Love this game! Had so much fun with it. Like a nice B-action flick. Rough edges, but not really trashy. The random loot, level up system keep you on the line. Scrap and utilize items, work with ressources, create new stuff. Great score for the military feel. Try it.
Surprisingly good. Bit rough around the edges but supports co-op.
Honestly purchased for myself and some friends not thinking much of it but turns out it is a VERY solid tower defense game. One of the only coop TD games on the market that I could find. Its simple and old school and does those things very well. Voice lines and dialogue is cheesy but go read a history book if you're looking for a good war story. The devs def tuned it incredibly well too where you really have to min/max your layouts and upgrades later in the game. Trying to get through the whole thing on hard mode currently. Bravo! Great job.
This is a grindy, ugly, and not terribly difficult TD game. It brings nothing new to the table and doesn't ever get challenging enough to be fun (as long as you've done enough grinding to deal with difficulty scaling).
I stubbornly played through several levels (and accidentally left it running in the background for hours) but don't believe I will bother with the rest.
Not sure why it's received so many favourable reviews.
Very good game, since i got it, cannot stop playing it until i finish the campaign :D
There is some innovation here, but it's overshadowed by tedious pacing, graphics that haven't been considered from a gameplay point of view, obtuse mechanics and a general lack of sympathy for the player who doesn't automatically 'get it'.
This game has a lot more depth than I thought it would.

Got this for 80% off and it seemed like it should have been the normal price. I was having a little bit of fun, but really wishing the game had more speed options (3,6,8x would have been great). I Got thru the first chapter and was wondering how long this would keep me interested. When i started chapter 2, I got a game breaking, forward progress stopping bug and decided to refund. I played on steam deck, so if you get this, you probably want a machine better than the deck. Its not bad really, kinda scratched the itch I had for another Defense Grid 2.
The game looked appealing and some of the reviews sounded really good. I am fan of Tower Defense games and pulled the trigger on this one.
However, a few immediate issues resulted in this review.
Having a GTX2070 Super that was at 95%-99% load with graphics ranging low to Ultra. I did the first level without issue, but when I loaded into the second map, I noticed my temps spike and fans went to max. Tweaked the graphics to be lower but it barely dropped in usage (95%). I am not going to stress my GPU for a simple TD game. Hopefully this is an EA issue and gets sorted out later on, but that's not good in my book. Still, I can run Apex Legends on maxed out settings and see 85%-95% load. A TD game demanding more of my card is wild. Side note, 64GB DDR5 and Ryzen 9 5900x were barely in use, it was all on the GPU.
Also, the pace of the game. Even with 'Fast' speed, everything is slow. On a TD kick lately so I have been trying out a bunch of others and most of those have a faster baseline speed than this ones 'Fast' setting. While not a huge issue as I am sure it might get better in later levels where that speed is good, but it's rough to start with.
The devs have been working on the game and last I played, it seems to be working better! Its fun, no doubt!
Fun game needs a bit of polish to make it grate hope the devs are still working on it!

