22 CAD, probably $15-20 USD. but it's worth price honestly to support the developer so he continues to add content to this game, like extra girls.
