I dont really wright reviews but I just thought this game was really cool! I enjoy the art style and the gameplay is fun and not stressfull, I also really enjoy that you can decorate how you want and it feels kinda realistic at the same time.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the game. Has some fun modeling jobs and a bit of competitive. Not much space to put most items tenets are wanting which is a bummer. Also to many things a tenet will end up complaining about lol. Overall I have enjoyed playing since I like the games were you remodel and just relax but I don't see myself playing as much as I would like to play but will keep installed so those moments I want to do a job .

The gameplay did not meet my expectations. It feels boring, and placing items is clunky and inefficient. Additionally, the renovation requests and overall game environment don't make sense to me and make frustrated, which makes the experience unenjoyable.

I just can't bring myself to enjoy this game, even though I really want to. The biggest flaw for me is the annoying puzzle aspect the devs shoved in: you're expected to perform renovations that consist on cramming objects into tiny rooms. I don't know how this works later on the game, but at the beginning it feels impossible, without even taking aesthetics into consideration.

Some other things just feel ridiculous as well, like having to keep your tenants happy by doing things like hiring masseuses and giving them gifts, like lol?? Nevermind having to clean the unit for them, while they're actively living in it. Is that something landlords do in whatever country this was made in? To me it's something out of an utopian movie and makes me want to laugh.
Also, as pointed out by previous reviews, a lot of the mechanics are just slow paced and boring (the uncle's speed is atrocious and dialogues can't be skipped), especially the property auctions.

If you're looking to decorate nice apartments or manage several properties, there are games that excel in each aspect. Not worth paying for this weird mash that's mid at best.

Cozy game. I have had this game since Early Access. It is quite addictive. If you like to manage and to decorate, this game might be it.

lack of explanation as to what am i supposed to do next in a TUTORIAL is beyond me.

I enjoyed building and managing the properties. Buy it if you want a small management sim game to play for a few days. It's worth it especially on sale. I like that tenants can have personality traits, and can be given gifts.

Though I don't think I'll play it longer because the special missions that helped unlock new items were repetitive. Also, I learned that being careful about what you put down it's actually that important (no need to center anything, and very little furniture must be placed with other furniture), so I just began to throw the required items in a room and it ruined the fun of meticulously crafting a pretty room for a client.

I purchased both the Tenants and the DLC, Pets. Gameplay is fun if a bit repetitive after a while. Mostly designing and decorating small apartments, to earn money to purchase your own, to fix up and rent out. I like that aspect. The decorating seems to place an emphasis on decorating and using small objects to enhance the "lived in" feel of a home. For example adding toilet paper, a plunger, and toilet brush to every toilet, or books to bookshelves. I find myself playing for an hour or two at a time before moving on.

I do regret buying the DLC and would not recommend it. Pets adds tasks which are more annoying than fun, like searching the entire slum for 10 stunned and dazed parrots, or figuring out how to use the mouse to "stroke" a lost pet, fix their leg, and then try to get them adopted. Meh, I could deal with less direct interaction for the pets. I do like that the tenants can have pets but in early game, when the apartments are small and cramped, there is very little room to add items pets need.

honestly i've enjoyed it. it might not be for everyone but i think its fun.

Messy, tedious, and frustrating in ways I didn't know were possible. I was really looking forward to playing this when I picked it up during the winter sale but it's not even worth the discounted price. The tutorials are nearly useless and half of the time spend "renovating" builds is fiddling with item placement to make the game happy with how accessible furniture is. Maybe the creative game mode is more worth while but the main story mode is not for me.

Love that you can decorate rooms and have to follow what the people want but can move things around to make it look like what you want.

I love the gameplay of Tenants! It's fun to design houses and rooms, while also managing tenants and buying properties. I can play for hours and never get bored!

if you want a Simulator that you can be a relator, play the sims 4 with the rent dlc.

The dialog isn't actually skippable and most of the game so far has been watching this old man walk around slowly while you click on things for him to clean. Why is that such a large and slow part of this game?