Game has good promise. Lots of options, different commanders that have different towers, upgrade paths and crafting / building of unique towers. Random spots that buff / debuff. But the part that kills it is the game becomes massively unbalanced on HARD in the US map. You simply do not have enough resources (money / fuel) to build what is needed to counter what is coming. Not just men / tanks but robust anti air to shoot down insane number of rockets that will come at you from spawn points. The only counter I see to this is to go back to normal and grind through some custom map generation to get levels to increase starting money / fuel - but this just sucks all the fun out of it and just gets frustrating thinking I will have to spend hours grinding through the same levels.
They also need some way to set a priority target for the towers. (closest, strongest, air vs ground). Towers will be shooting at an enemy closing in on your base then switch to another target w/o killing the one about to go into the base.
Adding: on the 3rd custom generation maps - they again are from my perspective unwinnable. They are big but there is only a direct path from the spawn to your bunker. Level 10 of these are hell with this armored crocks and giant spiked balls that takea massive amount of damage to take them down (and there are 10 of each of those and smaller ones and air) and you simply do not have the time due to the direct path to take them down. maximum I got on level 1 was 2 balls before they hit the bunker.
Fix that unbalance and this would be one of the better tower defense games out there.
The developer badly, terribly, agonizingly, excruciatingly, insufferably needs to fix the tower deletion glitch in multiplayer!
When you delete a tower, you should be able to see it disappear and then you should be able to place a new tower! It hampers gameplay when the tower remains as a glitchy artifact, obstructing new tower placements. It has lost me and my friends at least a dozen games so far.
Other than that, the game is great.
It's a tower defense game where you can alter the course of the approaching army by building barricades. You can also hopefully delete those barricades (if you're the luckiest creature on the planet and your deletion succeeds, which is rare in multiplayer) and replace them with guns and bunkers. (You know, once every few hours when your deletion actually works!)
It's fun when it works. But the bugs kill the joy.
Really good. Plenty of variety and lots of levels. Graphics are laggy on occasion, which they shouldn't be, and the controls are a bit too responsive, but I'm sure you can do something about this in the Settings, I just haven't looked yet.
Nice addictive tower defence - scratches the itch as well as/better than most. Has more conventional looking armies than the usual aliens or whatever, which was a nice change (still not wargame-realistic but it's tower defence). Fair few maps in the campaign - kept me interested (about halfway through).
This is one of the most fun and addicting games I've ever played. Perfect for all fans of the TD genre, and honestly, this game is a perfect introduction if you have never played a tower defense game before. The game design, the old school aesthetics, the phenomenal soundtrack, the whole package is fantastic. I happened to buy this on sale, and 80 hours in I have to say the value I got out of what little I paid is absurd.
The developers have every right to be proud of this game. Leave it to a country with a strong sauna culture to put out a concept so simple but so well-executed. Finland, Best Land.
Well, as a self-professed TD game addict, with lots of games to compare it to, this game stands out as one of the best overall Tower Defense games I've played. It's a hidden gem that offers tons of varied action, ops for challenge (lots of replay ability), appealing story line, immersion and just plain fun. And, unlike many TD games I've played, even after the learning curve I have not felt bored with any level because they are all so varied and different.
The graphics are truly outstanding with a wide variety of enemies, weapons and maps (albeit IMO per the Early Access version, there needs to be some tweaking on gamma (adjusting within the game graphics, ie. shadow, worked great for me). The only other criticism (and this is being very picky) would maybe if they tweaked the zooming and angle controls for better visibility (I wanted to really check out some of those strange and awesome enemies)
So, yeah, Bunker Defense is the BEST TD game I have played in years, if not all time and I highly recommend it to any TD gamer even at it's early access because already it is well worth the price of admission.
Not a bad game, but it's not receiving updates anymore, probably didn't sell well, it's a shame.
It's an old school tower defense with loot, not a bad idea.
I tried an older version of the game and it had a bug that made the game freeze. I don't remember how to reproduce it, but it wasn't really game breaking.
I probably return to it and finish it.

Nice tower defense. This game builds off of what I already love about the TD genre and throws in some new aspects, like a card system that adds modifiers to your towers/abilities.
I think it has a good mix of strategy vs struggle. I felt challenged enough to try different strategies, but not so challenged that it was frustrating. It also seems like the enemies and maps are trying to prevent a meta build by requiring you to switch towers/commanders. I like that, as the planning is part of the fun.
I think this one could be a real gem as it keeps developing. Don't get me wrong, as is, I think it's worth the buy.
If i look from Defence grid perspective thhen this gema have much more freedom, multiple sets of defending weapons, so legit new tower defence game, but i belive developers aee not show yet whole map.
It is what it says on the tin. It's an old school tower defense. If you like that kind of game, this is great.
The price point for this type of game, with a lack of towers and such, is ridiculous....
