- An original lush orchestral soundtrack composed by Winifred Phillips (Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, God of War) and produced by Winnie Waldron

It is SHORT -- bare that in mind. You'll likely complete it inside of half an hour and I was surprised to realise it was over. It isn't amazingly scary, but it makes for a nice little "fun ride" experience. Nice character animation and a musical number.
I'm going to recommend this, but only because it is simply well done. however, if you need more than a 10 minute "game" (this is NOT a game), find something else. as it stands, this is not worth full price. even a movie rental is 10 times the length.
Its a ~20min Experience give or take a few minutes depending how much you explore.
The Game made me remember the Haunted House ride at disney, this isnt "OnRails" but it could have been, there is an onrails section with a song though.
There is little exploration and interaction, its more like a walking simulator But an interesting one.
While a bit scary, its not horryfing, it has a couple of jump scares, and a few spiders are roaming around, and well you are in a graveyard, so all around spooky, but as i said, with a certain charm.
Voice acting was awesome, really on point, but i felt the sfx/music/voice where not leveled correctly or something because i felt i missed somethings said, and there where no audio settings i could find.
Graphically, it looks great, npcs movements where pretty natural, performance with a 1080 was average, it cut to 60fps (half120) but it was pleasant and without hiccups.
Good for a couple of runs, Recommended for anyone wanting a quick spooky experience, i think this could also be a good game to show to people new to VR on halloween.
I'll be straight to the point.
Deaf Player here. Curious about paranormal (ghosts etc) and this one has caught my attention (& Interest)
Has put it on my wishlist for a good while (since 3/17/21) and got some spare money to get this.
Tried it out, and immediately opened up the options to check if it have subtitles.
Of course, to my surprise, it do not have subtitles.
It immediately hurts the experience. I ends up standing/walking through the graveyard, quite fuming. I have 3 different characters/figures talking to me, yet i cannot understand what they are practically saying to me, or even if they're singing an song to me. I can't even hear the background music/noises either.
I have no idea what is actually going on. I went with the beaten path. (literally speedran it.)
Now beside the game, i tried to contact/reach out... Guess what?
The team/company who made this-- they're practically nonexistent now. I tried to check their website. They don't have one. I tried to send a email to their "Support team" email address. I have no response so far. For goodness's sake, i'm just trying to reach out and suggest that they can try and add subtitles to this godforsaken VR experience/interactive game. It seems they COMPLETELY abandoned the game whole thing.
I genuinely want to enjoy this game, so badly. I want to be fully immersed into it. But no it has hurt my experience completely because of no subtitles.
Am even debating if i should get a refund for this...
This is a really fun Haunted Graveyard. Love the Ghost you come across in this adventure. Very well made. Based on actual events and this is a true story. Thank you
I'm quite torn on this one. It is a spooky haunted house for VR and it has a few really impressive elements as well as a few really unimpressive ones. The characters you meet are the absolute stars of the show. They are really nicely detailed (those eyes!) with lovely animation and more so than anything else I've played, you get a real sense of presence from them. The experience itself has you walking from place to place at which point you get a bit of a monologue from one of the characters. There is no story at all, but you are learning about the characters as you go. For the life of me I can't understand why an option for movement follows hand wan't included. For experiences like this it's all about taking in the surroundings and looking at the scenery. Nothing takes me out of an experience (or induces nausea) more than noticing something off to one side or another, turning to take a look and suddenly finding myself veering off in that direction, usually directly into a wall or fence. I ended up walking, stopping, looking around, walking, stopping, etc. Not exactly immersive! So yeah, outside of the outstanding character-work there isn't a whole lot happening here. There is a seasonal variation but I never got to see that as it locked up on me and I had to close the application.
If you like cinematic experiences then I'd recommend something like Gloomy Eyes over this. Also, Search for INVASION! or Google Spotlight Stories for a bunch of other free ones.
As for The Haunted Graveyard: If you are a fan of the genre then give it a go. Bugs and basic VR usability issues aside, it really does an amazing job of showing off the potential of this kind of experience. I'm just a little disappointed that they went to such lengths to create these character and then did so little with them.
This was very well done. The characters seemed so real standing in front of you it triggered that "stranger in my personal space" feeling. Spooks where scary enough to be unsettling but not so scary. Other games make the monsters a bit to scary for me and I end up quitting because I can't make it through. This is more like "Haunted Mansion" but all in a grave yard.
The trip on the boat with the ferryman was super creepy when the shadows changed his face. I was getting major Babadook vibes!
Would love to see the experience expanded to say a haunted house or something! Very well done.
The Haunted Graveyard is a short walking-only VR experience that will leave players feeling creeped out or mesmerized by its delightfully kooky characters and Disneyworld'ish dark-ride style presentation.
The Haunted Graveyard was so cute! We walk through a series of scenes of graveyards with creepy ghosts and tombstones as we are guided by three adorabley dark characters, each voice acted and motion captured. The characters are funny and memorable, I was left wanting to interact with them more.
I was pretty impressed that this 15 minute long experience kept me consistently entertained, but didn't have any loading screens after its initial startup. While I'm aware it's not amazing new technology or anything, I did enjoy the fact the mocapped characters were able to make eye contact with me as I moved my head around and they kept talking.
Haunted Graveyard does not have subtitles, however, which would normally seriously detract from my score of the game if it had cost more than $3 on sale, or if took longer than 15 minutes to play through. But since Haunted Graveyard was such a delight to creep my way through, I'm definitely recommending it - especially on sale.
(played on Quest 2 through Virtual Desktop)
While it's more like sitting through a VR movie than it is a game, the demonstration of the technology combined with the obvious ability of the team to create a really neat atmosphere is well worth the $5 ticket price I paid for the experience - an investment I figured for the team to efforts like this in the future.
At least now I know that one day there is somebody waiting for me at the graveyard!
Nice spooky ride, not too scary. Also an extended winter version included.
This is a great experience for Halloween! I really enjoy the singing part. I am so happy I got this experience on sale. ! It is very short and I wish there was more of the story since the characters are very cool!
It was very cute and worth the $1.50 I paid. Feels a lot like a Disney ride. The voice acting and motion capture and facial animations were great.
It basicly is like a half an hour disney ride. There's singing, jump scares and good humor! I can highly recommend this game to anybody he wants a good giggle and scare. I hope they make more of thise, this was a lot of fun!
I didn't expand/read the description fully and wasn't aware this isn't much for interactivity but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The environment is beautiful and for the price, a decent VR walking simulator sounds about right.
EDIT: I should clarify I got this on sale.
This was a well made experience, perfect for Halloween. The character animation and voice acting was spot on - even better than the developer's previous impressive VR short. I was expecting a slightly longer experience at the price point, and perhaps a little more room for exploring some new scares.
I found the movement system pretty nice overall and it felt fairly natural. I kind of would have liked the option for snap turning for my 2 sensor rift setup, but even without it I had no problems getting around. There was a minor bug with the menu not allowing input, but pressing A started the experience without it.
The price might be a little high if you're buying for just yourself (not a huge amount of replay value), but if you're buying this to have something "spooky" in your library for visitors or parties, it's well worth it. Think of this like you would think of a ride through Disney's Haunted House. It's on rails, but that's what this is: a VR amusement park ride. Thought of this way, 20 minutes isn't bad. Nothing graphic here...even a bit of humor. A few scary moments, mild for adults, but ok even for younger kids who consider themselves brave. As others have said voice acting is very good, and the boat ride reminded me a little of the boat ride in the old Willy Wonka.
I would like to see just a bit more fleshing out. Perhaps more spooky things going on in the background, variety and animation of ghosts, and maybe a bit more atmosphere in the sound. But these are relatively minor things.
If Disney hooked up with Tim Burton then this would be their love child.
Great graphics, beautiful soundtrack, extraordinary voice acting and you're strolling through a graveyard late into the night. It's a little light on the scary side, heavy on the campy side and the devs promise more to come.
The eyeballs on the characters are disturbingly realistic and by far my favourite facet of this title. Check it out, but don't expect gore or gross out horror - it's not that kind of game...
This is a short theatrical VR experience with great visuals, sound and voice acting.
Although a halloween horror, the fear level is probably pitched at around the 5-10 year old mark as for the most part it is all tension building. So, a good family experience for halloween.
Downsides are the movement blinders that reduces the FOV to basically straight ahead only, and the arm swinging movement which doesn't really require arm swinging, just hold the trigger to keep going.
When I was playing it I did think "this is highly polished for a free download", but coming back to write a review I can see I paid about £4.50 for this. The production values are quite high in this short experience though, so it would be unfair to moan about a few pounds entry fee!
Ok halloween coming up so I bought this.
First note there does not seem to be a teleport option, you can only glide with arm movements. They narrow your vision when gliding to help stop motion sickness but I still felt a bit wobbly at the end. Took me about 25 minutes to wander through
The experience is just you moving forward and talking to the three ghosts pictured in a grave yard. The actors were good, very character driven, and the graveyard is nicely spooky. Note you dont get much chance to expore off the path as you are blocked by fences etc.
There are extra ghosts that appear for scares but this is not a scary experience. This is an experience you would have with your kids (guessing 12 and up) for halloween fun.

