About the Game
AegisM is a competitive, balanced and stat heavy tower defence game with a twist. It combines tower defence with a wave survival/top down action shooter and then adds more new and exciting elements to the mix. Work alone or team up with others to work out the best strategy to achieve the highest scores on the never ending survival leaderboards. AegisM is unlike other tower defence games; there are no waves of enemies, it's never ending, gradually getting harder and harder until you can't survive anymore and your strategy fails you.
Build towers your way
You can change all of the stats on each of your projectile based towers. Upgrade range, damage, rate, critical chance and critical damage at every tower level to expand massively on the amount of strategies available to you!Evolve Towers
Not only are there 34 towers in the game, but you can now evolve your towers into something different. Convert rocket towers into nuke towers, sacrifice coin generators to heal your base, make your towers resistant to certain enemy types and much more! This increases the total tower count to 68 and increases the available tactics to you!Unique Bosses
As the game progresses and you last longer, you get introduced to new bosses. Each boss has a unique ability such as speed boosting, protecting, skull distracting and much more. Did we mention you don't just have to worry about land? There's also various types of air units to beat!Skill Points
At the start of every game you get to spend a skill point on making your character unique. Every 1000 kills you gain another point to place into movement speed, reduced reload speed, build cost reduction or magazine size! Build a character around your style of play.Achievements and Unlockables
Earn experience, gain levels, unlock new characters, magical powers and abilities that help you defeat the never ending horde of enemies! Achievement progress is displayed in game so you can see how far off you are from unlocking the character you want.Statistics
Help understand what happened on each of your attempts on our new web service at . At the end of every game you play, you'll be given a unique link to open the statistics page and drill down into all the numbers possible. As an example, you can view a game here: . Don't worry, if you want to hide your statistics from other players, there's the option to mark them as private before you start! This web service is constantly improving over time, so expect more stats each time you visit there.Multiple Towers, each with 3 levels
There's currently 12 different types of tower, each with 3 levels and an alternative mode (evolve). See the stats for every tower, which player owns it, what the range of the tower is and what will happen if you upgrade it, simply by clicking it. You can also configure shortcut keys to speed build, upgrade and evolve.Character Abilities
Once unlocked through experience, you can select from various abilities that help aid your fight. These include slow dome, teleporter, dash, barriers, critical chance and a coin collector.Magical Powers
Once unlocked through experience, you can select from various magical powers that compliment abilities and your character customisation. These include golem smash, ice block, heal base, character rage and a tower damage boost.Multiple Environments with Dynamic Weather
Fight it out in the Forest, Desert or even indoors in the crypts! There's a full day and night cycle (this only affects the game visually), along with rain and thunder - the world you're fighting in feels alive! Don't like tower defence, want a hybrid strategy, or just simply enjoy shooting? Use your coins to buy weapons instead of towers and do the shooting yourself! There's a pistol, rifle, shotgun, laser, railgun, flame thrower and a sword to use. Lets not forget to mention the grenades, mines and air strikes that you can purchase!Incredible replay-ability and a huge range of strategies
We have players who have put 100's (yes, 100's) of hours into working out the best strategies so don't be put off if you don't score top 10 on your first go. AegisM is incredibly competitive with worldwide leaderboards. As you play more and more, you start working out what you need to do to survive longer. super good game never gets boring
This game is criminally underrated
Personally, I've always liked tower defense games, but they often feel boring. Just build, and then sit and wait til the wave of enemies is over, or if it overruns you. If you happen to survive the current wave, good, because now you gotta build even more and then wait for some more time while the wave tries to get past. Of course, there's other TD games where you can build while the wave is on-going, but the point remains, usually the wait is boring.
AegisM brings kind of a different approach to the TD genre. In addition to the building and occasional waiting for waves of enemies, it requires you to micro as well. "Huh?" you say. Yes, in AegisM, you have to collect the coins to build towers. And on top of them, you get a pistol to shoot them as well. And don't worry, you'll be able to upgrade your pistol to machine gun, laser gun, or even a SWORD.
I must say tho, I have only played this game on single player and co-op mode (there is also a PvP mode, which I think is currently bugged-devs say they are working on resolving the issue rn). For the single player mode, I have nothing but praise (and also swearing when I first encounter a new boss LOL). And for co-op, sometimes it ain't optimum. There was once I was playing with 2 people from Eastern Europe, no one other than the host could place any towers (I'm from South East Asia btw, so the ping should be >600 ish?) But co-op with someone nearer than me (a friend from another country in the same region) had no issues (at least on my side).
I have always liked the idea of a tower defense but I don't like the downtime and inability to do anything during the actually defense. This game has micro that keeps me on my toes for an entire play through. AegisM looks simple on the surface but has a lot more depth than meets the eye. The fact the developer was able to balance a TD for single or multiplayer is awesome. Hop on and play solo for 30 minutes or play with friends for hours on end. I can not recommend this enough at the price point its at. $5 US.
very fun & relaxing game! especially with friends!
It's a really fun game a really fun twist on the normal TD games. also for the low price of 3.99 euros it's one of the best games I have played so far. I havn't tryed the multyplayer yet but the single player is really good and keeps you intressed on hours on end the only thing that stops me from playing are my parent's. But it's a fun game and I hope it gets even better.
Had cause to refund the first time around as I hate WASD movement.
The game now has controller support, so I am now a happy little camper.
Enjoying the experience with a mouse/controller combo. It's one of those rare games (at least for me) where you think about tactics when you are doing other things.
As a fully integrated three dimensional game, AegisM makes other tower-defense games look like crossword puzzles. It has changed the genre completely. Play as a character who moves around, places towers, utilizes abilities, and shoots weapons in an effort to survive as long as possible. The enemy mobs are challenging and diverse. Each map requires a different strategy. The builds and possibilities are endless. Don't be afraid to experiment :) I have enjoyed every one of the 160+ hours I have played this game. Highly recommend!!!!

