Raccoo Venture is a fun 3D platformer that brings the nostalgia from 1990s in a playful and puzzle-filled world.Defeat multiple enemies and challenges, find new outfits to customize the hero, discover new friends who will help you on this journey to recover the holy relics.
Discover your true destiny through a journey full of magic and secrets. Save Verta's Harmony and prevent chaos from returning to the land. But be careful! Many puzzles and enemies will cross your path.
Everything is balance
In the beginning, the world was made of chaos. Creatures born from nature's disturb dominated the whole land of Verta and fed of disorder.
Then came the Guardians, who united their powers and created a sacred relic, so powerful that it was able to contain the unpredictable forces of chaos, bringing balance to the world. The creatures were contained, Verta became fertile and all animals could live in harmony.
This relic was made by equal fractions of goodness and wickedness, and to not fall into the evil hands, the Guardians divided it into small pieces and hid it in the middle of the forest. From this day on we have never heard about the Guardians again and they have become a legend.
Years later, creatures known as Tattooed Tatus have found the relic and the balance of the world now is in great danger.
Only the sole heir from the power of the Guardians is able to prevent that from happening.

An ancestral tribe, named Visgo Vesgo, spread many of its magical items throughout Verta. They say that some of them are so hidden that it would take centuries to be found. Little is known about the reasons for being there and their true powers.

Raccoo Venture is an absolutely brilliant game! It reminds me of Super Mario Galaxy with that sense of being just a little bit hard at times, followed by a little dopamine pop of accomplishment. The art work is lovely and the level design is ingenious at times. Even though Raccoo is a new and unknown character, I'll buy every DLC, sequel or game that Diego Ras puts out. I'm stunned to think that Diego Ras is the lone developer. Imagine if there were 10 of him working on one game. Diego has a bright future and it will be fun to follow his career.

the game is nice, good controls, interesting puzzles and challenges, most of the saci puzzles are bullshit but they're optional, there's at least one fun minigame

Writing this review after completing the first level. Loved what I played, simple and cute graphics, whimsical music, good puzzles, the only thing that took me some time to adjust was the fixed camera. However this in the end works in its favor as that helps it feel like an old Psone, N64, or Dreamcast game. I miss the 90's with all the mascots running rampart and companies trying to come up with their own Mario/Sonic games. I hope these kind of games can stay viable cuz it doesn't all need to be shooters and super serious AAA games. Sometimes I just want to collect things and jump around. I appreciate what the developer was trying to do here and he did a good job.
Racoo Venture starts of strong, with a decent art style and solid collect-athon platforming. However, by the end of the second world, the platforming gets more challenging and flaws start to show. It's a 3D Platformer with a fixed camera angle, which can work, but Raccoo Venture does not design its levels well around this. The amount of times you need to jump towards or away from the camera increases, and is exacerbated by transparent platforms that don't show a shadow for your guy (Raccoo?). Add in small landing zones where your shadow isn't visible until you are about to land, and moving platforms that are only visible if you are right next to them, and the challenge becomes frustrating due to the lack of camera control. It ends up feeling like you are intuiting where Raccoo is in the 3D space, rather than having actual visual cues to rely on.
I've replayed the early levels several times since they were fun, but I always drop off after the fixed camera leads to too much frustration. There was a lot of potential with this game and a lot of hard work went into it, but after exiting early access, it's just not very fun.
When I was playing I kept telling myself this is an Early Access game, it felt like an actual finished product. Looking forward to the full release of this 3D platformer.
very good game but i've played it in its early days when it was free on gamejolt but damm this game is very laggy and i have a very beefy computer also it doesent have PS4 controls they show it as xbox controls which for many people is quite crappy so i do not really recommend this game. For now atleast.
Very fun and beautiful game. I love 3D Mario games and enjoyed it a lot.

