Thoroughly enjoyed this point and click mystery game. I'm not the most clever sleuth, so I did get stuck a few times. But I did enjoy the gameplay and the stylized graphics. It kept me working for several sessions. Definitely worth the price. Here's hoping for a sequel.
When the head of MIA is killed by a rival HAVOK agent, it falls to Agent A to avenge the late chief. As he follows the killer's trail, it quickly becomes apparent Agent A's arrival was anticipated. Can he escape with his life while uncovering the truth behind HAVOK's insidious origin and their future plans that threaten to throw the world into turmoil?
Agent A: A puzzle in disguise is a classic point-and-click game, where you explore the luxurious cliffside lair of Agent LaRouge. Collect items and info as you solve the numerous puzzle thrown into your path, with a healthy mix of item collection and problem solving puzzles.
First and foremost, the game is stylish and smooth with a nice plot. The design is an eye-catchingly pop art style that is surprisingly well animated, with objects interacting and locations shifting without any hitching. While there isn't a lot of voice work, the acting is done well with appropriate emotions and lipsync. The puzzle difficulty is probably about 4/10, with a few exceptions on both ends [annoyingly hard to braindead], although I never felt completely lost or disassociated.
I do have two mild complaints. Because of the way the layout is designed, backtracking is a pain, especially since there is a small animation with each movement. This is highlighted in Chapter 4, where you collect blueprint parts to add to the frame at the beginning of the stage to reveal security codes. There are five passwords with 2-3 parts each, and while you can collect multiple parts to insert at once, you will still have to come back 5 times at least. This leads into my second complaint: the length of passwords. Some security codes are like 9-10 numbers, and there is no in-game note taking tool. While you can just take a photo with your phone or jot it down on some IRL paper, it is a mild annoyance when the codes could have been 5-6 digits with nothing lost.
Overall, 8/10 game. Fun puzzles and clean mechanically with an entertaining story.
Starts out great, turns into a slog.
Good game. Will recommend if you're a mystery game lover+ you have trouble solving hard questions. This game has a very comfortable flow that every new clue will guide you to the previously unsolved one. So you need to have good memory to remember where those clues and puzzles are or you will spend a lot of time wandering between the rooms. Overall good experience. If you want to unlock all the achievement (spoil alert) DO NOT FEED THE BIRD TOO SOON.
good game, nice puzzle, kinda bothersome with huge map
Lovvedd it. The puzzles had soo many layers and depth. Do play it in one go coz its 1 big story and the puzzle pieces are connected.
So good I played it on multiple platforms
Round 1: Android playthrough
First came across Agent A browsing the app store on my phone in January 2021. Had a great time during the second COVID lockdown tapping away and fell in love with the mid century spy art style.
My review at the time was "Really fun and exciting game. Good story, daft characters, ideal. Challenging enough that you might want to reach for a walkthrough guide but designed well enough that you can get through every challenge without it if you stick at it. I want more!"
Round 2: Android perfectionist playthrough
There's a bunch of fun achievements that you're not going to come across unless you're super curious (or reading the walkthrough afterwards because you're a perfectionist). Played it again of course!
Round 3: PC
Fast forward to 2025, I come across the game on Steam and I'm like "YES". Couldn't really remember much about it except for it being good and enthusiastically played it again. Just as good the second time around - and I didn't need to much help to get through it this time - got to the end in about 3 hours.
Round 4
Same thing happened again with those achievements! Immediately restarted the game to unlock the rest. Was still fun! I think I'm done now though haha. That said...no spoilers...the ending leaves things open to a sequel I reckon. Really hope that happens!
TLDR
Good - buy it!
Wonderful game ! Very cozy and funny.
It was pretty fun! It was a little tedious to move around but it was still a really good game!
Enjoyed the game a lot, especially when doing all the side quest achievements (I love Onyx). The plot is not much of a "mind-blowing" experience, but for a cute li'l detective game, I had a pretty good time. The puzzles aren't that hard; however, some are "trial-and-error," which can be annoying for others. The only time I got stuck was when my stupid brain didn't think that there's another accessible location where I can get an item I've been missing (dumb).
fun short puzzle game, i like it a lot!.
An absolute BANGER
Very lousy story. Progression of story relies on random weird events.
Completely no logic for many puzzles. One needs to spend time trying over and over rather than have a brain to pass the game.
