Awesome game! Basically a topdown rally/Carmageddon/roguelike, that will give you OMRS (One More Race Syndrome).
- Reminds me of Carmageddon on game boy, but with more content and much more variation. You get new opponents, tracks and challengues each new game.
- The driving has some depth to it and the cars feel different to drive, so it's not something as simple as a pure arcadey game like the old Micro Machines.
- You can customize paint jobs, create your own cars and levels, and set your own portraits for yourself and the AI to choose on a new campaign.
- A lot of options to tailor the game to your liking, like disabling weapons for the whole campaign, for example.
The best is that if anything of that sounds good to you, you can give it a quick try with the demo Bloody Rally Show: Prologue. So go for it!
(The game is DRM free and I play my games offline anyway, but Playnite shows around 8 hrs. of playtime.)
Bloody rally show is bloody fun. I completed a campaign on normal. The races are chaotic and always surprising. However I do wish the economy in the game was more demanding or gave you more options to spend your money. I never really felt any pressure on my bank account. It would also be fun if there were more tactical paths in upgrades than just buy the latest thing always. Typing this out now I might have to try a higher difficulty someday.
It's pretty mid. It's fun in a way that only top-down rally games could be, but I'm not a huge fan of the Running Man schtick. If it was just a pure rally sim I'd probably play it more.
Interesting game, but too expensive considering most of tracks are generated by program and game mechanism are kinda dull, better buy this on sale.
Was primed to write a positive review because the game is great, it really is. I have been having a great time with it. But then randomly far into my hardcore campaign there was some kind of save file corruption that entirely eliminated my playthrough. I don't know the cause. Maybe it was my computer but I highly doubt that. It just seems a game as simple as this shouldn't have any issues with something as menial as save files. And I couldn't find any way to retrieve or save the prior file. It was just gone, entirely. With the amount of effort I put into the game to only have it vanish. Yeah, negative review.