Absolutely buy this. It is a simulation that allows full control of rental units. From renovation to evictions. Gifting the tenants to sabotage of the tenants. Highly recommend this game. First time I played it I streamed it on Twitch.

i love this game

The Tenants is chaotic, fun, and strangely addictive. It’s a love-hate relationship simulator with your tenants, and honestly, that’s what makes it shine. Where you get to live out your dream of being a landlord without the real-world headaches of broken boilers, angry phone calls, or tenants "forgetting" to pay rent. Instead, you get a charming, oddly addictive sim that makes property management feel... fun?

10/10, would renovate another bathroom only for my tenant to complain that it’s "too shiny."

I wanted to enjoy this but I didnt. The UI of this game is so overwhelming when it doesnt need to be. The game hand holds and railroads you so much that you dont really get to choose stuff. Decor is not fun and managing tenants is actually super basic and boring. The synopsis lead me to believe this was a much more interesting game. Theres so much potential.

This would be a great game... if it still worked. It no longer seems to get along with the workshop, and gets stuck in the "updating workshop items" part of the loading screen. Restarting the game (and Steam) a dozen times tonight, I got the game to actually start up once. It ran until I took a job, then crashed trying to load it. I'd really like to keep my workshop items, as the base game floors, walls, and furniture get old really fast.

I really liked it before these issues started for me, but it's been over a year since people started complaining about it, and still nothing.

A pretty fun game! It does get a bit repetitive after a while, but you'll still have many many hours of gameplay!

This game looked like it was right up my alley! Fun gameplay, nice art design, management game—-however when it continuously crashed EVERY SINGLE TIME when I was in the TUTORIAL, I sadly gave up. Wish I could’ve experienced it but the game would not work for longer than 4 minutes tops. Maybe whenever a new update drops I’ll try again :/

2.5 / 5 stars. I'm enjoying the Tenants, but I don't know I'd call it a management game. It's like 5% property and tenant management, 95% interior design. I appreciate the ability and resource progression conceptually, but its definitely balanced for a game that is closer to 50% property and tenant management...

Does anyone know why my tenants are becoming un-selectable when they gain a "claim" thing? Is this a bug or is it something I am doing wrong? I can't bring up the individual tenant menus where options like "research" and "gift" are. Only whole property menus.

I absolutely love this game, but I cannot recommend it. The game is completely unfinished (there is a three part map and you can't even access the third part) and the devs have said they will not be finishing it. The game is riddled with bugs, sometimes game breaking, but there will be no future updates or bug fixes.

You can still get a lot of fun out of the game if you don't get too frustrated with bugs.

I`ve been OBSESSED with this game for about 2 weeks now. Unfortunately, i`m at a spot where the game keeps crashing. I`ve just built a 12,000 apartment in the suburbs, and during the open house my whole game crashes.

The Tenants is a relaxing and beautiful game at its core, but I strongly discourage anyone from purchasing it. I’ve started three different playthroughs and played a total of 43 hours. While the game is playable, it is riddled with bugs that severely hinder the experience.

For example, in every run I attempted, I was unable to complete the tutorial due to a bug in the “Babysitter” mission. This issue not only blocks progress but also prevents access to certain future power-ups, which is incredibly frustrating.

Other bugs frequently occur during building and renovation. Constructing walls and removing windows often results in glitches, like the flooring becoming uniform across rooms even when divided. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

The gameplay itself becomes very repetitive over time, which leads to boredom. However, these flaws would have been tolerable if the developers hadn’t abandoned the game entirely. The Tenants has received no updates for over a year, despite having an incomplete roadmap prominently displayed in the main menu. The lack of even a basic bug-fix patch feels unfair, especially when the game is plagued by issues—I personally encountered at least 15 bugs in my 40+ hours of play.

It’s truly a shame because the concept behind The Tenants is fantastic. Unfortunately, the execution and lack of developer support leave it as a disappointing experience. I recommend avoiding the game and being cautious of these developers on Steam in the future.

too repetitive and boring later in the game

Great game but is essentially unplayable as it crashes CONSTANTLY. There is s permanent message in the game that says to use the 'in game feedback tool' if you come across a bug - how is this possible when the game wont even play? Probably why it was reduced. Shame.

