The House in Fata Morgana: A Requiem for Innocence

A great addition to the Fata Morgana universe. Seeing how everything once started, and from different perspectives at that, was really intriguing. I didn't expect certain characters to get as much screentime as they did. My highlight may have been the sub episodes. You could really tell that the author cared for the characters. Recommended to anyone who loved the first game and wants more!

I love the house at fata morgana and Requiem for innocence as well, the only visual novel type of thing I really enjoy, so i guess even if you are not into this things you might end up really digging it, great story

amazing way to add more context to everything from the main game.
I really liked how the main part of this game gave us a deeper understanding of what went on through the characters' heads, and the afterstory side episode was a much needed happy ending

I've read all Fata series, and its truly a masterpiece, it's something that will stay with me until I die, the soundtracks, the story are haunting in a good way, I can see myself with tears in my eyes in 20 years from now on just by hearing any of Gao songs.

I've never in my life cried with a game like I cried here, after finishing Requiem, Fragment and The Revenant's Dream I've stared at my screen crying unable to contain my feelings.

To Novect team and Hanada, thank you for making this masterpiece, you got a follower for life and I can't wait to see your new works.

I enjoyed the first Fata Morgana, and there were some good things about this prequel. it provides some backstories or additional fleshing out of some of the characters from the original. I found some of this interesting and some of it less interesting, but there wasn't enough to push this over the "recommend" threshold.

Gorgeous art, soundtrack, story, characters, and a great follow up to the original visual novel!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the depth this game gave to some characters and most importantly to Jacopo and Morganas story but honestly I couldn't focus too much on it since their age difference makes me so uncomfortable. The way where some conversations and topics were going, were just too much for me. Worst part is how everyone else completely encouraged his behaviour, even leading it to sexual topics.
Completely ignoring this, the story between them really is amazing and heartfelt but adding a few years to her age or making Jacopo younger really wouldn't hurt.
The bonus chapters and after storys were 50/50. I loved some, disliked others.

I'm really not sure if I recommend this game, feels wrong to me. I feel like the first game is much better and completely enough without unnessecary perverted details.

The base story is the reason this franchise got so much renown, but personally, I love Requiem more. There is just something really appealing about the story of Jacopo & Morgana that puts it above the others for me.

You might be worried that Requiem is kind of redundant when you already know the end results from the previous entry. I also usually feel less inclined to check out prequels due to not being that interested in going backwards instead of forward in a story. But in this case, I feel like knowing what's going to happen actually creates a really unique and somber atmosphere that makes this such a one of a kind, albeit quite depressing and melancholic experience.

Requiem and the additional context it provides easily made both Jacopo and Morgana into some of my all time favorite fictional characters. After you finish it, make sure to also check out the Fragment story (from both PoVs!) to get at least some continuation from where the main story left off. It's short, but it's definitely one of the highlights of Fata Morgana.

Also, feel free to check out Reincarnation if you can access it, the direct sequel that's not on Steam/PC. I don't think it's worth it when talking about the other 3 pairs of characters, but I can recommend it to anyone who wants to see an actual final conclusion to Morgana's and Jacopo's journey.

An amazing companion piece for Fata Morgana, it's great for all the same reasons.

Great story in conjunction with amazing soundtracks(Song for the Sunrise by Cocoro Mashima is masterpiece), and interesting side stories. Main story was soooo long tho. But everything else was magnificent.My fav char is Jacopo and his dynamic with Morgana, so that is why i really like it. 8/10

I liked it, though as a companion to the original VN it feels nonessential.

The main story is a mostly straightforward fleshing-out of a story you already know.

The side stories give us new info on the background or fate of various characters and I don't suggest skipping them.

A worthy sequel in every regard with moments that manage to emotionally surpass even some of the best parts from the main game (partly thanks to another stellar soundtrack)

Main content serves as a great companion to the base game, side content even more so

Very insightful prequel to the original game, definitely recommend to check it out if you've enjoyed original FM and are curious about more relevant background details! <3 I overall preferred the first game, since that one was more twisted and mysterious whereas this prequel is more straightforward, but I'm really glad that it exists to clarify certain aspects.
Just like the first game here is a great atmosphere, as well as an impactful and tragic story.

The only thing I can get from this VN is author's arrogance.Ceren,a teenager suffering from Williams–Beuren syndrome,is classified as 'ill people' just like tyrant Lord Barnier.And Morgana,an imprisoned blood slave just as"chained woman" in Xuzhou is shipped with a man who enslaves and tortures her by the author only to persuade readers this man is soooooo deeply affectionate and his freewill kidnapped by the world as if Jacob is some pitiable and helpless little thing though he is the richest and most capable freeman now.
But the author never shows same sympathy to these vulnerable groups but plays with their misery.Just like what happened in previous VN--Nobles and cis-het men were causes of every catastrophe and got no punishment while women,children,trans people and the poor paid all price for them.

Played the remaid of dreams version which is why I have no hours recorded. I wouldn't say Requiem for Innocence is essential because The House In Fata Morgana is already a masterpiece by itself, but Requiem for Innocence is as much a masterpiece and reading it will enhance the overall experience.

A great addition to the main game. If you're interested in how the story between Jacobo and Morgana truly unfolded, I highly recommend it.

Interesting and extremely worthwhile. This game also includes a variety of side stories, all of which tied into the first game and added an additional layer of depth to the characters. The art, music, and writing all continue to shine and make for an enjoyable experience. (Morgana also continues to be the best girl, no argument there.)

I just finished the game after being so hesitant to start. Not because the game isn't good, but because I'm afraid that I will get so hooked on the story. And I did.

I already knew how the story ends before I started, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the game. I giggled when I saw how their youthful days went and felt heartbroken by how their lives went downhill.

Requiem is overall a great game, highly recommended! And please consider porting other games of the franchise too. I would love to see the beloved characters again!

11/10 play this after the first game and jacopo is the goat