A worse version of the beloved Warcraft 3 mods, definitely not worth $13, refunded after 30 minutes of co-op play
Might have been fine for 1.99 mobile game. Does not live up to a $13 PC game.
I absolutely adore this game. Its the classic tower defence with enough charm and replay-ability to make you want to carry on and keep beating your score. I played this game at I63 and was immediately drawn in by how simple it was to learn whilst still being fun! My only little problem is that there isn't a replay option after you've failed so you have to keep going back to the menu and inviting everyone all over again, a small price to pay for the hours of enjoyment though!

This is a great game, a nice adaptation of the classic tower defence. It's great the way the devs have made it easy to play repeatedly and still have fun. A perfect balance of frustration and fun that keeps you going.
A fun tower defence with a bright and exciting art style compelling leaderboard a vast variety of towers, weapons, and abilities to play with enhanced for twitch streamers with the introduction of the ability for chat to affect your game highly reccomended for anyone who enjoys tower defence games or anyone who would just like a game where you can compete with your friends on the leaderboard
Was at i63 and saw my friend playing this game. I thought "hey, that's pretty good" so I decided to buy it. One of the better decisions I have made (shitposting being one of them)
I absolutely love this game! I have been playing it over the past few days, but started playing it at insomnia63 in Birmingham, UK! The head dev is awesome, too; really cares about the community and patches bugs so quickly it's like they weren't ever there! Will be stuck on this game for a long time!
Having loved playing Tower Defence games when i was younger i was instantly in to this game when i saw a friend streaming it, bought it instantly and haven't regretted a second!
It is more than a standard tower defence game, YOU ARE IN IT!
No easy mode full map view, you have to position your character right to plan your moves accordingly!
You either learn and think about strategy or you will be wiped fast!
The towers themselves have multiple options in terms of upgrades , you can either upgrade them like normal for better damage/effects or choose to evolve them to change how they work completely!
There is also effects that require some figuring out that are unorthadox but change up the gameplay massively (Little hint...use your towers effects against each other!)
The Charachter: You yourself can fight! Choose from a variety of weapons or sidearms/gadgets to help your towers take on the enemy! From a Pistol to Rifle or even a Flamethrower! However if you prefer the up front approach you can bring a sword to the fight and mow down enemies with your combo system!
Content: There are currently two map themes at the time of this review, Forest and Desert, each with 4 and 5 variations respectively. I have tried to play as many as possible to get a feel for the game and they all feel different and require completely different strategies! This combined with a large list of challenges and leaderboards to compete in will give you plenty to do!
Community: Really really friendly, from talking about game balance and ideas in a proper discussion rather than just slamming ideas around to joining in each others streams to learn from each other i have genuinely enjoyed the conversation and ideas they bring.
Well worth the money and can fully reccomend the game!
Originally playing this game at Insomnia63 I loved how it ran and the new twist on tower defence games.
I like how you're in the thick of the action whilst protecting your base from the enemies, collecting coins to build new towers!
It took me a few tries to get my head around all teh different tower mechanics but not I'm getting there I'm trying my best to push those leaderboards!
Last night Idiscovered the PvP mode which I must say is REALLY cool, you can send in enemies to attack your oponent whilst building towers to protect against his offense push!
The developer seems very community focused and is putting out regular updates to tweak parts of the game which, I personally appreciate, it shows dedication.
If you like tower defence, you will love this, give it a go and see you in teh field!
Played the game at i63 this weekend and was immediatley hooked (Managed to get two corsair coins on my first go) had an interesting chat with some members of the team and wanted to support the fantastic game. Only criticism would be that It would be nice to have an option on the menu to put me into a single player game rather than than having to create a new game from the lobby.
I've always loved TD games back in the Warcraft 3 days. This hits home.

Fantastic TD game here. Also has some action elements as you have a controllable player that can shoot projectiles and drop mines etc.
Really great looking and more importantly balanced towers.
Sound design is great.
Played this coop with 2 buddies and had a great time. Definately much more fun and balanced for coop multiplayer.
Solo is do-able but maps with multiple lanes can be really tough to obtain control early on.
Unit health is balanced depending on the amount of players you have in your party.
There's a pretty fun twitch mode where viewers can choose waves of enemies for the streamer to have to fight.
Twitch mode works well but lacks depth currently. Still a lot of fun though and glad it's part of the game.
There is some progression between levels. You level up and unlock new abilities which is a nice touch.
Also lots of character skins to unlock.
If youre a TD fan and have a mate or 2 to play this with then definately pick this up.
