This is the sequel to "The Legend of Bean".
Our story focuses on the adventures of three young girls named Firoro, Mirumiru, and Kukuri. They were students at the most advanced magical academy at Card Arden, the Sea Empire. Firoro made an extremely bold decision with serious consequences, which led to her embarking on a great adventure with her own life at stake... as a fugitive fleeing from the academy.
After the end of "The Legend of Bean"
Kaim and Azal were unable to get used to the court life, so they gave up their lordship to become mercenaries wandering the lands. Unfortunately, they had to subsist mainly on grass, living a rather plain lifestyle... but that eventually changed when they met the three girls from the magic academy. A new story was to begin for them, as well.

Eh, I like the amusing plot and characters. It's a refreshing break from the dark and serious plots of other RPGs I've played or watched on Youtube but I wish there were more illustrations of the characters in the game (there was just 1 for each character). Though more importantly, what's worse was how the story ended without something like a actual final dungeon and final boss .
I mean, the end of the story is funny with how Fatima got her cake eaten by the two mercenaries in secret but I feel that that shouldn't be the end of the game. I thought there would be more after beating Venonat and making the cake
I mashed a button throughout the game until 1st game over
A lighthearted, pleasant, cute game, but it's poorly, and incompletely translated. Any sense of story is lost through bad translation. I'd give it another try if it were rewritten.
On summer sale 2021 I was looking for cheap jrpg games to kill time, so I bought this one. I started, did something and quit.
After a long time I have finally gathered to finish this game. The reason I left is just that it bored me, and when I finally passed it I wouldn't say I was wrong. Still boring. Storyline is just not interesting, the game itself is definitely too easy for me, fighting is unbalanced etc etc. But for me the worst thing in game is that we can't even see our enemies HP at least to see for how long are we gonna fight. Aaand there is only one, main quest. The translation is also not the best, but personally I don't mind.
Well, there's also a bright side. Animations in battle look really fine, and so does characters portraits (still there could have been more facial expressions). Maps are also well done, I liked The Adventure of Magical Girl aesthetically.
For less than one dollar on sale, it's really fine and cute, but don't expect too much.
disclaimer: i have 8hrs only because i was afk for long once, i'd say that i spent only ~4-5 hrs
Pros
+ The game is pretty short which makes for a decent casual experience if you've played a lot of RPG Maker Games.
+ The poor translation does result in some funny lines sometimes.
+ The game relies on touch encounters which is a nice change of pace from random encounters every now and again.
Cons
- The poor English translation makes understanding what's going on in this game a bit more difficult then it needs to be.
- And the casual nature of combat in this game means battle tends to come across as rather dull and tedious after a while.
- And even if the translation problems didn't exist the story is pretty weak even for a game meant to be comedic.
Overall
* I'd say the pros and cons in this title tend to balance themselves out. As a result the game just comes across as rather average in my opinion. So much so that I really wish I didn't have to pick between a thumbs up or a thumbs down when giving an opinion on a game, but my default choice when dealing with "meh" titles is to just give a thumbs down since people could be spending their time on much better games.
And if your looking for a good RPG Maker game on Steam I'd recommend "Remnants of Isolation".
This game is a parody. So I didn't expect to play an grand adventure.
But for most parts the game was fun to play. It is an very easy RPGMaker game. Once you reach a certain level you just browse through every fiend.
The best part is....the dev didn't use the ATB from the first game.
The game is too short. +-3 hours for all achievements.
The normal monster fight is easy,
While the boss fight is a bit hard, especially.
The comedy part is good, but im looking for solid rpg game like king exit
I tried playing this game for a few minutes and I like it a lot better than The Legend of Bean. It has much better graphics and easier combat and I like how there are arrows pointing in the direction you need to go to help keep you from getting lost. I bought this game on sale for fifty cents and it is definitely worth the money I spent on it.
The game is short, and effort was put into some of the maps, and that's the only good thing I can say about it. And for such a short game, I'll give it a short review on all of the bad things in it.
The characters are uninteresting, as the creator(s) seem to believe that a quirky personality trait makes up the entire personality.
The story is incoherent and the creator(s) try so hard to be funny one would think they're trying to impress their kindergarten classmates.
There are a number of maps that are just copy and pasted from "The Legend of Bean" right down to the chests and item pick ups. Yes, this happens in the same world, but if it happened after those events, then things are supposed to change.
The one thing that "The Legend of Bean" had going for it, the battle system, is no where to be found here.
And this is not a sequel, as no one needs to play "The Legend of Bean" to understand anything that goes on here, except some bad jokes that honestly no one would care about anyways.
For 2.99, I can't recommend this. If you can get this on sale for .50, I still can't recommend it. Go buy yourself some gum or something.
It's just a generic RPGMaker game, but you can tell that the dev pour their heart for this.
All the characters are cute, the map is quite interesting. Definitely worth buy.
Poorly translated, not very well balanced, nothing inovative with the gameplay but still decent, the way the plot doesn't take itself too seriously can make it a funny experience, the worst thing about it is definitely the weird unecessary achievements, that even bugged for me once, I had to replay a part of the game to get some of them. Extra points for cute anime girls
Its a fun, cute game. Its not too long so you can finish it in an evening.