Very linear story. No Easter Egg. It might be worth to purchase the game with 90% off, but it would be a waste of time to play it.
Fun game with clever puzzles that are not too difficult.
Well created with good humour.
Had an enjoyable time, most puzzles were logical; more often as not, there's clues in-world for the less obvious ones. Observation and memory are the key to progressing quickly through them. The story itself plays up on the classic spy-vs-spy baddies vs the goodies, good for a few chuckles. The zoom forward / step back game mechanic was fine, however it did get a little tedious in Chapter 4 (little too much having to backtrack all the way to the first 'room' to get the next needed clue), but it's a minor complaint.
For the price, it was totally worth it, and left me hoping one day there might be an "Agent B" sequel. If looking for a quick 5-6 hours of entertainment (bit longer if hunt down every achievement), give this one a go (oh, and there's a free demo if still unsure).
A fun little game. Challenging enough to be interesting while easy enough to be relaxing.
this was amazing rip jerry pls make another
I enjoyed the game thoroughly! I was looking for an alternative to Nancy Drew games and stumbled onto this!
This game is super fun. Would've loved to have seen it be a bit longer given the price, but overall I thoroughly enjoyed it (even as the type of person who usually despises the puzzle parts of most games). Highly recommended.
nice fun short puzzle game . i liked it
I liked the plot of the game and the puzzles were often very enjoyable. Got frustrated with the laser puzzle (truly nonsensical to me) and found the movement made me seasick. Recommended for folks who don't have a hard time with first-person game movement and who are better at puzzles than me!
Quite a fun puzzle game with great art and a cool theme
got bored by the game the art is good but everything else is not buy it when the game in sale otherwise don't think of it
Yak&Co made two of my favorite puzzle games, which is saying a lot since they've only had 2 releases!
This game in particular was amazing. The storyline, the plot (albeit predictable) plottwists, the humor in commentary, backtracking and use of such a great artstyle. I loved evert second of it!
Even coming back to get all achievements wasn't a drag, I had fun the second time around, which is rare in these types of games!
I 100% recommend getting this if you like the puzzle, searching, or point and click genres, I sure didn't regret it!
Julien mochte das spiel sehr und ich hab gecarried 7/10 in normalen spielen 9/10 mit der story und 9/10 als puzzle game
great adventure game
recommend! short, fun, puzzle game in that suave ?60s? spy setting. really liked how the puzzles and environment flowed together. I must say that by act 5 the wannabe cutesy, very safe, one liners and rhymes really annoyed the **** out of me.
Very charming and the puzzles are fun but logical. A very enjoyable puzzle game. The animation style looks dated now but it's fine.
Great game! Lots of fun and interesting puzzles. The whole family loved it.
For what this is, it's not bad. It's a click adventure. As far as click adventures go this game is put together decently. With the spy aspect added to it, it's kinda fun. There are definitely a few spots where I got hung up on things and had to really backtrack and search for things, but for the most part I was able to figure things out. There is a ridiculous laser puzzle in Chapter 3 that I had to look up the answer for because the puzzle was very unintuitive.
Rating: 9/10 The game is good for what it is. I haven't beat the game yet but I have docked it 1 point for the ridiculousness of the laser puzzle. Even after looking up the answer I didn't understand how the answer made any sense even with the explanation right in front of me.
Fun game!

- This game aiming at casual player, if u are casual player, this game will be good enough.
- Have some breaking bug in this game and can really annoying, especially when u get bored of the game.
- Heavily suggest to buy on discount price, not full price.
A fun mind teaser in the form of a point & click/hidden object game. You can knock it out in 5 hours or less. Most of the puzzles make sense logically.
got this game because Dora from Neebs Gaming decided to give it a go. Very fun puzzle game and WELL worth the current sale price of $3.
more fun than I thought it'd be - puzzles range from ezAF to gotta take notes - similar to Myst but with more stuff to click on - 9/10 recommend
Quick Review
"Agent A: A puzzle In Disguise" is a quite well rounded point and click adventure with interesting puzzles and a good story + great visuals.
(Playthrough/Gameplay of the game)

If this quick review isn't useful to you maybe the following "extended version" could help ^^
The good
- The story it's very predictable and simple, BUT it's really well executed and told to the player.
- Except for one or two puzzles that felt a little bit odd and hard to solve, the gameplay mechanics and puzzle design it's pretty good.