Highly addictive and satisfying game. If you like House Flipper you'll love this. Progress can be a little slow at times so you have to be willing to graft, which I enjoy anyway. Love the quirky jobs and the funny little details in reference to movies or other games. Super enjoyable all round!

This game was at one point one of my go to's but I haven't touched it in forever due to its current state. I would not recommend this game to anyone, even if you like this type of game. The sheer amount of bugs is insane! I bought the Pets DLC a while ago in hopes it would fix some things but it has somehow made the game even worse! I can't play for more than 10 minutes without it becoming unplayable. This game had so much promise but it is clear that the developer has no plans to ever fixing anything. All that current and past players have been/ are asking for is a playable game, but it is clear that that will never happen.

Game is fun has lots of things to explore in game.

Base game is excellent, loved looking after homes / tenants, and the customisation is good.

However, like everyone else, as soon as I tried the DLC I ran into issues.

Game bugged out, I lost my save, ran into a few glitches (some game breaking), and game would freeze on title screen, or just show me a black screen.

There is a work around, but honestly I don't think it's worth it because the devs seemed to have abandoned this game.

It was fun at first but I honestly got really bored of it after just a few days of playing it. It's very repetitive just in different areas. The whole babysitting aspect is also kind of annoying and decorating a place for a job, you can make it look incredibly ugly but still pass due to have required items, and that removes the incentive for me to want to put in the effort. I think something that could make this game better is if it decided what it wanted to be. Life sim, city building, or a managing game. When it tries to be everything, it gets very overwhelming and I no longer even feel like i'm playing a game, I just see it as a chore and a job. Sorry for the harsh criticism. Just don't see myself trying to play this game again after trying it out for 16 hours.

A mix of Sims and House Flipper, this game is highly recommended for anyone looking for another chill creative challenge game - renovate properties, take on side jobs, and generally keep your tenants happy while trying to increase your income and unlock new parts of town. It's a good mix of challenge while not being overly stressful. Seems to be slightly buggy, but there is a report bugs feature, and so far the bugs haven't caused any major crashes or loss of game play. (Actions on occasion don't register unless I leave and come back in.) The design aspect of renovations has a broad range of features and furniture to choose from, and progressing through the game continues to unlock additional items. You can also use accumulated points towards unlocking additional skills such as offering 6 month and year long leases, faster repairs and maintenance, and increased open house time.

Overall a very fun game that is easy to pick up quickly.

Although the game has that mobile game poly look, the game is actually pretty good.

I kept reading comments about bugs and i was very skeptical to buy it. after 14 hours i only encountered one and that was minor. if you like house flipper and similar games this is very enjoyable.

I understand the game has not been updated for over a year now, but the base content is quite enjoyable for me. I didn't purchase the DLC as many warned the fact that it would break the game. I don't regret getting it during a sale, decorating every little rooms, helping my tenants with their requests and slowly growing my properties. I have thoroughly enjoyed it so far.

Well, I actually quite like the game, as it seem the game is mainly abandoned or well, the publisher doesn't allow for updates etc, which also makes it impossible to get on the normal way a achievement for example etc.

In general I quite like the game but what happened with it is kinda meh and from what I figured out how stuff has developed.

Super chill and relaxing game! Is a lot more fun than I was anticipating it to be! It's become my winding down game of the night before bed! 10/10 would recommend for someone who likes simulator games!

This game is amazeballz. I have never been interested in creative games, but since my uncle is a landlord I have to say this game slays.

Mechanics are great, story is great, pets are great, building is great, graphics are great and tenants are great.

Shout out to the developers on this amazing gem... I'm sure it will grow to be a fan favourate. As for the bugs, improvements and ideas, I will post on a discussion on wt I think would be really cool along with addressing some issues in the game.

Like others have said, the DLC has broken the game. As soon as i try continue my game it hard exits to the desktop, just closes itself. Over all the game, as far as i got to play, was fun and simple.