There are some translation errors but it doesn't take away too much.
I was disappointed with the ending though, but overall it was a fun play.
The game isn't difficult, it's more something to play when you are bored.
The story isn't deep either, it seems to be more of a parody, especially when it comes to the 'Magical Girl' aspect which is just changing one's color template to pink that is basically just mentioned and has no impact on story or gameplay.
As for the translation... it is bad. It's still understandable, but seems to have been translated by an elementary school child.
Nevertheless, if you are searching for something to pass time and this one is on sale, I say, it's better than nothing and might even get a small chuckle out of you!
It doesn't try to be much and for what it is in combination with the price, it's good for passing time as I said, but it won't blow your mind or anything.
Like a year ago, I found this game, but I forgot, why I didn't wishlist it, to bookmark it, now that I played it, I remember why I didn't want it in my wishlist.
I'm not a friend of story lines, but this is game is just me trying to create a story line using set amount of characters for a lego comic in 2008, when I was 11; endless chasing with no context of why continue the chase or why the game is pretty much a single line of just going forward. The best the characters can say are very short lines of maybe 3 words and the chase continues. Most moving npc's can't speak, but most npc's are moving npc's, so very few random lines or jokes come from non-shop npc's.
tldr at the bottom if you're that lazy
I went into this game thinking that it would be a decent RPG Maker game from the images shown. My entire life I've been playing many different RPG Maker games, and this one is painfully mediocre.
My first few minutes with this game were actually good. The person who made this game seems to have an idea how to use RPG Maker. They are adept at designing maps and the travel is very quick. The battles are also very quick, which isn't a necessarily bad thing, however it can be done very poorly (more on that later) and there are many boss battles as well.
However, this game suffers from miserable balancing, where enemies at the beginning of the game do little to no damage to you, have a very high item drop rate, and can give a truckload of experience. Most enemies can be defeated in one attack.
But when battles aren't very short, they are very, very long. Boss battles are frequent occurances, and they can be up to 5 minutes of pressesing the same 2 button. Magic in this game is broken, once again, magic being strong isn't always bad, but spells do so much damage for so little mana. Firoro gets spells very early on that decrease your enemy's defenses, and their attack damage to ensure bosses can never kill you.
The translation is bad, like really bad. This game was originally in Chinese (no not Japanese) and the translator must have been extremely drunk, as things they say are legible at best and nonsensical at worst. This can sometimes be humorous to see the bad translation, but it sometimes makes it difficult to decipher an actual story out of the game.
tldr: This game looks cute on the surface and the maps are really well designed, but gameplay itself is lackluster as the game has terrible balancing. The translator was also drunk.
Typical RPG Maker game, but does have some really pretty graphics, and easy to understand battles. The story is quite interesting , and the world is large with plenty to explore.
The good:
1- This is a short RPG maker game. - I don't mean it is bad because of this -.
2- Some parts of the game are polished well: for example the animation during battles.
3- no random encounters. You only fight an enmy when you collide with it - which i think is good -.
The bad:
4- Sadly it seems it suffers from the same problem that many other rpg maker games have: the game is not balanced. I mean you could quickly level up and breeze through the game and care not for any strategy while fighting.
5- Another issue is the story: which is very poor.
6- No side quests
7- Finally I got the feeling that this game needs some polish before releasing.
I am really feeling bad for giving this game a negative review, but this is how I felt while playing it. I think this game could have been much better if it had a better story.
Short, fun, casual game.
It's easy enough that you don't need to grind for hours and there are no complex mechanics. It might even be too easy, but I guess it wouldn't be casual anymore then. The story is funny enough with no deeper meaning, and it is not the worst translation I've ever seen. Navigating the levels is pretty fast and there's even a map for fast travel.
For 2€ you get a decent enough game, matching the price.
This is a super short game. Like, 3-5ish AT MOST hours, if you feel like grinding. Typical RPG Maker game, but does have some really pretty graphics, and easy to understand battles. Your character moves quickly on the map, which is nice, and you can fast travel to towns you've previously visited. The story is meh, but is almost humorous due to the poor translations. Overall, not terrible for $3, but I'd wait for it to go on sale if you're really wanting to play it.
The Adventure of Magical Girl is a pleasant JRPG/RPGMaker game, providing several hours of gameplay and entertainment.
It has a cute story and it's not very hard to beat.
Achievements are quite easy to unlock too.
It looks like a sequel to The legend of Bean though it's not necessary to have completed that previous game to fully enjoy The Adventure of Magical Girl. However, both games use the same world and map so it's a bit easier when you've already completed The legend of Bean because you're already accustomed to that universe.
As far as the English version is concerned I'll repeat what I wrote about The Legend of Bean : I don't care if the grammar isn't perfect, I'm not expecting the same language level as in a book. Dialogues are perfectly understandable and that's enough for that kind of games. I only regret that the achievements description is not translated but most of them are story related. That's all we need to know ;).
I wasn't sure what to expect from a $2 game but I am happy with what I got for the cost. It is very obvious the game was translated to English because of the many grammatical errors but I have still enjoyed playing so far. In fact, it has made the game sort of humorous for me. Simple, easy to play and interesting story.
I am making videos of my gameplay! The first one can be accessed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JswIUIeoIrw