*** UPDATED REVIEW 1/9/2019 ****
I just wanted to update my review given the dev's updates to the experience. The biggest thing is that there are now options in the menu. You can choose whether you want arm-swing locomotion or full locomotion with snap turning. You can also choose the Winter Holiday option which gives a bit of Christmas cheer to the experience (and an extra musical number!). They also completely re-worked the scary tomb scene optional path. It's so much better than the original! This is a must buy if you're into animated cinematic VR experiences!

Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This game is selling itself short labeling itself as for VR beginners. This is one of the best, if not the best, VR cinematic experiences. Amazing visuals, memorable experience, this app is perfect to get in the Halloween spirit. The whole thing takes about 19 minutes and it's enchanting throughout with triple A production values. Although the normal price of $9.99 may be a bit too much for what it is, keep in mind we've never really had anything like this in VR. Quality, top-notch animations with good voice acting.
You traverse the entire world on a mostly linear path (although you do get to choose a path along the way - the choice is obvi ... take the scary path). Locomotion is by arm swinging (ugh!) and it has a vignette effect when walking (double ugh!). It also feels like you're skating instead of walking. I do recommend you do this app standing versus seated because movement is directed by where you're gazing. So look to where you want to go and swing your arms. There's really only one interaction that I can think of outside the brief tutorial and that's holding the lamp light.
The entire world is beautiful, just VR perfection. From the scenic vistas, to the character models, to the animations. Kudos to the 3D model artists. Even the lips are synced appropriately to the dialogue. I thought the actors did great, but there was one problem where it seemed the voice volume wasn't always correct (like they were far away when you're actually close to them).
And I haven't even mentioned the best part. There's a really awesome musical number. Seriously. I don't even usually like musical numbers. But this one was superbly done and something about VR just makes it that much more enjoyeable. There was also one jump scare that really got me good. Mostly because I was not expecting it from this app. I almost jumped from fright.
Rate 8.5. I was smiling from ear to ear throughout. The only reason I am giving it a 8.5 instead of 9 is because of the locomotion, audio (at times), and the vignette effect when moving that you can't turn off.