- The visual style it's quite good, and I really liked it.
The bad
- Sometimes some puzzles can feel a little bit longer and complex than what you might expect. Making the player go around a huge portion of the map without any option to make the process smoother and faster.
Things that might help you decide
- The game can be completed in 3/3.5h.
[*]Low-spec friendly game
Final recommendation / Price evaluation
The game it's 100% recommended, but paying full price for it feels only right to me if you are into this kind of games, for everyone else I'd say that with a dicount of around 50% it's a really good idea to get it. What I don't understand it's the difference in price between the mobile version and the steam one (Android 5€ VS Steam 16,79€)
I hope this review is useful to you ^^. If you want to support me remember to check out the videos linked in the review, like and subscribe.
Have fun playing ^^
Such a cheesy and hard to swallow story I can't take it seriously. I'm falling asleep solving these things because the entire time I'm thinking, "who'd build a house like this? A real spy would never make all this weird shit. Maybe they'd hide some comm devices and have a clever hiding spot for a few guns. It's so bad I can't enjoy the relatively decent puzzles.
Have you ever thought about making the puzzles more realistic and relevant? Who's to say realistic can't have puzzles.
-For example, you could have a protagonist look for scratched framing from where the spy pries the baseboard up so he can access the opening in the drywall he made to hide his documents.
-You could go around looking for squeaky floorboards.
-You could dismantle lightbulbs and electrical receptacles and consult a dictionary for what a normal bulb/receptacle is supposed to be composed of. If you find something extra, well, there's your bug.
-Open up a light switch, find an extra wire in the box not hooked up to anything. Attach it to the switch, flick it and a secret door opens.
-Maybe the spy has boobytrapped the door. If you turn the doorknob, it'll pull the trigger on a landmine just inside the house.
Thankfully I got it at 90% discount. I will probably finish it, but only for a lack of alternatives.
An enjoyable puzzle game which includes remembering sequences, finding hidden objects and deciphering codes.
The commentary you can read when you interact with objects was a nice touch.
I also liked the sound design - the little clicks and jingles when something is slot into place or picked up.
My only criticism is that the "movement" was a bit annoying at times. When you click on something, there is a small zoom-in. Quite often you have to click again (and again) to get right up close, especially if you want to place/pick up an object. That in itself is not too bad, but later on in the game there's more back-and-forth, so having to do multiple clicks can get tiresome.
Though it was more apparent when I was achievement-hunting; I think I was too absorbed in the puzzles the first time I played.
I do recommend Agent A, but wait for a sale.
I beat it in 6 hrs without looking up cheats.. great game that's well worth the money!
this is not fun
A nice and fun puzzle game that knows how to not take itself too seriously without compromising a good and balanced gameplay.
★★★★☆ - 4 out of 5 stars
This is a cute little puzzle game that took me 4 hours to complete. The puzzles aren't very difficult, and it can be a bit tedious going back and forth between places so much, but it was fun and satisfying to play. It wasn't exactly a shock who the "boss" was, though. lolol
simple yet charming point and click puzzle adventure with a very nice artstyle
This was recommended on r/cozygamers and I loved it! I Definitely recommend it!
I thought this puzzle game was awesome! I really enjoyed my time with the game. The puzzles aren't too difficult, with nothing really new for seasoned puzzle gamers, but it was still very enjoyable. The visuals and music weren't under or over done. I think the humor in this game is also a real highlight. It follows the stereotypical spy plot, but the main character constantly cracks puns and dad jokes, and I laughed several times. While this game doesn't do anything really new or original, it does these things quite well. I think of it like the puzzle game equivalent of comfort food. It's just good.
I recommended play this game for u brain
This point-and-click puzzle game was an enjoyable experience from start to finish. The graphics were visually appealing, and although the spy-themed story was somewhat predictable, it still kept me entertained throughout. The controls were intuitive and easy to grasp.
The puzzles were cleverly designed, offering a satisfying balance between logic and challenge. While some puzzles could be tricky if you didn’t pay close attention, they always felt fair and rewarding to solve with a bit of patience. Overall, it’s a game I’d highly recommend to fans of puzzle-solving adventures when it's on sale.
awesome!
Some of the puzzles leave something to be desired but I could have forgiven that, if not for the incredibly tedious navigation. Having to click back and forward at every single point became very grating very quickly.