This game is so much fun and addictive. It has the vibe of Mario 64, but mixed with its own special charm.
The developer is very thoughtful and caring about the game and the community.
Although it's on early access, so far I haven't seen any bugs, hence the care the developer has for the game.
I can't wait to see how it'll evolve to the final release.
Raccoo Venture is a funny and challenging 3D platformer with a lot of references to brazilian culture (such as Cangaço and the legend of Saci Pererê). However, the game can get a bit too challenging at some points, so be prepared for rage quitting a few times.
I am really enjoying this game so far. I'd love to see a greyed out area on the map when you hover over a level to let me know if I've collected the grandpa's journal page in that level or not. And it would also be helpful to know how many items that go in the chest in raccoo's house are in each level. I think they're called something that starts with an S. lol. Sorry, I don't remember the name. Other than that I love the game. It's great to play. I can't wait to explore more and to be able to play through the entire game once it's all released.
I'm not sure how far I am into the game so far but I'm at world 3 level 3 and it's been a completely enjoyable 3d platforming experience so far. Completely happy to have made this my first early access purchase and cannot stress how worthy this developer is to have your support if you haven't bought this game yet.
I can't wait to see what's next and for the game to be finished. New mechanics introduced in World 3 took me by surprise and add another great layer that is both familiar and challenging.
If you enjoy Mario, Spyro, Super Lucky's Tale, and other games of this genre, you will enjoy Racoo Venture. I do :)
Overall:
This game is so good that I just can't belive it was developed by a single guy. It has no bugs at all, and that's only one of its strong points. It remind me of Crash Bandicoot, Star Wars LEGO, Sonic, Super Mario, and Fall Guys, in this order.
The jogability is gorgeous and precise. The replayability is awesome, and also is the learning curve. What about the soundtrack? I actually bought this game because of it. Lukan Peixe's songs are transcendent.

I loved every minute of it! This is a great game made with a lot of love and passion!
The controls are extremely stiff and lack precision.
The frame rate is extremely slow. I know its a beta but the game does not run smooth. My machine is a 4k 60fps beast and this game runs with 15 fps drops at times.
Bugs, I know its a beta but more than once the going into the characters room bugged out and I had to reload the level.
It's hard to stand in the right spot to pick up the items. If you are going to make that such a required function then when you are near one you need to be able to pick it up. Even if you are standing slightly off or not facing them perfectly. Its a very frustrating feature.
The characters are UGLY. I mean my 6 year old said he thought the game looked dumb before I booted it up because of how ugly that raccoon is.
The collectibles stopping you from going to the next levels all of a sudden is a huge red flag.
How can you miss 4 of the 5 required items when going through the levels?
Obviously they want to force you to go back and replay the levels over and over.
It is WAY to early to already gate keep the second world when the items required are not in any way simple to notice.
I went through each level and searched everywhere I saw each time. To have 4 mission hidden items means they hid them in a way that is not alright for a simple platformer.
FIX:
1. Fix your character designs and visuals before its to late. Visually the characters and art are a turn off considering how simple a fix it is to make them not look just off and weird. Hire a new concept artist if you need. I would be happy to help with that.
2. The controls are stiff and its hard to position yourself to pick things up quickly.
3. Don't gate-keep with collectibles already within the first world. Choose one collectible to use as the currency to unlock worlds not two. Also do not hide them so well that by the time you reach the first block you have all of one kind but none of the other. It is very bad and a turn off to continue playing the game.
4. Frame rate is terrible.
I love these kinds of games. A hat in time was my favorite recently released indie 3D platformer. I hope this to be one of those games I love as well.
Take advantage of early access and fix these simple things. The characters look like country bear jamboree rejects. :(

I didn't find anything.
Raccoo Venture is in early access and is unfinished, but other then the "to be continued" sign, it doesn't feel that way.
The mechanics work well, reminiscent of those 3D platformers we played on the N64 and the like. It also just looks good. I have encountered one bug in 10 hours of play (and it was minor and almost missable).
Some players will get extremely frustrated with the bird character, Pru. She is a puzzle in herself, and I hope she gets better farther into the game. We can unlock air bubbles, so maybe stamina can be unlocked later too.
The last level available currently unlocks an interesting mechanic with flowers. It has some use now, but I look forward to how else it will be used.
I'm sitting at 86% completion right now. I plan to come back and keep looking while I wait for the game to update with more levels.

This was everything I love in a platform game. Perfect controls, good sized levels with enough cunning secrets to keep you coming back, clear objectives, and wonderful music. The swimming really surprised me. When I saw the water I thought "Oh, no", but it works flawlessly.
I couldn't fault it, until I reached the level with the dirty bird.
Would I recommend the game? YES. But be prepared to rage quit when you meet that asthmatic pigeon.
This is a great and really impressive work by a single dev. The fluid gameplay mechanics with beautiful art and a cool story makes it a great deal for the price. Really worth checking it out!
